I was very excited to find this re-released and on Blu Ray. The picture quality wasnt HD quality but oh well, I can once again enjoy this great anime.

I first saw this movie in the 90s. When I saw it on sale recently I picked it up. If you're curious like I was it's definitely worth another watch..

If you like a good story and with an anime that is older. This one is a good standout. Not for the kids i will say.

Ninja Scroll is an older animated movie more geared towards the mature! Very violent but definitely a game changer in the anime world.

the picture quality is great but something is wrong with the sound. I put my old dvd in and it sounded ten times better. Ive checked other reviews and im not the only one to have noticed. in the dvd, the weapon sound effects are the loudest things ever(in a good way) in the blu ray, everything is at the same level

Being in Blu-ray really does wonders for the quality versus the original programming. However, the movie is still in the old 4:3 format that is designed for your old tube TVs. Tons better than VHS, though! I still have the old DVD release of this one and even though I hadn't watched it in a long while, getting a Blu-ray release for any anime is awesome enough to warrant the purchase especially for only $20. Don't expect anything out of the extras. About 5 trailers which are just clips with some music playing to them. Sentai doesn't invest much on extras :/
