Love the bigger screen and the Christmas pricing was awesome. When I first heard of the bigger size it didn't sound like much of a change. After holding one I realized I was soooo wrong. It is clearer and much larger than I thought it would be. Graphics are fantastic and the sleek design is easy to hold and play. Would reccomend to everyone. Staff was friendly and well informed. Did not have to wait in a long line either. The store had plenty in stock as well.

I bought this mainly because of a game coming out called Project X Zone. I had used it at demos in stores and found the system enjoyable. After owning it and using it more frequently, I have to say this is THE BEST handheld system out there. Incredible visual quality on the large screen. Also great battery life since the screen is so bright and large. Only real complaint is the 3D feature. I'm not a big 3D fan as it is anyways. You have to hold the system in a perfect position or the screen just blurs instead of having a 3D effect. The 3D does look very neat though and adds depth to the game. Project X Zone looks just as good with the 3D off though and I'm happy about that. Another great thing is the backwards compatibility. I love playing my older DS games on that large screen. Slight stretch or distortion to the games since they weren't designed for that screen size, but overall they still look great.

A friend told me how much he was enjoying his new Nintendo 3DS so I decided to buy one. I am thoroughly impressed at what this little console can do. The 3D effect is really cool, but I find I'm constantly tilting the screen to keep from seeing a double image which can be a distraction when fighting a boss or maneuvering across platforms. Luckily you can switch the 3D off and on easily during gameplay. There's also a 3D camera which is fun. The graphics look great even without the 3D on. Overall, I'd recommend.

The Nintendo 3DS XL has a lot going for it . Larger top and bottom screens for gameplay and browsing. A solid, yet simple control scheme with easy to use touch screen navigation. Built in glasses free 3D technology that can be turned on or off, or even adjusted for the individual player experience. The unit has a very sleek look and nice design. The ability to browse the Internet, it's various features (i.e. E-shop for downloads, demos, videos and more) and many apps (Netflix, Hulu-Plus). However, the game changer which sets this system apart from the rest is its ready to go backwards compatibility with DS games making an already large game library even more huge. What's not to love? Written by a 30+ year old gamer.

I have been a loyal Nintendo consumer and I've owned every gaming system they have ever put out. The new console is easier to grip and comfortable to use, with rounded corners and responsive controls. The console is well balanced when the unit is open. I love the larger screens on this new model too. This unit is heavier and thicker than its predecessor, so it is a little ungainly to slip into your back pocket, but that's okay. Be aware that the proprietary Nintendo charger is NOT included (supposedly to keep the price down) so don't forget to buy one. The battery life has been improved also. And there is a wide array of games to choose from. The 3DS XL is welcomed addition to the Nintendo family.

So far since owning DS lite and moved to 3DS and now 3DS XL I couldn't find myself going back to a smaller screen size and being as it is portable and still compatible with DS game makes this a worth while investment to keep for my gaming needs. Plus is that it isn't a console gaming system which lends itself to be able to play when ever and where ever only need is that it has a place to charge otherwise graphics are excellent for screen viewing and size helps to better see the graphics. It's a expensive item to have but one worth of it's name Nintendo.

It was a gift for my son who wanted it for his birthday. That was a very good choice. 3ds xl has a wide screen and handy to carry anywhere. We can install certain standard apps like YouTube. It is backward compatible for games with DS and 2ds which is great. I got price match too but when it was done I could not get the free cover that I could have got if I ordered on buestbuy.com.That seemed strange to me but that was what it happened. Got the package within 48 hours of order at my door. Superfast!!!!

Love it! The big screen versus it various DS models is great. It's easy to use, and lots of fun. Still getting used to the 3D option, but at least it's adjustable and only takes a flick of a switch to turn it off when it bothers my eyes. It's also great that you can get online to the Nintendo eShop and load any of the available classic games if you want (which I did). With the right accessories, this is great for any age!

The 3DS XL is the best iteration of the 3DS system so far. I have only had the original blue 3DS and I sold it and bought the black 3DS XL and it was worth it. I also bought it when it was on sale for $150 and I thought that it was a deal that I couldn't pass up. The 3DS XL is better than the 3DS because of larger screens, easier head placement for 3D effect, better battery life by about 2 hours and it is more comfortable to play long sessions. I know that 3D is currently said to be dead, but I can't get enough of it and this system has a ton of fantastic games and more are on their way. I would highly recommend this system to any gamers!

I don't feel like writing a long review as the other reviews seem to cover the finer points of the item just fine. I just want to say, if you have an original 3DS, upgrade to this one if you can. If you don't have a 3DS at all, buy this one. Your eyes will love you for it. I rarely played my original 3DS (with 3D on or off) because the screens were so small and my eyes would get tired after 30 minutes or so (this never happened with my DS Lite, seems to just be more happening on the screen with 3DS games). I wasn't going to pick up the XL until I was reading reviews on other sites and almost every one of them were bragging about how much easier this one is on the eyes. They couldn't have been more correct. I went to gamestop and traded my old 3DS and a few games and got the XL, did my system transfer in the store (took about 30 minutes or so) and walked out with my new XL all ready to go with my ambassador games and all of the other games I downloaded from the eshop.

I have always been a fan of Nintendo. The 3DS XL is a great gaming system especially with the larger screen. I feel it is much easier to play when you can see a more vivid picture with the larger screens. Plus the 3D effect is nice as well since you can turn it on and off.

This thing is huge! Very easy to play with and I don't have to give myself a headache trying to read things or spot small objects. I kind of wish there were more games, but I'm excited about the new Pokémon coming out for it in October. Sadly when I have the 3D on your eyes can go a bit wonky when you move the screen which you do a lot for some games- which is difficult sometimes but so cool! The best feature however? You can toggle the amount of 3D you get so it doesn't even need to be an issue. Still love the Ds ability to play with your friends and the online ability to play with them even if they're not right next to you.

This is a lot of fun for the whole family with a wide variety of games to play. This DS is very durable and light weight, the screen is a nice size and the graphics are amazing.

On the plus side, having the larger upper and lower screens is great for me. It is much easier to see what I am doing, and I make better movements in games where I have to jump, turn, etc. On the minus side, it weighs more and makes my wrists ache. I cannot play too long at a time because I need to give my wrists a rest. That is probably better for me, anyway.

This portable game console has a large screen that enables you to play games and view them in 3D depending on the game too of course. The graphics are crystal clear and the variety of colors that are available make it a perfect gift for people of all ages. The volume is also on a great level and easily adjustable. Other than playing games you can also do many other fun things on it and even connect with your friends with certain games.

I used to have a Nintendo DS Lite, after it got stolen, I knew I had to replace it. The 3DS XL is amazing. The screen is the right size and the 3D is pretty impressive.
