The sturdy build quality, the bright and sharp paint job, and the relative ease of use that I'd heavily recommend picking up an amiibo with your copy of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. It's honestly like having a persistent second-player around to train against. The computer accelerates the amiibo character's skills just enough to keep things interesting and to that end every figurine you buy will add something to gameplay.

We all know Mario. He's by far the most recognizable Nintendo and perhaps Videogame character around. His amiibo does not disappoint. The fire ball he is holding is surprisingly good quality. I was pleasantly surprised by the level of detail on Mario, from his mustache to the overalls.

The amiibo line is a great line of toys that enhance the game they at designed for. Training them in Smash Brothers is easy enough and adds to the experience. Mario's design is great and looks good amongst the other character. Great for collectors or fans of the capped plumber.

Great detail, works with several games, and as a stand-alone toy for the kids to play with it's fun even when you aren't using it in-game!

Mario is well-made and my personal favorite amiibo figure with built-in capabilities that interact with the Wii U gamepad. So far, we've been able to use it for Mariocart 8 (to unlock racing outfits) and in Super Smash Bros (to store amiibo data and unlock special capabilities). Still learning what these can do, but have been impressed so far!

Amiibo's are a excellent new toy line up from Nintendo which allows you to unlock features in many Nintendo games. Similar to Disney's Infinity or Skylanders, Amiibo's are a great for all ages whether it's for collecting or just playing. Amiibo's are compatible with all kinds of Nintendo games each with unique features to unlock, such as being able to train your own Amiibo character to raise in Super Smash Bros., or special Mii costumes for Mario Kart 8, as well as getting special items for Hyrule Warriors. Many upcoming Nintendo games will be compatible with Amiibos so the fun will never end.

I have always loved Super Mario and Smash bros and this amiibo is a great classic. Great detail and design looks amazing. Will be purchasing more amiibos.

Between this one and the other Mario Amiibo, this one is better detailed, smaller, and looks ready for a fight. The other one has a friendlier look to it. They both function the same, so it's up to your preference. Amiibos can only have data from one game on them, so at this time you have to choose between training a Smash Bros fighter or saving board items and decorative bases in Mario Party 10. No matter what data you have saved on here, you can use it to unlock things in the games that use Amiibos that way.

The Amiibo never fails to register with my gamepad, it looks gorgeous, and its a ton of fun to play with in Super Smash Bros.

This is the first and one of the best amiibos. The fireball looks cool and this figure has a lot of compatible games!

It's a good quality figure that's compatible with a several games including Smash Brothers and Super Mario Maker.

We purchased the available Amiibo's at Best Buy for my son for Christmas. He loves having them all lined up when he plays his Wii. We all use them for Super Smash Brothers which is our favorite game to play as a family. The more you use them, the stronger the get! We really hope these catch on and they don't stop making them. Once we start collecting something, we don't stop until we have them all! It would be a shame if they get discontinued!

Great new product from Nintendo. Amiibos are really cool great for Super Smash Bros. and Mario Kart 8

I bought this as a gift for a die hard Super Smash Bros. fan. I wasn't entirely sure what it was in the beginning, haha. After my giftee opened it up, he showed me what it did and how it worked. It's definitly a fun addition to the game and lets you "raise" a computer player to fight similarly to your playstyle. It worked flawlessly. Very cool.

I've got this amiibo so this will be a general review of the figure quality and it's in game use. Quality: These are great looking figures. I was very happy with the quality of all the figures. They feel solid, probably won't break with an accidental drop. Really nice to look at. You could display these and never use them in a game and it would be a nice looking collection. In game use: First thing you need to understand is that you don't need to buy any amiibos for any games. There are several Games like Smas Bros Wii U, Hyrule Warrios, Mario Kart 8, etc. For this amiibo, I prefer the Super Mario edition.

Classic and fun to play with. My first amiibo. He's been kicking trash in smash bros!

The figurines have all been nice and high quality. They only open a few aesthetic options in games now except Super Smash Bros. But give them time. For now, they are mostly collector's items and look good displayed on a desk or shelf. Kids may enjoy playing with them as toys, but action figures, they are not.
