This wave introduced a new line of amiibos .. the Splatoon series. This series is a great addition to Nintendo's lineup and certainly adds to the release of Splatoon. The figure itself is very high quality. You will notice nice little touches to this figure along with the Inkling Girl and the Squid. The major one which adds to the appeal is the ink that is splattered on the base. You will also see that the ink container on the boy's back is filled with ink.. not just a sticker or paint on the outside. A good little touch. I have yet to remove my figure from its packaging, but I have read that using this amiibo in Splatoon adds a considerable amount to the game, such as additional missions and weapons. One negative to this item for collectors: packaging size. You will notice right off the bat that the plastic for this amiibo is not as large as the Smash and Super Mario amiibos. Depending on how you display your new-in-box amiibos, it may look strange. The way I have mine shelved though, you can't even tell.

while not the 3 figure set I wanted I was fully happy with this standalone amiibo. He unlocks some gear out of the box and opens up extra challenges that you can complete to unlock even more fresh gear. If you own platoon I say definitely pick one of these up

It's great that they have come out with character aiimbo's. Unlock some new outfits, games and much more when you sync your Splattoon Aiimbo's to the game. Well worth the purchase!

must have of any squid or kid.. see what i did there lol.. but in all seriousness the inkling boy is a great looking amiibo and unlocks cool gear and guys in the game

The splatoon amiibo have a lot more details than the super smash brothers series, they are excellent on how they look and have nl complaints about this product

I ordered this Amiibo for my son so he could get certain equipment in Splatoon 2. However, we were both surprised by the quality and the attention to detail that the amiibo has. Even the ink tank looks like it has ink in it... a very nice touch.

This is one the better looking amiibo has created. You can unlock additional challenges in Splatoon if you have this little fella.

Cool design. Opens up cool in-game bonuses. Seems to have more refined detail than previosu amiibo.

The Splatoon series amiibo really raised the bar for detail on amiibo. While many of the smash line have odd faces, or other flaws, the Splatoon series of amiibo manages to look just how I imagine them.

I love the game so much that it makes sense to buy this. the figurine is very detailed, especially the ink canisters on the inkling's back. definitely will recommend playing the game. I had so much fun with it!

I love the amiibos. This is another high quality figure, and i have yet to be disappointed by quality or by any defects. wish i could find the girl though. only can find the boy at best buys.

My son begged for this. After hi and low beat but had it. He can’t stop talking enough about how cool it is. Great addition to the Wii U great price point as well

The Splatoon Amiibo gives extra rewards for replaying levels completed for extra coins to buy weapons and gear. Wish I could've gotten the other Amiibo characters for Splatoon

If you are looking for just the Splatoon Boy, this is your best bet. Unlocks new gear and challanges to your Splatoon Game

I only collect amiibo's and I love the attention to detail that is placed in all amiibo that have been released. Very high quality products.

My product came in the mail perfect and undamaged. The detail on the figure is great. It ads another level of fun to the Splatoon game
