The amiibo purchased works very well. Can be used on the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS XL and Nintendo 2DS XL systems. If you want to use the amiibo with any of the Nintendo 3DS and 2DS systems, you need to purchase the adapter separately. The amiibos unlock items in games that are compatible. The Nintendo websites (and also websites associated with their respective games) always give detailed information about amiibos and their unlockable features.

If you're an Earthbound fan, you'd def like this guy on your shelf, desk, or wherever you put your figurines and such. Considering that Earthbound merch is often few and far between, having Ness (and even Lucas) is a nice addition. It also helps that the figure can be used in Super Smash bros

Awesome design. Great paint job. The only issue I had was that the box arrived bent but otherwise I am satisfied with my purchase.

This rare little Amiibo recently popped up in my local est Buy Best and I couldn't be happier. If you've got the chance to order one for yourself I'd highly suggest it. He's got a simple sculpt and paint job that really pops amongst my collection, and again, he's been very rare up until now, so he's a smart buy for anyone looking to complete their collection.

This amiibo is very well made and looks great with the rest of my collection. Highly recommend for collectors!

I had to get this amiibo, as it is Ness, the main character from my favorite game, EarthBound! The figure is well made and looks great, and it can be used with Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U and the 3DS. I have been building his level up to help me in this game. Highly recommended!

This is a great amiibo design! Nintendo keeps improving amiibo after every amiibo release!

I visited Best Buy later in the day on the day of the major restock, and was surprised to see none on the floor. A helpful employee went in the back and got the ones I'd asked for (they just hadn't put them out yet). Earthbound is a series I greatly enjoy, and one that rarely has any sort of merchandise (even the games) that's either available in the US or not extremely expensive. Lucas' amiibo was quite easy to get, but the stock of Ness amiibo ran dry real quickly. I was surprised to see him reprinted, but thankful nonetheless. The model still suffers from slightly too big eyes like the initial run did, but the figure still looks great. The design for the box is very aesthetically pleasing and looks great with the others.

Amiibo is the most recent product in the same vein of toys as Skylanders and Disney Infinity figures. All three brands are figures made to look like in-game characters which are then attached to a base that hides a Near Field Communication chip. Placing these figures onto a type of scanner allows the chips, and any data saved to them, to be read and used in a compatible game. This ness amiibo is excellent. Great pose and colors. I like the fact that he is a bit shorter than other amiibos since he is indeed a young child, but the detail in the figure is truly excellent. Any earthbound fan would be pleased.

I am glad I was able to purchase this amiibo figure. Ness is very-well deigned and is one of my favorite characters to play with on Super Smash Bros Wii U.

It's an awesome figure of Ness that has some extra functionality. Very well crafted for the price.

Although i never play the game before but i couldn't pass up on this amiibo to add it to my collection. He is a great cute small looking guy to add next to my other amiibos

The Ness Amiibo is well made with a great paint job. It works perfectly with my WiiU and 3DS.

Overall Ness is very well done. His design is simple enough to where it’s easier to see. That he got a lot of love and care put into his Amiibo. If there’s any Earthbound/Mother fans looking for a new collectible to add. And if you just love Ness as a Smash character. This is definitely a great choice.

I don’t usually buy Amiibos for their in game functions, but just because they are great little statues of characters from games that have endeared themselves to me over the years. Earthbound is one such game, and I love this cute, little, high quality representation of Ness (or any of the ridiculous names I’ve given him in my multiple play-throughs over the years.) Welcome home buddy!

Great quality, great design for a figure; what's more to want with a purchase like this?

Searched three stores for this amiibo and it was noted at rare by my son. A Christmas must-have with special power-ups for an Amiibo that just looks like a kid.

Loved Earthbound when growing up. Was sad when this amiibo was orignally released and couldn't find it anywhere at retail value. Didn't know until they released it again. Picked it up and couldn't be more happier. Definitely recommend even if you are an Earthbound fan, even if you aren't a collector of amiibo (I only get the ones I want).
