I've really liked these smaller physical collectibles Nintendo has released recently. Previously, they gave us a pin set when ordering Mario Maker through Best Buy. This year, we received the Cappy coin for Odyssey and it's a wonderful add. I have the coin for Zelda as well and they are both really solid pieces to add to your collection. It was also great that Best Buy proactively ensured that the coin was added to my preorder!

I bought my copy of Super Mario Odyssey so I could get my hands on this coin. BB was the only place that offered it and I was happy to see that the quality is top notch. It was a nice perk to get this with such a killer game. At the time of this review, my local Best Buy has a bunch of these on their sales floor and they have a price tag of $59.99. Bring this coin up with the Super Mario Odyssey game and the coin becomes free!

The coin came free with my preorder of Mario oddyssey. The coin is nice and hefty. There's a good amount of weight to it which makes it feel great to hold. The coin is inside a plastic container in a bag. The coin moves around in the plastic container which is a little bit annoying. The external bag is a bit cheap. Seemed like a missed opportunity to not have a coin case/box for displaying. Nonetheless, a nice little bonus!

My 10yr old son loved this little collectible. I'd estimate it's between a silver dollar and 50 cent piece in diameter, but it's significantly thicker and feels really solid, dropping from chest height onto your bare foot would probably hurt! Engravings have great depth and definition -- overall good quality coin that you'd might find in theme park gift shops for $5 or more... but this was included free with the game.

Summary says it all. It's a collectible coin and nothing more. It admittedly looks neat and I appreciate that they had the forethought to enclose it in a hard plastic case. I like it and bought this game at Best Buy specifically because it came with actual swag (and the 20% off with the Gamer's Club discount) but please don't be stupid and think that this is anything more than a cool collectible.

It's a coin. It's worth a million dollars in Mario world. Only issue is that I haven't been able to get to Mario world. If anyone can think of way to get us in there so we could exchange the coin that would be great. I've been told that the people inside the game received in a million dollars that could only be used in our world. So for them, it's useless. What a problem we both have.

It's better than nothing, but I don't even remember where I placed my mine now at the time of this writing?? Oh well, I'll just go to back to Cap Kingdom and fetch me another coin. Please note the coin was only to be available as a pre-order incentive for the game. So I cannot recommend this to anyone and please do not pay scapler price if this is on sale at other websites. Thank you

This cool collectible coin was included with my pre order of super Mario Odyssey! I pre ordered months in advance and Best Buy was nice enough to include this after the fact when it became known that this would be included with all pre orders. I love it and it’s a great addition to my collection

Getting a free collector coin made pre-ordering Super Mario Odyssey from Best Buy a no-brainer. It is a very nice coin with a fair amount of weight. I went to my local Best buy and they still have some leftover. So even though it was only available through pre-order, you might still be able to get one if you buy the game in-store. But that statement is just theoretical.

I did not expect anything else to come with my Super Mario Odyssey pre-order and I appreciate the extra collectible item. It goes well with my Zelda coin when I pre-ordered its special edition too. Getting something for free is usually a good thing anyway. If you already plan on getting the game day 1, I recommend pre-ordering just for little bonuses like this!

When I pre-ordered my Mario game, this coin was not included in the pre-order. Bestbuy nicely added it later. The coin itself is made in metal. so when I hold it in my hand, it was pretty heavy (in a good way). The design is cute. In summary I think this is a very decent pre-order bonus compared to those lame costume/ weapon DLC sent by some other games.

Got the coin with the game, worth preordering the game for the coin, especially since I was going to get the game anyway. The coins obverse is really nice and has the logo of the game, the reverse is kind of lame though, just being a globe. Is the same size as most other challenge coins and collectible coins, a bit bigger than an old Eisenhower dollar.

I love collecting coins and this one is great. It's a solid piece with great coloring and excellent detail and is also double-sided. It goes very well with the Breath of the Wild coins that came in the special editions. Highly recommended as a collectible to go along with Mario Odyssey. As a bonus, it also goes along with the coin theme in the game.

Best Buy did a terrific job with the midnight launch for Super Mario Odyssey. I went to the Gateway Center Mall location and it was that store's first time hosting a midnight launch. This collector coin was a great way to surprise who was looking forward to Super Mario Odyssey. I like that it had a bit of weight to it, and wasn't simply a thin round piece of aluminum that I've seen in other collector coins. The detail on the game logo is nice, but I would have preferred a bit more elaborate of a scene on the coin.

If you are the lucky few that got the Coin with the game be lucky as this will be a collectors item the moment you buy the game and receive this little extra. It won't rival the Fort Knox but by itself is now a collectors item to be had if you get one. But for me being a Mario fan it's something well worth getting to say I got one.

I received this with my order of the Switch console Mario Odyssey version. I thought the coin would only be for preorders, so I was hesitant to believe I'd get it. When I got the store they told me I received the last one (yay!). I would definitely not pay full price for this item, but as a freebie I think it is worth $3-5 value.

This is a great collector item that is very detailed. The coin as good weight and is awesome for anyone who is interested in video game, Nintendo, or Mario collectibles. I'm not a collector so I would not have purchased this item but I received it free with Super Mario Odyssey. For a collector it would be totally worth the price.

I had pre-ordered Super Mario Odyssey, but Best Buy noticed I didn't have this coin as part of my order and was nice enough to add it for me without me even realizing! It's a great addition to many of the previous bonus coins from Nintendo, including Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS, Super Mario Galaxy, and more.

The coin looks cool. It comes in a plastic round capsule. I can't tell you the texture of the coin, because I haven't taken it out of the capsule. I wouldn't recommend this for a particular age group. I guess it depends on how big of a Mario fan you are and how mature you are in keeping up with your things. I like it.
