Purchased this as a second remote for my WiiU. Sturdy feel and comfortable design. Comes with the rubberized protective case that was an add-on on the original Wii.

Daughter loves playing with this controller. Playing Mario is quite hard with this remote. Not really ergonomic. It also has a too large of a button delay. Mario keeps falling off of the cliff because of the delay

I bought this remote to go with the new Wii u works great.

We had a Wii for several years and recently purchased the WiiU. When we were adding the new controllers to this system (note: they need to be the "plus" models), there was no question that we'd go with the "official" Nintendo brand. After purchasing several of the knock-off controllers over the years and seeing each one fail, while the original Nintendo controllers that came with the Wii system outlasted them all. Other complaints regarding the knock-offs include: painful buttons due to sharp corners on buttons, poor battery life and, finally, having my children arguing over the "good controllers" as the knock-offs were staring to fail.

The remote is good, cute design. Does what it needs to do.
