I purchased the WiiU for my niece and nephew for Christmas. It was a huge hit with parents and kids alike. Dad had already uploaded some upgrades and the kids had their favorite characters. Easy to install. The batteries seem to run out quickly but then again, it gets a lot of use.

We bought the WiiU for the kids for Christmas, and it came with Mario Kart 8. The kids already had an Xbox One, but they wanted Mario Kart (it can only be played on the WiiU/Wii systems). Also my wife wanted Mario Kart as well since she didn't like any games on the Xbox One. I have to say it is almost worth buying the WiiU just for Mario Kart 8. It lets you play 4 players at once (single player online games seem to be taking over the video game world, so multiplayer play with people in the same room is fading away). The family has a great time playing together, and is fun for kids of all ages and adults too! We haven't played many other games, but the kids also like Super Mario Bros (reminiscent of the original Mario Bros for those of you who have played it - and you can play 5 players at a time with that game). Just be aware that you will need to buy extra controllers for each player if you all want to play at once, and they run about $40 each. Have fun!

The Wii U so far has provided hours of entertainment. The gamepad is easy to use, responsive, and fun! Having options for controllers other than the Wiimote is a huge bonus. The games have been fun and engaging. It's definitely a winner!

Very straight forward bundle. Comes with Wii U, and everything you need HDMI cable, PSU, ETC. The biggest feature that makes the Wii U stand out is the controller. It has a touch screen built into the controller itself which can be used for many things i.e it can mirror the television or be used to see inventory. The bundle also includes Mario Kart, which is a fun game as well.

I have always been a fan of Nintendo, their consoles/handhelds and their games, and the Wii U is no different. I really enjoy playing my Wii U with my friends and I enjoy all the games I've gotten. I've had PlayStation consoles I've had Xbox consoles and honestly I just prefer the togetherness that Nintendo brings. This is my second time buying a Wii U, the first time when they first came out, so there are some slight changes to installed software as well as the miiverse but nothing that would make me want to not use the Wii U. If you are debating on getting one just do it!! There's so many fun games for everyone on it.

My daughter is four years old and she loves to play Mario 3D World with her mom and dad :-). We upgraded from the original Wii to the WiiU and we love it. No complaints. Easy to use. Love the gamepad. Highly recommend.

I wanted to get my husband a new gaming console for his birthday and reviewed the Wii U, Xbox, and PlayStation for months. What it came down to for me: -We have three kids (1,2,5) and I wanted something that offered games they could watch and for our oldest to participate in. -We already had a Wii with 4 controllers and it is very easy to transfer online content and games to the Wii U. You can use all of your old Wii controllers or plug them in to a new controller (like for Super Smash Brothers). -My husband loves the classic Nintiendo characters and has played them for years. He also plays other consoles with friends but never mentioned wanting them. -The interactive game pad is awesome. The battery life could be better but we also don't play for long stretches of time. However, one thing the reviews I read failed to mention was that the game pad is still useable on low charge if you unplug the cord from the docking station and plug it directly in to the game pad. The cord is plenty long to sit a comfortable distance from the TV. - The storage space was low but we purchased a 32Gb card (for about $14) to expand it. -It's small and blends in nicely with our TV and can be easily mounted to the wall if I need more space. It can lay flat or sit upright with the provided stand. Basically, if you are a product of the 80's with kids and a love for nostalgic game characters, then this is the console for you! Plus the Amiibos are fun.

The product is excellent. My grandson loves it. The device is easy to operate, small enough to carry with you safely and conveniently, has operational capability for many games, and uses parts from previous W1 models.

Not too much more to say than it's a WiiU. Easy to set up, Easy to play, great for kids games, not great if you are a hard core gamer. The controller being a quasi-hand held game is kinda cool but not overly required.

Love this system! And it comes with a great game already downloaded onto the system that's great fun to play. The wii u controller even acts like a TV controller so when I'm ready to play it's all I need to pick up.

Greet for kids love the Mario games and so easy to hook up and get started a lot of the Xbox r geared towards older children but this is perfect for my 7 year old who also plays with his older brother

My 15 year old got this Wii U for Christmas from Santa. With a teenager I sometimes struggle for common ground and spending the Christmas break playing Wii U with her and her brother was a God sent. We enjoyed playing Mario Kart on original Wii so the Mario Kart 8 bundle was a great option for us. I love Nintendo's game variety. They put Microsoft and Sony to shame when it comes to variety and whole family friendly games. We love the option of playing on just the game pad. My son can play his Xbox One on the TV and my daughter can still play her Wii U games or watch Netflix on the game pad at the same time. High Five for less fighting and bloodshed at my house!!!

We had the original Wii and greatly enjoyed it, so when the Wii U came out, decided to get it. And have loved it. My granddaughter loves Mario Kart & is very proficient at it.

I have every Mario Kart console game to date and this is really great. I love the choice in characters and I like how this system came with the two different download packs (for free). One had Animal Crossing chacters, etc. and the other had Legend of Zelda, etc. The Wii U itself is pretty sweet. I bought a couple other games already and the game pad is pretty cool. I still have to try playing the game on the gamepad while others watch tv. Anyway, I recommend this to Nintendo lovers and multiplayer game lovers. I already lent it to my sister and her husband and now they want one, too!

"Santa" brought the Wii U for my twin boys this year, and not only have they loved every second of playing it, so have I. Easy to use, and lots of family fun.

Bought this as a gift - My nephew really likes the system. Being a small child of 6 there are plenty of child friendly, non violent games to choose from.

This system is amazing. Easy to use and the games are entertaining for our kids. Mario Kart 8 is a great game to have!! Lots of family fun is in store!!

I just added the Wii U to my console collection and it has not disappointed. The games are classic Nintendo. Went and bought some classics from the NES and SNES days and love playing those. Overall if you are expecting this to be anything other than a Nintendo then you will be disappointed. Can't compare to PS4 or XBOX because it's just completely different. If you're on the fence....go for it. It's worth the $$$

I bought this for my daughters who are huge Mario cart and Zelda fans. The graphics for Mario cart are amazing and they have a blast driving around the courses especially driving upside down. The equipment was easy to set up and the instruction manual easy to follow. The hardest part was syncing the Wii controllers to the WiiU. Took about 5 min. The most time consuming part was it took about an hour to down load the updated software. Once downloaded they were off and racing!

We are a family of gamers. Playstation & PC platforms are our preference. I haven't had a Nintendo platform since the cube (Which was awesome) and not impressed with the original Wii. My younger kids really wanted it, and I gave it a shot reminiscing over the original Nintendo (back in that day..). I am VERY impressed over the Wii U. Kids love it! Very fun to play. Awesome system.
