I don't know what all of the hype was about. I wanted to see this movie from the time I saw the first preview. I am normally a huge fan of 'odd' movies but I am still waiting for this movie to end. Talk about a let down. I understand the point of the ending and the overall storyline but this is taking subtle a bit too far. Im disappointed that Tommy Lee Jones signed on for such a mellowdramatic role with no vindication what so ever.

After hearing that this movie won 4 oscars I thought it would be, well, good. I hated this movie. The plot is so loosely explained that the whole time you watch you have to question what even happens at times. There is never a real clear explanation to how and why a psychopathic muderer who has supposedly killed thousands of people gets away clean EVERY SINGLE TIME. There are so many things that when you think about it are just dumb. Why would a man return to a murder sight at dusk especially after he has taken a suitcase with 2 million dollars in it from the scene? Tommy Lee Jones's charactar Sheriff Bell is so stupid. The whole movie he wanders around making a bunch of philisophical views about good and evil rather than do his job. As for the mood of the movie it sucks. Most movies play music during a movie to set the mood. This movie has almost no music and the feel of the movie is just plain disturbing. It seems as though the person or people who thought of this story are almost as disturbed as Chigurh. The end of the movie has to be the worst ending to a movie that I have ever seen. The lead charactar gets killed OFF SCENE. Sheriff Bell goes into a hotel with his gun drawn and you think that this is the final showdown. But no, nothing happens. Then the psycho is driving a car and gets t-boned in a 45 or 50 mph impact and survives while two boys checking on him inform him an ambulance is on the way. You hear the sirens for like 5 minutes and no ambulance is shown. Then he limps away down a residential neighborhood and you are supposed to believe that no one sees him. And HMMM limping away from a car crash after to avoid being caught by the cops sounds like the end of THE BOURNE SUPREMACY. Then at the very end of the movie Sheriff Bell blabbers about some dream for like 5 minutes and then the credits role. Of all the movies I've ever seen this is by far the worst movie that I forced myself to watch. Would not want anyone I know to disown me for recommending it to them.

Seriously disappointing movie. The first half of the film can be watched without to much pain but beyond that it becomes a chore. There was some nice camera work and the "mood" was right but most of the characters were empty and dull. I really wanted to like this movie during the first half which seemed to be going along good but then it fizzles out and your waiting for it to end and when it does, you want your 2 hours back.

I seriously hope this is not what people think is a good movie. The plot is confusing. Some camera shots look very cheesy as if they were shot by a group of 4th graders making a class video. This is a movie in which the editors should have done a better job in omitting certain scenes. For example a scene where a man cleans his gun wound goes on for 3 or 4 minutes. This movie is honestly very disturbing. A guy killing people with an air tank. There are also some things that are definitely important but only the aftermath is shown and it leaves you guessing what happened. And the ending of this movie has to be the worst ending to a movie that I've ever seen. I think the idea was good but this has to be the most overated movie ever. I can't believe it won 4 Oscars and I would not recommend it to anyone that I know.

This is a good movie until about the last 5 minutes. I was letdown by the ending of this movie. OVerall the story and the acting were good.

One hour and a half into this movie and I was thinking wow this is a lot better than I expected. Boy was I wrong. The ending was horrible. I guess you could say there wasn't even a ending. If you watch this movie you will truly enjoy it until the end and then you will be very disappointed. I would have a better time sleeping for two hours then watching this movie..

Don't waste you time and money on this DVD, save it and buy one that is much better then this one IMHO!

If gratuitous violence is your thing then great movie, if you're expecting a clever well acted story line from the brothers Cohen such as Fargo, this ain't it. Poor ending to suck you into part 2. So predictable I thought I had read the book.

The ending is a little strange and the movie can be slow. It keeps you waiting for something that never seems to happen.

this movie was sooo boring , the plot was terrible and the acting was bad , not a good movie to watch !!!!
