Indie game deserving of an indie price. If you can get it for $20 than get it.

Don't buy the collectors edition it's a waste of money as a lot of the added benefits you get early in the game. The game had potential but didnt live up to the potential and you reach the end of quests (learning language)/maxing levels quickly. It also gets monotonous quickly.

This game is pretty much a minecraft rip off with space ships. Mine things, craft, move to the next planet, and repeat. The game is huge but when every planet is the same just with a different type of hostile weather environment it feels like a huge let down.

You don't need me to tell how big of a disappointment this game was. A colossal failure on all fronts, and one that will live in infamy. If nothing else I hope no one ever hypes an indie game into pre order form again, god help us all if they do.

Played the game for a few hours, think I saw everything I"m going to see. Collectors edition pretty but underwhelming. Would have been nice if it came with a soundtrack.

Reviews prior to release looked good. This will be the last time I preorder a game. Disappointment is the best way to describe No Man's Sky.

Developer lied about a lot of missing features in the game. Very glitchy. Always crashes. Not enough content for let alone a 30$ game

    The Truth

The ugly truth that no one wants to hear. The game was recently beat in roughly 30 hours where a Reddit player (Daymeeuhn) had reached the center of the universe. In his review of the game it broke down to this. The game is extremely repetitive and gets extremely boring after a while. You find life on every planet (not the 10% chance) as well as visiting a similar planet layout (frequently) with the difference being varying color schemes... Your ship is purely cosmetic.. The game is also very buggy and a ton of user on the forums are praying for a day one patch... None the less I do not see this game being a long term play...

Regardless of gameplay, which we still don't know, this game is an awesome step for the gaming industry. Along with it's beautiful stunning visuals and concept art, the special edition game seems to be worth.

    Life on planets

I have never looked forward to a game as I am with No Man's Sky. From the videos, screen images, and interviews with the creators, I think this game will far exceed my expectations of what a great open world game should be. It might exceed everyone's expectations. We shall see but not soon enough. One thing I would like to point out is the description of this game. The description leads one to believe that every solar system has planets that contain life. From an interview a few months back with the creator, he said something like only 10% of all planets have life. Of that 10% only 10% will have lush forests and huge dinosaur like creatures. Contradiction to be sure. Any input out there?

This game feels like a Beta, How they got away with charging $80 for this game is beyond me. Everything about this game feels half baked, a over glorified $60 tech demo. The HUD is ugly as sin, the game play feels like little Johnny's school computer class project. Space is a Joke and ever single planet feels the same aside from they way it looks, this game should have/could have been legendary....but the lies are to great, if you are smart you will wait to buy this on sale for $14.99. anything higher and you are ripping yourself off.
