If you played this game upon release two years ago, it has gotten much better. The developers have never stopped working to make this game what everyone envisioned. It can get a little repetitive but it’s amazing that the universe keeps getting bigger. There is almost an infinite number of worlds to discover. What other game allows you to do that? Visuals are excellent on an Xbox One X. My only complaint is that there is little guidance and most things you will have to figure out as you go. Maybe this is meant to be part of the experience. I’m still trying to gather the right resources to repair my ship to get off the initial planet. Their are plenty of articles you can Google that will guide to along if needed. It is a good relaxing game to play with the entire family. I’m interested to see where the game goes next. All past and future upgrades and expansions are free. This game was designed by a small dedicated team and you can tell they put their heart in it.

I don't know anything about No Man's Sky's launch two years ago, but it seems to be a complete game for the Xbox launch. I haven't encounter any bugs or crashes. There are plenty things to do and see. I've been working on the story and it's been fun. If you enjoy exploring, crafting, resource hunting, surviving and some combat, I highly recommend giving this game a try.

Great game with hours of exploring, got even better as updates came out for the game. It is a exploration and crafting game so it may be challenging for younger kids. The story is deep and emotional at times.

Since this game came out two years ago, it has been memed, analyzed and criticized by almost everyone. Its hard to meet someone who doesn't have an opinion on no mans sky. I, however, will keep it brief. The game has gotten a number of substantial updates in the last year that have helped fulfill the potential of its promises. The best part? They were all free. I have only spent about 20 hours in this world, but i cant put it down. If the next 50 hours are anything like this, it was well worth the money. The amount of things to explore, catalog, craft and see is truly remarkable. If you have been on the fence, its time to jump off and take the leap into no mans sky.

Personally, I really liked this game. It is very confusing at the very beginning because there are little instructions, but once you get the basics down the tutorial becomes very helpful. Initially, I was using the wiki so much because there is just so much content. Overall, very fun game to play. Would recommend if you enjoy open world sandbox games and science fiction-y stuff. I got the xbox version, but I will soon be buying the computer version once I get a better computer because I feel it is just better on computer, you can play with more friends. Also, a good game to play with friends.

I was intrigued by this game when it first game out for PS4. Now that it came out for X1 I was in given the constant updates the studio has made, and all for free. This game is great especially with friends and is so deep and so much going on. Its not fast past, but man does it suck you in. If you're looking for an action shooter with stuff going on all the time, pass this one up. But if you want to explore, have epic space battles, create fleets of ships and upgrades, this one might be for you

More simulation, if you can call this game that. I got this game for my grandson, while I have the PC version. Same game, though. I waited until there was improvement in the game before plunging into it. What I found was a very fun game that is basically a single player game but with the ability to engage with friends. What makes this game fun is the ability to do what your want, such as exploring planets, zipping off to nearby solar systems, landing on every planet, mine, dispatch local creatures, check out for loot type boxes, visit abandoned structures, check out caves for valuable elements. You can also create numerous elements, fix your ship, make fuel, plant a variety of vegetation, etc. Hello Games is always improving the game, such as the environment, variety of creatures (friendly and not so friendly), colors, improvement in game play. So, it is not stagnant. While it is not a shooter, there are times when you will fight off pirates. There is far too much going on to describe in a review, so I recommend checking out the videos on You Tube to see how to play and watch people just exploring. This is a great game for the younger set and older gamers who tire of twitch shooter games. Think as though this is Minecraft in space.

I bought this game on another platform a while back and stopped playing because of a lack of functionality. Fast forward to my purchase of an Xbox one x. The updates that they have added to this game make the possibilities number almost as many as the planets you can visit in this game.

No man sky was very disappointing on PC launch with that said the game is currently very much changed and is quite enjoyable. You can finally play with other people and have character models to choose from. Much of the base game play has remained but objects in the world now have purposes and allow interaction. The lore is still not that great but you can play online with other people and have dog fights. If your really hardcore there is a survival mode you can check out where permadeath is enabled and you lose it all upon dying in game. Catch it on sale if your skeptical but it will be worth a play if you are into resource gathering adventure games.

This version for the Xbox is the definitive version. Especially in 4K HDR. I previously played this title on my PS4 and it was underwhelming. This is the version with all the multiplayer features and a more explained story line.

The recent reboot of No Mans Sky is unbelievable. If you are frustrated with other survival titles on the Xbox like ARK and Conan Exiles that still have bugs, crammed servers, and seem to drop connections in the heat of battle then No Mans Sky will feel like pure bliss. This is now an entirely new and better game, with multiplayer and base building, and cargo ships, and more and more - endless adventure into worlds where you are the first player there. If you like PVP or just want to meet other players, there are easy portals you can build in your base, or stay hidden, choice is yours. Still in awe over the NEXT update, wow.

    No Man's Sky & Chill...

This game falls squarely into the often overlooked category of meditative gaming, you can fire it up and play for a few minutes or a few hours and you don't have to think about anything other than the game. No critical missions, no boss battles, just you and the vastness of space if that it what you want or mining for resources. Combat is not the main focus but it is there should you desire it. No Man's Sky is like a combination of games that include - minecraft, sim city, the sims with a dash of portal and it is all set in space...oh, and old school asteroids because you can legiterally just hang out in space and fire away at asteroids all day if you want to. All in all it is a nice break and is enjoyable.

I bought No Man's Sky despite the negative press it received at launch. SInce launch, Hello Games has patched and added additional content. I've enjoyed my first few planets I've explored. The game relies heavily on exploration and excavation to acquire resources for crafting. I've only touched on combat which seems somewhat basic but is a nice touch to the game. It's doesn't seem super complex. Overall, my impression is that No Man's Sky is a great time killer for someone without a lot of time as you can really get to the meat and potatoes of the game without needed to complete quest X, Y, and Z. I would recommend this game if it is on sale as it's visual appeasing and a great way to killer a half an hour to an hour a day.

This game is really relaxing and it's fun to explore and search for new planets. Don't know how much of the systems I'll ever interact with, but it's great every once in a while to roam around and explore.

If you like open world exploration games, you'll probably like No Man's Sky. They fixed the problems it had at launch and now it's an amazing game. I played Elite Dangerous almost from Beta and when I tried this game, that was is for ED. Haven't logged in to it since.

Perhaps the best game ever made when it comes to endless play and adventures. Not an fast action game but one that slows you down to enjoy the trillions of planets to discover and explore. If lucky you may just come across another star traveler.

Time is the Biggest Reason You'll Grind

Beautiful game. I like the concept of having to catalogue and 'discover' planets. It appeals to the classifier in me. However, as realistic as it tries to be in creating distances, walking for 15 minutes straight (real time) to get to your spaceship is kinda crazy... and boring... seems like a total grind... you need vehicles early on in this game or it becomes a strong reason to walk away and play something else. Plus, there really isn't much to do.
