great value. transitioned to this phone from the nokia 6.1. The 6.1 took better pictures and snapped them faster. hardware feels like a mild downgrade while the software feels like a step up to something new from something aging. Battery life is great, display is fine. Really not bothered by the chin at all. If anything they could have balanced it by not having a notch for the camera.

But then, who expects a $200 phone to be perfect? As a long-time Moto G-series user, I was looking for a replacement in the same price range that would offer some extra functionality like NFC or wireless charging. I'd used Nokia phones in the distant past, I liked their commitment to a clean Android experience and generous update policy, and I was ready to try something different. I saw the reviews about the subpar camera and display, but figured I could live with those.
Positives: The performance is great compared to my 3-year-old Moto G 5+, which is totally expected (and most welcome). The navigation gestures in Android 10 are taking some getting used to, but so far I've resisted the urge to turn three-button navigation back on. At first I was concerned about the size of the phone compared to my previous phone, and it doesn't fit in my pocket as well, I really like the big, bezel-free display and the tiny notch. Though NFC was a feature I sorely missed when I first switched to Moto G years ago, I have yet to actually use it on this phone, so I can't report yet on how smoothly it works on this phone. But the phone is all the upgrade I expected it to be.
As for critiques, so far I've been happy with the camera, but I don't take a lot of pictures so I can't say I've really tested it. The lower display quality was definitely noticeable, but after a couple weeks I've gotten used to it and it doesn't bother me anymore.
Finally, for the benefit of other users of older Motos, there are two things I find particularly irksome. Note that these are more about me and my relationship with my previous phone than actual problems with this particular phone:
First, I regret choosing a phone with a back-mounted fingerprint scanner. Not only is it awkward for me to find that little pad with my finger, I use my phone a lot while it is lying on the table in front of me, and I can no longer unlock my phone in that position without either entering my PIN or picking the phone up to access the back-mounted FPS; I miss the front-mounted scanner on my Moto G 5+.
And second, I miss the Moto app with its gesture features. Two in particular I used all the time (shake-for-flashlight and face-down-for-do-not-disturb), and without them I have to fumble around to figure out how to turn these things on "the regular way". It's a small thing, but one that trips me up at least once a day, so it's pretty annoying. If I could find an app to enable those gestures on this phone, I'd be much happier with my purchase.
Bottom line: I think this is a fine product and a great value, and I especially like that its Android update policy should keep it fresh longer. But I've learned about usability features that are important to me that I'll factor into future purchases.

For the price you pay, this phone is not bad at all. Dual-SIMs, Android One, great battery life, rear finger-print reader, and expandable storage via micro SD make it decent. It won’t perform as well as a top of the line Samsung or modern iPhone, but for the ~$200 range, you can’t go wrong.

This is honestly a good phone, especially for the price. Only downfall is the camera is horribleeee. That's why I'm giving it a 4 star. I was really unsure what to buy because my budget wasn't that big but this phone works really well.. battery lasts me a whole day, watching my show on here is nice, and I write my reports and do class assignments on the phone as well. So far I really like this phone.

Let's start this off by saying that this phone's cheap being cheap they have to cut some corners to get the price down.
At first it was very happy with the phone the screen is crisp and clear I love that aspect ratio the phone is very tall it gets very bright cool little features like the power button lighting up for notifications. And that's about all there is about the good.
I just like this phone but not enoughphone but not enough to return it and pay the $45 restocking fee
But hopefully this review will stop you from buying it.
Let's begin with the worst thing about this phone is the antennas.
I've had many phones and play with many phones and all of my phones had no problem connecting to my Wi-Fi.
This phone in particular refuses to connect to my 2.5 GHz band Wi-Fi it just does not it connects and it says it's unable to connect to the internet. So I end up having to use only my five gigahertz band the thing about the 5 GHz band is that it's way shorter so my Wi-Fi doesn't go as far and to make things worse sometimes the Wi-Fi doesn't even work it says it's connected but nothing loads and nothing happens and that out of nowhere you'll just disconnect from the Wi-Fi and reconnect it again it's very frustrating.
Coming back to antennas again the tower antenna is also crap I lose signal going inside my house and I'm on the same exact company as I was with other phones phone other than the Motorola's gave me this problem and it's because they use a super cheap antenna. I can go from having a solid three bars of 4G LTE to x nothing nada. And also if I'm indoors I cannot receive calls I guess some people can say that it's my carrier but as I stated I have other phones in the same exact household on the same exact carrier that do not give me problems.
It's a great annoyance especially when you have important calls coming in or trying to make calls to go out I wouldn't use this phone as a work phone.
Also the speaker is crap but then again what do I expect cheap phone crap speaker it's very monotone if you put the volume way too high on some certain songs it will really really break up and be very staticky and I swear it over annunciates the s sounds and things so you can hear s sssssssss
And finally my biggest gripe is the battery the battery goes way too quick and that would be fine but except all over the packaging it claims how it has the best battery 2 day battery and it lasts on average for me about a day.
Overall if they just fixed the antenna issues I would give this phone four stars for the price it does the work but if you have something that causes the phone to not be able to do its core features like making phone calls or going on the internet then it's not a good phone no matter how you look at it.there is a possibility that I might have possibly got a defective unit but if that's the case how do I prove it ? And if I wanted to return this piece of junk I would have to pay a $45 restocking fee not cool. Do yourself a favor and get a different brand realize you get cheap you going to get cheap but there are way better cheap phones on the lineup than this.

What I really like is the 2 sim card slots. I can use both sims (private and business) numbers. Other then that it's a bit light and does not have a finger unlock in the back. Good for inexpensive second back up phone.

I purchased this phone as a gift for my teenage daughter to replace her Blu Vivo Xl. My husband has the Nokia 6.1 so she was familiar with the way this phone operates and liked the features. She's not been using it long, but here's what we've found out this far. The phone operates well and is pretty fast for a budget friendly phone. The camera is a little lack luster and the audio isn't great. She uses bluetooth earbuds most of the time so this isn't a big issue. Our family uses Metro PCS (now Metro by T mobile) and have never had an issue with bringing our own unlocked GSM phone to this carrier until now. It does say it's compatible with them on this listing and it is of you find a good representative that now's what they're doing. We had to take it to three different locations to have them switch out the phones. Apparently the apn has to be changed if using it on Metro. Also good luck finding a descent case for it.

Defintely worth the money. Audio quality or speaker sound is not as great as iphone or samsung phone. some improvement required over this. rest of the phone is great. dual sim is great for usage cant beat this feature. great native andriod apps. battery life is good so far, comes for 2 days. im not a heavy user to watch 10 hours of video, normal user and batter comes for around 2 days. let me know if you have any questions i can check it out and let you know guys

Better than I thought for a low budget phone. Good keyboard for typing, performs well, no lagging and does what is supposed to do. Handles dual sim perfectly. 2 different providers working side by side.
Takes decent video and camera is mediocre which is to be expected for a lower budget phone.
Why 5 stars? Because it is a good phone. I know what I signed up for, I was not expecting a Samsung Galaxy 20 or Iphone 12... it is actually pretty good for the price. No complaints at this point.

Great phone. Coming from iphone and then Samsung this is a upgrade. No bloat ware with Android one is the best part. The processor is now older and may seem slow to some users. Build quality is up there for the price but it is not a flagship phone. Battery is also exceptional two days is achievable.

Occasionally loses all network connectivity. Switches out of both sim card networks and wifi network. Saw this issue both when i had just unlocked the phone as well as when i was already doing something on phone. Works fine with T mobile and at&t. No upgrade to android 11 yet. For the price, it is worth buying since many other phones either are pricey or lock you to a carrier

So far I am really enjoying this phone. It does not come with any junk/duplicate apps like most phones, only straight Google apps.
Camera takes great pictures. Has NFC. At the price point I would totally recommend the Nokia 5.3

Reasonable phone in general, fast, very low battery usage.
On the negative side, experienced 1 lock-up so far, seen cross talk during calls and the call volume fades in/out. The fading of volume is the most annoying issue as it happens during a conversation, forcing a frantic search for the up volume button in order to be able to hear the other side. During such condition, the volume may be at max setting but it is still low.
