The Nokia phone is ok to use, but the screen is very flimsy and easily broken. I barely used the phone and usually put it in the front pocket of my bag. In less than 2 months, I found the screen has a tiny crack and grayed out, which makes it unusable. Very disappointed.

I do not recommend this phone. I bought it for my elderly father to use mainly whatsapp, but the whatsapp calls doesn't ring unless the screen is on. I tried to exchange the phone, same issue. I returned it.

Good phone if you put the time in

I really like this phone as I’ve been trying to get away from smart phones as a younger person for a very long time now. Everything seems to work like it should and it has everything I need in a phone and nothing more. I would recommend this phone to someone trying to make a lifestyle change and reduce their use of their phone as a vice rather than a tool. This phone is perfect for that. This phone is probably not for people who want ease of access, however. I wouldn’t recommend this phone to an older person or someone who doesn’t want to mess with it. There is great value in patience and the ability to learn. If you have that and want this phone, buy it. There is nothing wrong with it.

product shipped was not the same as what was advertised. Ordered a DUAL SIM white phone. Got a Grey and Single Sim phone. Had to go back to Bestbuy to return the next day of receipt. The returns team wanted to charge restocking fee. Had to show them that they sold me a wrong device. Also tried to use my bestbuy account and account was locked, and I never registered for 2FA...so now cannot get in. All in all, will think twice to buy now from Bestbuy

    The price is right

The glossy plastic over the screen and around the navigation buttons is a total fingerprint magnet, impossible to keep it clean. KaiOS is alright, using google assistant to search youtube is seamless. I wish there was some sort of quick settings menu to adjust screen brightness and/or connect to bluetooth devices without losing my place in a youtube podcast, but I can forgive it considering the price. The screen has such bad viewing angles that if I'm watching youtube and I bring it too close to my face to see it better, the distance between my eyes is enough to cause very different brightness on my right eye than on my left so it kinda gives me a headache like the bad glasses-free 3D on the 1st generation Nintendo 3DS. The design is nice it kinda reminds me of my old Lumia 822, clearly Nokia knows how to make a plastic phone look and feel good.

    Be Careful.

I upgraded from the Nokia 225 4g phone to this phone. It is a little taller but that does not bother me. Be careful though, i noticed the menu said H+ next to the status bar and i wondered what that meant so i googled H+ turns out it is not as good as LTE. So i went into settings and noticed lte said on. I clicked on it anyways and then a change happened my status bar no longer said H+ but LTE. I called a friend and the call quality was much better. I forgot how i did this. So my point is if your phone states H+ and not lte in the status bar go into settings and figure how to turn on LTE. Phone call quality is much better. I loud speaker and the call quality are much better thasn my Nokia 225 4g.

    Back to simpler life

Nokia 6300 4G performs well what I need it to do: voice calls & simple texting & clock functions. I like the real buttons instead of annoying unintentional screen swipes & taps. It easily imported my contacts file via Bluetooth from a smart phone. I don't plan to use the 6300 for email, internet or games - prefer large desktop screen for those.

    Just barely tolerable

This was purchased for my husband when 5G was expected to make his flip phone obsolete. It is very difficult to use: the key board is not consistent, sometimes the on/off button will not work. This is a particular problem because reboots are needed from time to time. It gets stuck in Airplane Mode, for example.

For Baby Boomers like my wife & I, this phone is simple. Some people with their Smart Phones seem addicted to them, & these phones are more like an adult pacifier.

    Buyer beware, no gps

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

This phone doesn't allow gps access while 4g is turned on. It's a common issue and the workaround is to turn off 4g, but unfortunately here in the US there's no 3g network left to speak of. Having to choose between gps and all other phone functions is unacceptable. After two weeks of back and forth with support, they were finally able to get gps functioning properly in Maps, but all other apps still don't work. They say that's not their problem despite the fact that everything works after a complete phone reset, but then breaks again immediately when the phone updates to the latest os version. I'm extremely disappointed that this phone can't perform basic functions and will not consider any Nokia product in the future after this experience.
