    Nokia 9 Pureview

The Nokia 9 is fabulous, simply holding it in the hand tells a story. Love it! Switched over from my IPhone X. Compared to other android phones, it runs smooth. Some are having problems with the sensor, the phone probably needs replacement.

    Terrible Phone

Despite this phone's impressive camera hardware, it is rendered practically unusable by the Finger Print scanner it packs. The scanner has a fail rate of close to 80%. I spent 5 days counting -- every day I recorded the number of times the phone rejected my finger prints (both left and right thumb) and I averaged 80% failure. It doesn't matter how hard you press the screen, where you press the screen, or how you press the screen...the finger print is useless. If you look at other negative reviews, you'll see the exact same complaint...this wasn't an isolated incident. And as you can see from Nokia's responses to these negative comments, the only thing they recommend is to call Nokia tech support. Well, I did. Their response was laughable. They told me to factory reset the phone, twice. I did and nothing changed. Then a few days later, Nokia issues a Twitter statement saying people should use the face unlock feature instead. Are you serious? This is an expensive phone. I'm not going to ignore a major design and QA flaw just because there's a less-secure "workaround" ... that's beyond lazy and disrespectful to consumers. It's like saying "Well, we know the main breaks in your 2019 car don't work well, so we just recommend you use the parking break instead." Be serious, Nokia. This is incredibly disappointing. I would absolutely NOT recommend this phone to any friend, unless you want to spend 2-3 minutes in deep frustration every time you take your phone out of your pocket to unlock it.

For those with fingerprint reader issues...

If you're having issues with the fingerprint reader, try disabling Face Unlock for now. It seems to not register the fingerprint accurately while trying to process the face unlock. Go to Settings > Security & Location > Face Unlock, and then turn that method off for now.

    Definitely don't buy Nokia

I used Nokia exclusively from 1998 until last year. Never had another type of phone in my life, and waited eagerly for Nokia to get back on the scene. Unfortunately, it seems HMD Global is run by a bunch of amateurs and it's not the brand I fell in love with all those years ago. My first HMD phone arrived as a lemon. It kept restarting automatically within 30 seconds and the phone was pretty much useless. I contacted Nokia several times within the first month and their barely English speaking reps told me they wouldn't exchange it, and suggested I pass off the damaged goods to another sucker (nice way to get your brand out there, eh?). Not at all the excellent customer service of the old Nokia. I ended up selling it (with full disclosure) for $300 loss. I feel like a fool for my 20 year loyalty. Walking around with old broken Nokia phone all those years waiting for the comeback, just to see this cheap imitation. If you can't buy a phone with a guarantee from the company that it will work for over a month, then you should avoid that company like the plague. NEVER Nokia again, and I recommend the same for you all.

Not worth the price over oneplus 6T

I bought this phone with the hopes that it'll be the king of other camera phones like how my lumia 1020 was, but that's not the case here. The only advantage this phone has at the moment would be the screen brightness. I'm able to clearly see the screen while driving with sunglasses on. Anyway here are the cons: Fingerprint reader is a big problem. OnePlus 6T's finger print reader is 100 times better than the nokia 9. It's been a month with no update in sight to address the finger print experience. Camera tends to oversharpen and darken's photos. There is an update that was suppose to improve the camera, but again it's been a month since it was promised. The UI is not as simple as the oneplus 6t. To clear up all open apps, you'd have to swipe up then scroll all the way to the left and then clear it that way. To bring up all your apps you need to swipe up twice. The one plus 6t does those step in a one step process. There's an recent app button on the bottom, and to get to all your apps is just one swipe up. Also on the Nokia 9, the google search bar is on every home screen and you do not have the option to remove it
