The Nomad POD is an ideal accessory for the Apple Watch owner who is often on the go. The POD is basically a self contained charging station for your Apple Watch. I'm no longer stuck carrying multiple separate components to charge my watch: goodbye twisted and tangled magnetic charging cable & A/C power adapter! I also have the freedom to wirelessly charge my watch anywhere I desire; the built in battery eliminates the need for a free USB port or A/C outlet. Pros: compact sleek design, freedom to wirelessly charge anywhere, built in cable management, multiple full charges for my 42mm watch, simple to use, durable. Cons: tight fit for original 2 meter magnetic charging cable (I made it work by carefully winding the cable, see my pic), ideal for open-banded watches but requires fidgeting to accommodate closed-banded styles (be cautious when wrapping band around the POD, you may scratch your desk/nightstand/watch band).

I have been using the Nomad Pod portable charger since I purchased it on the release date from Best Buy. It actually charges the Apple Watch four full charges as long as you charge the pod completely. It fits anywhere conveniently, in my pocket, backpack, the wife's purse. It will fit both two meters and one meter Apple Watch charging cables. I also purchased a Case Mate Apple Watch case and it will still charge the Apple Watch. I'm surprised the Pod was not priced higher than the $69 price tag. One thing to be mindful of is that it will not automatical shut off when the Apple Watch is at 100%, so if you leave it on overnight the Apple Watch will draw all the power until the Pod is fully discharged. If you remove the Apple Watch, the Pod will shut itself off even if you do not press the power button. Bottom line last charger/ stand you will need( until the lithium ion battery cells no longer keep a charge). Oh and for those that will say," what about night stand mode?" Well guess what , you can stand the pod upright.

This is just what I needed to charge my watch on the go. It’s much smaller than I expected which is good. Fits perfect in a backpack or small bag. Well built quality product. The charge lasts well. I’ve charge my watch a few times on my commute to work and it’s usually at 100 perfect by the time I get to work. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a portable charger. I forgot to mention that it fits perfect in my trucks cupholder, almost as if it was made for it :-)

This is a very compact portable way to charge your apple watch. You will need to provide your own cord. Pros: Solid aluminum housing. Minimalist compact design. Charges watch quickly. Enough capacity to charge your watch 3-4 times. Perfect for travel. Cons: Will continue to charge watch and drain charger battery completely if you leave it on charger. Doesn't hold watch in a way to use it in nightstand mode.

Stable way to charge the Apple Watch. Magnet keeps it from falling off night stand. Also great for travel since it will hold charge between plug ins for charging on the go. It took a few times to assemble ... but I like it... and would recommend it.

I am one angry bird right now. After my Smart Keyboard, which I love, this is a REAL letdown. This seals were already. broken when I opened FedEx bubble mailer. Like other low star reviews, I am returning mine. I COULD LIKE A 'NEW" ONE, but am skeptical now. '

When I bought this charging Pod for my  Watch, I wanted something I could use to plug in at work or on the road if I needed to recharge my  Watch. The small size makes it very convenient to take with you on the go, and it holds a change in the Pod so you can recharge your  Watch around 4-5 times before you'd need to plug the Pod in to recharge its battery. The product description didn't indicate if a  Watch Chargeing Cable was included in the unit, and unfortunately, it doesn't come with one so I had to purchase a new Charge Cord. The only complaint I have is when I put metal bands on my  Watch, the  Watch profile won't allow it to sit on the Pod because the Metal Bands are not that flexible.

Works great for 2 charges while on the go. Sucks that it doesn't meet the 4 charges that it says it does. Out of all the portable charges that I was looking at this one was the best. Not too expensive, not too bulky, keeps cables nice and neat and allows for other USB devices to be charged.

This thing is great. It has a reserve battery that you can use to charge the Apple Watch 4 times. I had accidentally purchased a two meter cord with it. You can squeeze that in the shell, but a one meter cord would fit better. I use this all the time on the road. You can toss it in your bag and you have one less thing to plug in while traveling. It would also work if you were out hiking for a few days.

It does what it is supposed to do. I mainly bought this to avoid having to use the plain Apple charging cable on my desk and instead have a better looking table-top charging station. It does a good job at that. I noticed some people have complained about the watch not getting connected well, but that has not been an issue for me. As soon as I place the watch on top of the Nomad it starts charging with no issues. It also charges well using the built-in batteries, but I have not tested to see how well/how much the watch charges that way. I like the metal look and feel of the Nomad as well. The only con so far is the price. Seems over priced for what it does, hence 4 stars.

Anyone using the product will have a difficult time getting the USB end of the cord inserted into the slot inside the unit. It's very difficult, otherwise a great devise.

Good portable charger for the Apple Watch. Giving only 4 stars due to the fact that the charging cable does not come included which makes the product's price exorbitant.

I really enjoy using this product. It's easy to use, and very sleek. However, if you use any case for the Apple Watch, such as the catalyst, you will run into some issues. The only way I can get it to charge with said case is to remove the metal casing, exposing the charge cable. If you do not have a case then there are no issues whatsoever.

Compact size. Reasonably priced. Packaging is misleading. It makes you think you're getting a charging cable in the package.

Very nice but a bit pricy. Sustain charge for good amount time. Very portable.

It is a convenient portable charger. I need to charge this item once a week for my apple watch. It lasts a week as I seldom use my watch to make LTE call alone. Initially, it is not easy to put the cable into the casing. If it is done right, the case will close properly and contact will be good. Thereafter, it works very well.

I got this on deal of the day for about 1/3 of the regular price. For that amount it's very good. Sturdy, small, and simple to put together. The regular MSRP would be too high for what this item is.

I didn't do my reading where is said this does not come with the charging cable. I thought the way the pod was made already had the charging source built in, but it turns out you have to use your charging cable. you plug it in on the inside and wrap the cable around the pod and then put the top on it and voila, it works like a charm! I actually really really like having a portable charger to carry with me on the go for my apple watch. I might get another cord though that is smaller in length to use with the pod and keep the longer one to charge on my dock at home! Great product and would recommend to anyone!

i bought my apple watch .. the charging cord is kinda inconvenient , the pod makes it that much easier .. up to 4 charges if you remember to turn it off after use but even if you don't its super easy to plug in and charge

I do not use this frequently except when I travel every couple of weeks. It holds its charge in-between trips. Difficult to use the longer  Watch cable, but the shorter one works great.
