Gift for my teenage son. He got a big kick out of it and actually uses it several times per month. The buns are sometimes a tight fit and can end up getting torn when you remove them.

It worked just as I thought it would. I hate boiled hot dogs. I do not want to turn on the big BBQ grill and micro waving a hot dog is a big NO for me. I set the dial to 5 and put it in twice and I am very happy with the the results. I get a nice charred hot dog that tasted great. The bun does get a little burned on the edges but that just adds to the grilled effect. It is fast and gives me a great tasting hot dog. I would recommend this hot dog toaster to my hot dog loving friends.

I purchased this toaster on sale. It works best if you put the hotdogs first and cook them to the desired temperature, then place the buns in and toast them. The hotdog slot only works with normal sizes hotdogs, no jumbo franks. The bun toaster slot is a little undersized for even the smallest buns I could buy. This results in the top edges of the buns being burned a little because they are too close to the heating element. The kids love it though

The product is pretty self-explanatory from the name. It's a toaster. For hot dogs. I purchased this while it was on the Deal of the Day and can honestly say I'll get my money's worth. It heats the hot dog thoroughly without causing it to blow up like my microwave did. I found that it burned my hot dog bun right at the edge where it sticks out from the toaster but it turns out I don't personally care if my bun is toasted so that part is not a big deal. I just won't use that portion. It does make a difference if you are using the hot dogs directly out of the refrigerator vs closer to room temperature so be sure to set the heat dial accordingly. I tried it on lower heat setting and it was lightly heated. I set it to the higher setting the next time and it was the perfect temp for my satisfaction. If you are open to having another appliance and eat a lot of hot dogs, this is a great purchase! If, like me, you only eat them in spurts of time (when you are craving one so you buy a pack and then have 4-6 more left in the package so you eat them to avoid throwing them away), then def buy it on the DotD so you can pull it out for a bit, then put away until next time. ~smile~

I bought this for my kids aged 8 and 9 and they love it. Easy to use, good for quick hotdog sandwich fix. I recommend putting in the hotdogs on the first round and then put in the buns on the second round with the hotdogs so buns don’t burn and dogs cook well.

The kids love to operate this. Like everyone has said you do have to flatten the bun for it to fit and toast properly and even then the edges still burn. I also cooked the hotdogs again as they weren't cooked enough for me. I bought it for the kids. They had fun and that's what counts!

I got this for when my niece comes over and she loves hot dogs. It cooks good but we usually cook a litter longer, other than that I think it’s a good toaster, especially for the price.

This makes hot dogs simple and delicious! I like it for smoked sausages and brats, while my son loves to make regular hot dogs. Either way, their hot and toasty- not quite grilled but pretty close. The bun toaster is not quite as great- it works, but only with small buns, and even then it's 50/50 if they'll be in one piece when they're done.

Great choice for hotdog lovers like my sister! I definitely recommend, & cute in color.

Cooks hot dogs well. My daughter loves it. Gave 4/5 stars because buns frequently get suck and tear. It was a deal of the day and I had a $5 coupon so only cost $5. Best purchase ever.

I love this hot dog toaster. It is super quick and easy and makes delicious hot dogs. The only thing I would change is to make it a little easier to clean, but besides that this is an excellent product.

The Nostalgia Hot Dog Toaster is nice idea for making a quick frankfurter meal with minimal effort and cookware usage. That said, it falls short in execution. The cook timer will allow adjusting the duration of the dog burn but, a balance needs to be determined if you’re toasting the buns simultaneously. A recommendation would be to have the dogs approaching room temperature to reduce the necessary cook time. I found the max time setting was required to bring them up to a palatable sizzle from the refrigerator. Additionally, caution needs to be taken to flatten the buns, because a partially opened bun will come in contact with the cooking grids and result in an unrequested char. The retro colors and the “Deal of the day” pricing landed this item in the house, but its mediocre performance will keep it off the counter. Tweaks to follow.

Bought this a few weeks ago and finally put it to use. I love the concept, it’s really cute, and the niece and nephew love it. Only complaint is the buns burn really quick, but it’s not a deal breaker. The hot dogs cook very well with it, not a bad purchase for the deal of the day.

Purchased as a half joke gift but my friend loved it. It’s really cute and does the job, even if it’s a silly job.

I brought it for a sleep over it works great the buns get stuck sometimes the kid’s loves it they love the hotdogs that I make from it

I have enjoyed using this but the openings for the buns are too small for standard size buns, and usually one or both buns tend to stick to the sidewalls and prevents the entire group (2 buns & 2 hot dogs) from popping up (like a toaster does) when heating is complete. requiring a utensil to dig the bun(s) away/lift up/separate from the walls. As a result, I will probably be donating this since I don't use it as often. I used to have one that did one dog at a time with boiled water which also steamed the bun that I would prefer over this even though it is one at a time. This was a deal of the day purchase so at least I am out a bit less than normal.

Love it makes hot dogs quick and easy taste good.Just don’t keep the bread on high setting.The buns can get a little burnt

Works very well at cooking the weiners. The buns are hit and miss, but it can do an ok job on them. Most of my family doesn't like toasted buns, so it works for us. On deal of the day for $9.99, it was a good buy.

This is a great hot dog toaster! I don’t need to boil water with hot dogs. It taste better with toaster.

Saw this on the deal of the day and thought it was funny so for the low price I bought one. It comes in handy for a quick lunch. Great for kids or husband's who don't feel like cooking while the wife is at work.
