This box is a mix of Apple TV and a android gaming box. While the interfaces take a while to get used to. Once setup, it's intutitive. Although it feels funny reaching for the joystick to control the box, at least it is easy to find vs the huge amount of remotes I have.

Major complain is despite been ab Android, it wouldn't allow installation of many apps that work on my Samsung smartphone.

This thing works amazing and runs Kodi like a champ!

Love the Nvidia shield, best box ever, Use it every day from watching tv, youtube videos, and many other sources, also streaming games from nvidia and my computer. Play steam games from pc no problem.

This unit is so fast! I have tried other streaming media players and this is by far the best. The ethernet connection is solid, processing speed is great, and I have had no issues. All my favorite apps are available, and work perfectly. I would recommend this to anyone to likes to stream over the internet.

I bought the Shield when it was being offered for $149 with a free remote. I had been looking for something to replace an aging HTPC and thought why not? I do not do much gaming, so some might say this is overkill, but the native apps plus Live Channels (I use an HDHomerun Prime for cable) is what sold me on it. So far it has performed flawlessly. While it is pricey, I would certainly recommend it as the specs should keep it future-proof for a while.

With all the Smart TVs out there I was having a hard time deciding which features I like best. This device gives me more Smart TV options and also lets me play games. The only issue is it's price. It's kinda expensive but it keeps coming out with updates so it's worth it for me.

I originally was looking for a kodi media player. After carefully reviewing products the Shield gave me more than I expected (5.1/7.1, expectional speed, kodi, 4K, CEC, etc).

If you have a 4K tv then you need this box. Streams 4K YouTube, busy and Netflix. It is also great if you have an nvidia you in your pc. Game stream is awesome.

I don't game on it but the 4k looks great on this. Using kodi and everything is fast, much more than my nexus player

I have purchased three of these now for myself, to put with every TV...and I have purchased 4 of these as gifts for family members. This is the best all around AndroidTV box there is, It comes complete with an amazing Gaming Console, SmartTV hub, Android App Store, Plex TV server, and so much more!... There are many apps now for Shows and movies, the processor on this can handle anything you throw at it, and Nvidia is constantly pushing out updates to this that add huge benefits each time! This is a must have for any Home Theater / Gamer / Tech nut!!

Love the design of this media player. It is very fast and set up was a breeze. The only drawback is the remote, it lacks basic functionality.

I love this android device as well as the sleek remote control and the awesome game controller. I love this item so much I actually purchased three of them . One for myself and 2 for my friends. This is the best device to use for apps because the fast speed of the processor and sleekness of the voice remotes accurateness a breeze. The only bad thing about this product is my local Best Buy stores stocks so very few of these. I had to go back 3 different times to purchase these since the local store only stocked 1 at a time.

I love the nvidia shield. After my husband downloaded my favorite apps for me and the kids to watch our favorite programs, and modified it to play nindento 64!! You can do so much with the shield! I like the controler as well, it has voice command and feels like an xbox controller.

I use to use ps4 for all media. I love using this a lot more at least for media such as netflix and renting movies. Sync it will google and all your purchased movies and media is super easily accessible. Absolutely love it and the remote is worth the money even though mine came with it despite it not being advertised on the box... it was a awesome suprise to get in box for $199 version. Highly recommend this product.

Device met all my expectations - mostly you can watch whatever content you want on this device. Plex, Pluto, etc. all work well. Interface is very fast and convenient to use. Game play is a bonus. 4K content on 4K TV looks amazing.

The good- it is a great Android box for people that like to game and also stream off of Netflix and all that fun stuff. There is an app store (google play store) although it is limited. The remotes are awesome they make it so you don't need a mouse connected to it to use in certain apps. They are very responsive and make it a smooth interface! The bad- this might not apply to everybody but, it is verry difficult to download 3rd party apps. It is do-able. But it is not as easy as on a Android smartphone for shure. In conclusion it is a great Android box and I love everything about it but they should make it a little easier to download third-party apps because it is an Android box they shouldn't try to box you out of that as much as they did.

This is by far the best settop box you can buy. It will play any video file can you can throw at it. It has XBMC (kodi) support.
