I did a ton of research and this was the best tablet for my needs. Fairly cheap, powerful and reliable. The best tablet for gaming.

I have the original Nvidia Shield Tablet which sold for $299.99. This newer $199.99 version is essentially the same tablet with less accessories included and some small cosmetic updates. For $199.99 you get the same quad-core Nvidia Tegra K1 processor with Kepler GeForce GPU, the same front firing speakers, and the same 1080p screen. What you DON'T get is a stylus, a USB charger and a micro-USB charging/data cable. You can buy the stylus separately from Nvidia, but the new model no longer has a stylus silo to store it in. You can also get the charger and USB cable from Nvidia, but you probably already have one for your smartphone and the tablet should work fine with that. At $199.99 this tablet is a steal. Nothing can touch it in gaming performance, and even for general application performance it's still one of the faster tablets out there. If you are not interested in gaming, there are thinner, lighter alternatives, but you'll likely have to spend more to beat this tablet's performance.

Nvidia Shield is the best tablet I've played games on. Perfect size. Great sound. Recommend the Nvidia controller.

Outstanding tablet! Unfortunately the upgrade to Marshmallow in January has caused such a battery drain over the past MONTHS that it needs to be tethered to an outlet. No response from nvidia and so far no fix. If you buy this tablet DO NOT upgrade to Marshmallow and you will enjoy a great tablet!

Used this in nvidia k1 tablet, expanded internal memory to it with the marshmallow feature.. Very good performance.

I thought I would be happy with this tablet but after i put on all the apps and started playing with it . it was real laggy and not responsive

Terrible experience. Apps freeze, slow response. HDMI connection doesn’t display a full picture. Power button is too recessed and is a pain in the butt. Tablet is thick and would be OK if it performed better. I was really looking forward to this device as a replacement for my old Nexus 7, but it is not an improvement. Glad I didn't waste money on the stylus.

Powerful display for DJI phantom 4 , no video transmission lag, no phantom go4 app problems. This model does not come with a stylus,charger or cords so buyer beware. Also, only 2 GB of ram, so use it for what you want and get rid of any non sense apps. Could be brighter, sun shade will be necessary for flights in bright sun. No complaints here as it does exactly what my Samsung Tab A and Galaxy note 4 could not do.

The tablet is awesome. It is very strong, fast, and has very good battery life. The resolution is high and looks great on my TV via mini HDMI. It had a fatal hardware issue about a month or 2 after purchase, but nvidia sent out a replacement a few days after contact. This one works great. Must have the cover as well! Its very solid, protects from falls, and does not come off due to the magnets. Overall highly satisfied.

I use to fly my Phantom 4 and 4 pro... so far so good works great.. that is only thing I use it for.

Bought this for my drone and I have to say it works perfectly!

I am a huge PC gamer so the "gaming gimmick" worked with me even though I knew that I'd never game with this :-) Though the form factor works - it fits in my jacket, has a good build quality, good resolution and more than decent specs. I use it mainly as a Kindle, video watching device and that's about it. I don't know what else to do with a tablet to be honest. My Surface Book covers almost all my needs in that regard.

The tablet has no latency, is crystal clear, easy to use and has a substantial battery life. It is the perfect solution to running my photo gear at an amazing price of $199.99.

Bought this tablet for light browsing and general media consumption, but fell in loved with the gaming features. I use kinoconsole to stream PC games to it, anddd just couldn't be more pleased. Works best on a good router with 5GHz band. Also bought a mount for my Dualshock 4 controller that I could attach my tablet to, and it works vey well.

Great tablet for the money. Fast performance and works well with a Nvidia GPU on my pc.
