I’ve been absolutely blown away by my Oakley Meta glasses — these are not just eyewear, they’re a next-level smart experience. From the moment you put them on, it’s clear Oakley isn’t just revisiting smart glasses — they’ve reimagined what they should do. Whether you’re on a run, biking, hiking, or out with friends, these glasses enhance every moment effortlessly. Hands-Free Magic One of the standout features is how natural the hands-free interaction feels. With built-in Meta AI and voice activation (“Hey Meta”), you can record videos, take photos, check stats, get the weather, answer calls, play music, and ask questions — all without touching your phone. It genuinely feels like your voice is your only remote control. Yanko Design +1 Capture Every Moment The integrated camera delivers Ultra HD (up to 3K) video and crisp 12 MP photos from your point of view, letting you document first-person moments effortlessly — perfect for action shots or scenic captures.

These are cool glasses. I have them in a different color, but wanted the black ones too so stopped by Bestbuy and got them. Battery lasts all day at work, with some music playing all day. Sound is amazing. Just having some issues with phone calls, for some reason the receiving end says my sound breaks all the time. Other than that, it’s a great and with the nice features of Meta.

I bought the gen 1 matte black transition ray bans when they first came out. I love the fit and feel of the Oakleys and extended battery life.

I really enjoyed the Oakley Meta glasses overall. The brown smoke frame with the blue Prizm lenses looked great and the glasses felt high-quality. The camera and audio features were surprisingly fun and I found myself using them a lot outdoors. The only reason I returned them was the limited use case. Since the lenses were non-prescription and heavily tinted, I could really only wear them in bright sunlight. For the price, I wanted something I could use throughout the day. I’ll likely be purchasing them again, but with transition lenses and my prescription. That way I can get the same style and features, but with way more versatility. If you already wear sunglasses daily, they’re great. If you need something you can use in more situations, consider going the prescription/transition route.

The Oakley HSTN are awesome. They look like regular stylish sunglasses but the built-in tech makes them even better. The audio is surprisingly clear, the camera is convenient for quick photos, and they’re very comfortable to wear all day. Great mix of style and smart features.

Very good, style and materials is definitely better compared to ray-ban(gen 1). Cathey can be a bit heavy but nothing you can’t get used to.

Great Smart Glasses, With a Small Comfort Issue

he Meta Smart Glasses are a really fun and practical piece of tech. They look stylish, the audio quality is clear, and the camera is super convenient for quick photos and videos without needing to reach for my phone. Voice commands also work reliably, which makes hands-free use feel natural. In terms of comfort, they’re generally good I can wear them for long stretches. But I do notice slight pain on the top of my ears after extended use because of the weight. It’s not a dealbreaker, but something to be aware of if you plan to wear them all day. Battery life is decent, though it could be better, and the companion app could use a few more customization options.

The Meta smart glasses are honestly impressive and feel like a glimpse into the future of everyday tech. The hands-free photo and video feature is incredibly convenient, especially when you want to capture moments without pulling out your phone, and the built-in audio and voice assistant make listening to music, taking calls, and asking quick questions feel seamless and natural. They’re very stylish, looking more like normal glasses than a piece of tech, which makes them easy to wear daily. That said, they aren’t perfect — the battery life can fall short if you use them heavily, the camera quality doesn’t fully compete with a smartphone (especially in low light), and some AI or voice commands can feel a bit inconstant Overall it’s nothing to be too concerned about with the camera quality still being great, the Meta glasses are amazing for convenience, innovation, and hands-free living, but they still have a few limitations that remind you this is early-generation wearable tech.

I’ve been an Oakley fan for some time. Wasn’t sure about this style but I tried it on in the store and ended up liking the look. I love the fact you can swap the lens out and the built in speakers are great. Unlike earbuds, you can still maintain your awareness while listening to music and such through the glasses. Finally, the AI is very new to me. I’m getting used to it. So far no complaints. Being able to choose from the list of voices they provide is a really cool feature.

The Oakley Meta sunglasses exceeded my expectations. Their sleek design blends futuristic style with everyday comfort, making them perfect for both active and casual wear. The lenses offer crystal-clear vision with outstanding glare reduction, and the lightweight frame feels durable yet barely noticeable. Whether I’m driving, or just out in the sun, the Meta delivers premium performance and undeniable style. Oakley nailed it with this one.
