Tom Cruise is one of my favorite actors and also staring Morgan Freeman created a winning set. The visual effects and sound were great. Oh yeah...not a lot of blood and guts (gore). Which was great. I get tired of all the gore and cuss words in some of the new movies coming out. If you are Sci Fy fan .....this is a must see.

I bought this because it was the lowest price UHD on the shelf. I have a Samsung Bluray player and didn't know if it would play UHD. It doesn't but this set included a digital copy as well as a bluray disk, so no harm no foul. It did what I wanted which was to test the unit and now I know I need a new player for the 55" 4k in the den.

I am not really a big Tom Cruise guy, but I LOVE this movie! Set in the future after an alien invasion Cruise is tasked with guarding giant machines sucking all the water off the earth so they can take it back to Titan, where humanity has relocated. Who he finds out is trying to stop him leads him to a truth he couldn't believe! Excellent movie!!

Oblivion isn't a fast paced sci-fi flick. It is steady, fairly uncomplicated, and enjoyable. The premise is good, and the plot has a downplayed twist. Actor's performances are well done, plus the visuals and effects are outstanding! It was better than I expected, and worth a watch if you need a sci-fi fix.

I think Tom's carrier is just not what it used to be, it's been over 10 yrs when he really had a block buster movie & this movie was about a 2 & not that great, I know it's getting harder to think of something original & this was not & movies really need find a way to make movies believable.

as shown in the previews shown in the trailers we are introduced to a very sleek and clean future where it appears Apple products are the main designers for future household items. the premise is simple enough with tom fixing things but as the tale unfolds we learn more aboht this new world then there appeared to be.

Tom Cruise is back and he has been making awesome movies!! He has always been a great actor, and after a small drought he comes back with a lot of great action movies. This is one. The story is kinda predictable while watching, but it is really interesting still. The movie is done in a great way. It looks clean, and has some good action but mostly suspense.

I almost didn't want to like this movie. It has huge plot holes along the same lines as the original Independence Day, and yet it does a great job creating a believable apocalyptic world, with a nice twist in who we should trust. I really enjoyed it despite myself.

The movie captured your attention and kept you involved throughout. The action scenes were excellent and realistic to the viewer. Enjoyed Morgan Freeman's role and how he interracted with Tom Cruise. This movie is a must see for those that like real live action. Would watch this movie again because of the riveting action and the fact that it keeps you involved thoughout.

"Oblivion" looks amazing and has an effective atmosphere in it, but it could have done well with more of it's own originality. A strong performance from Tom Cruise but a misused Morgan Freeman. I would recommend this to people who enjoy an entertaining sci-fi movie, just don't expect it to blow you away.

Space Odyssey in which Tom Cruise repairs drones until an unexpected accident and a chance encounter with a beautiful stranger (Olga Kurylenko) reveal there's more than meets the eye. What he's been led to believe is all a lie and the truth can only be found amoung those deemed the enemy.

It's a tad better transferred to 4K but not by much. The best thing about the 4K version is the sound track, it's exceptional. If your a 4K player owner I highly recommend it on the sound track alone. There are some nice moment for the video, but the audio is the highlight.

This film has been called very original. I don't know about that. It cobbles together several different themes and ideas from sci fi. However, it does so in a way that is new and refreshing an doesn't feel like its been done to death. It is well paced, and will keep you guessing all the way to the end.

Even if you don’t like Tom Cruise, this is worth watching if you love sci fi. great visuals and very interesting concepts at play. Plot seems to move slowly as it builds the character development. Takes on speed as the plot unfolds and catches you by surprise. Things are never as you expect.

This is a good movie. Just enough drama. The sifi effects are surprisingly good, and just overall a very entertaining movie that any sifi buff should enjoy. The 4K version is very well done. The picture has very rich color, and the sound is alarmingly powerful.

I wasn't sure what to expect though Cruise is better in the older roles he does now, I enjoyed this movie. The features on the disc were interesting and the ending was not that totally predictable. Too bad Morgan Freeman wasn't on longer. There were a few twists but overall I enjoyed this movie.

I've never been a Tom Cruise fan, but Oblivion was a pretty good movie. The effects were great for the most part and the acting wasn't bad either. Not everyone is going to like it, but that's nothing new. The Bluray and DVD themselves worked well and had some decent special features.

I really enjoyed the movie because I am really into technology and beautiful graphics. If you like sci-fi you may want to check this out. But if not then you may want to gather up the patience to really enjoy this. It takes a while for the story to take off. Once it does you're going to enjoy it.

Beautiful to look at, a reasonably good story, and as usual, Tom Cruise delivers. You know...he really doesn't make a bad movie and he's in a stretch of solid grade B-to-A action movies from IM to this to All you need is Kill (Edge of Tomorrow). 4K looks great too.

I think this is a movie you should watch. It's not a TC action packed flick, but he does get his moments in this movie. The movie wasn't really a fast paced movie but it moved right along. I probably won't watch it again, but seeing it in 4K was well worth it
