Besides the game itself (which is a pretty lengthy RPG on its own), the additional stuff provided in the Wayfarer's edition really were nice mementos. The best part, to me, was the pop up book (literally brings each of the eight characters to life) and the extra compartment was actually a good place to store some small stuff that could otherwise get lost easily

This game is for people who loved 90’s JRPGs, specifically those who come from the SNES/Genesis era. It focuses heavily on gameplay, as opposed to JRPGs from the PSX/N64 era which tended to have heavier storylines. Don’t come in expecting a Persona storyline, but the story does go past the cliches if you get past a character’s chapter 2. You don’t have to be into EXP grinding, but the game combat is fun enough if you want to.

Octopath Travler is a solid JRPG which relies on nostalgia and a gorgeous blend of 2D and 3D to create an open fantastical world rife with dungeons, monsters and fun gameplay systems. I really enjoyed the Job system and mixing Jobs to find what worked best for me. It definitely has it’s challenging moments and the final boss fight requires you to pull out all the stops.

Very nostalgic game, looks beautiful and has amazing music. Tasty gameplay for 16 bit fans.

I'm only a few hours into this game but having a blast so far. It brings me back to playing the Final Fantasy games on my SNES. The art style is beautiful and I'm really enjoying the fight system and music as well. The Wayfarer's Edition is beautiful as well and I'm so glad I paid a bit more for it. All in all, I'm really enjoying this game and would highly recommend to any JRPG fans.

The game itself is wonderfully done. It's an intentional throwback to the days of SNES JRPGs. The same folks at SquareEnix that brought you FFIV and FFVI bring you this game and it shows. Music score is also great and the included CD is on autoplay in my car. The other throw in items are also well made woith attention to detail. Highly recommend if you can find it.

Great Switch RPG. Story, music, characters were well done.

If you don't wan't to spend the money on this collector's edition, just get the standard. Whatever you do, get this game for your Switch. You won't regret it. The story is adult oriented as it deals with heavy topics so be aware going into it. Very good stories though. You'll feel something for each and every character.

Fun game with great gameplay balance. The prime example of "easy to learn. Hard to master. " in rpg gaming. Yes. It has pixel graphics and it is very worth full price. You will get a ton of hours from this one. If its back in stock. its a must own for switch owners. Also, it is worth buying a switch for if you don't have the system yet.

My sleepy little town is no comparison for the larger world at hand - so I set out on my journey with my Switch loaded up with Octopath traveler...I happened to bump into seven others with varying goals and they all agreed this game is amazing as well! Must buy!

This game brings back so many nostalgic feelings in my I don't know where to begin. It has just right amount of grind and story for you to get lost in. It all may be cliché, but for someone who grew up playing games like this, I love it. If you're like me, you will love this game. If not, I don't believe it will convert you.

If anyone is yearning to play a JRPG from the era of their 90's childhood, this is the game. The visual style is reminiscent of SNES era of gaming with some modern touches added to it. The combat system is addicting forcing you to think ahead to hit enemy weaknesses and using the break system. Highly recommend this title.

I saw this item and as a JRPG fan that typically misses this type of special edition packaging, I jumped on it right away and pre ordered! The packaging is great, and the items included make me feel like the $80 (with GCU discount) was worth it. The game play is very entertaining and will keep you hooked.

First off, the game is amazing. I am only 10 hours in and finally got all of the characters. But all of the stories are a good start and would recommended this game off right. Second, the box is amazing. It looks nice, the pop-up details is really well done and the other stuff is a good as well.
