Works great! The Battery helped balance out the headset, it fits like a glove to my head.. The construction is sturdy and the case is unique and fits like a glove. The battery that comes with this strap is integrated with the Quest, so you can see the percentage of both the headset and the add-on battery inside the Quest environment.
The price may seem steep, but if you factor in each component- case, headset, battery - It is about on par. I would recommend to anyone.

Decent head strap moderately comfortable. Took a long to learn how to put it on and have it be comfortable. Battery adds extra 1.5-2 hours game time. Over priced Buy a 3rd party head strap instead

This is a very good add-on. The carry case is necessary should you ever want to take your Quest on vacation or to a friends house. The Elite strap is much more comfortable than the standard strap and the integrated battery provides a lot of extra run time. All in all well worth the expense. Note: When installing the strap, look for help videos on the internet. Its a much easier task if you use that instead of the sparse written instructions.

The Elite Strap with Battery adds a nice counterweight to the front heaviness of the Quest 2 compared to the default strap. It has the added bonus of nearly doubling the play time of the Quest 2, meaning less downtime charging the system and more time using the device itself. The carrying case is serviceable, and saves you $30 buying in this bundle versus individually.

Very good, but the strap might break, need tape.

I love how this extends the battery and makes it more comfortable to wear and how it counterbalances the front-loaded weight of the headset.
But it will probably break in a few months and you might need to tape it, but still does it's job.

Must have if you play the Quest 2 a lot. Fit is great and balances out the headset. Once connected, it works automatically and you can charge both the strap battery and Quest battery at the same time by connecting the charger to the back of the strap. Comes with a nice case as well. Recommended!

I couldn't find this thing anywhere, and I so happened to wake up one morning and checked the site and there I saw it waiting for me on the BestBuy site. I didn't even hesitate and purchased it. Headset came 3 days early to my house via UPS.
Pros:
1. Counter balance weight
2. Easy to take your headset off and on.
3. Extended battery life
4. Better quality then the stock strap.
5. Comfortable
Cons:
1. This thing is expensive, wow $129.99? The case isn't all that great but I got lucky finding one of these extra batteries. I was going to have to deal with finding the extra strap to add a power bank and all that jazz and this simply alleviates that headache.
There are alternatives out there that are cheaper, but I don't know if they are as comfortable as this.
2. It has a bad track record when it comes to breaking, I purchased just the elite strap as well and so far so good on my mothers OCQ2 headset but I had to put the extended warranty on these things since people keep saying they break so often. I hope Facebook/Oculus has fixed this issue since.
I will keep posting updates to let you guys know how it holds up. I am very delicate when it comes to how I handle my tech, I release the pressure each time I take it off. So hopefully this will help in it's longevity.

This should be the first accessory anybody buys for their Quest. The fit is so much more comfortable, especially with the counterweight provided by the battery. The battery adds about 2 hours of life to the headset. Mine was dated 11/2020, and I was a little concerned about the snapping issue, but so far that has not happened. We were super delicate with it at first, but have been less so over time & it’s holding up great. I did have a little weirdness with charging it once. The light that indicates charging wouldn’t come on on the headset, so I plugged the cord directly into the headset instead. And that worked. Charged the battery pack separately, and that worked. Not sure what happened, but it worked normally (charges both while connected with power cord plugged into the battery pack) before & after that incident. Maybe just a fluke.
This came with the carry case, which is junk IMO. The zipper is terrible. Very hard to zip & unzip as it gets stuck in spots for seemingly no reason, even with the case empty. Zipper pull comes off very easily. Difficult to fit controllers in if you have covers on them, but they will fit with some finagling. But at the time there was no other way to purchase the elite head strap with battery, so it is what it is.

Great strap and adjusts easily. Kind of odd there are 2 ports for charging (or at least i think they both charge). Not sure what the difference is. I like the extra battery life as it comes in handy when playing with the kids. Comfortable fit and having the battery in the back helps to balance the headset and reduce neck strain.

Fairly expensive, but worth it. I’ve used the carrying case countless times and the only complaint is sometimes it’s really hard to zip up. The strap is very comfortable and doubles the battery life. If your going to put any amount of time using the Oculus you will want this.

a MUST HAVE if you enjoy playing oculus quest for hours. Not only does the battery help, but without this strap it makes the oculus quest 2 uncomfortable. The strap makes it feel a lot better when it is adjusted better on your head. My only complaint would be that you have to be careful and gentle with it. I see people online breaking it without handling it properly so you have to be careful. you need to Make sure it fits comfortably in the case when you are done using it, so you don't put extra pressure on it causing it to break.

This Elite strap w/ extra battery is the way the Oculus Quest 2 should’ve shipped. The soft strap that comes with the Oculus Quest is decent, but, after a while you can feel the weight of the headset bringing you down a bit. The Elite strap comes with a battery that is located on the rear of this hard plastic strap which perfectly balances out the entire set and feels great. On top of the great balance, you will be doubling your battery life from 2-3 hours of playtime to 4-6 hours (depending on the game). There is also a wheel on the back of the strap that you can turn to tighten the entire set. The case that comes in this bundle was also very nice. It’s not the sturdiest case I’ve seen, but looks great nonetheless and everything fits into it nicely.

Im around 6 months in with no issues, with some pretty heavy use early on, bringing it to parties and such. they have supposedly fixed the strap issue, but it seems that they didnt take the old products off of the shelves. So there is a chance that you will get the old one still. If you do some research, you can find the exact date to look out for. Personally I would buy this with the best buy warranty so if you get a problematic unit you can replace it without much hassle. As far as the product goes, the strap is comfortable, but the real QoL improvement is the mechanism for adjustment, simply turning a knob is much easier if you use your quest in a group setting. Addtionally, the battery pack not only extends the playtime, but it acts as a nice counterweight, making the unit way more comfortable.

So glad I purchased this for my quest 2. It’s way more comfortable than the original strap it came with and it also lets me plug in the link cable to my pc from the back of the head strap so it stays behind me at all times and stays out of the way. The carrying case is definitely more bulkier than the case for the original quest and its more difficult to place the controllers in the right place, other than that, the elite strap is definitely worth it for the comfort and extended battery life, not so much for the case.

This really takes pressure off the front of your face unlike the stock straps. Plus the battery pack gives you extra couple hours of gaming. I did not realize but this also comes with the gray carrying case which is also great. Definitely would recommend

Fits perfectly on my head, adds an extra hour or two of playtime, and charges quickly. I thought that it might be a bit awkward on my head but it has a good balance. The case it came with also is nice, fits everything securely.

An Upgrade in All Areas But One

I know there are reports of these things cracking and I just bought mine and it says it was made in Sept but so far so good. Oculus said they found the problem and fixed it but to be safe all of these now have a full 2 year warranty.
A couple weeks in and mine is still going strong. This works great and is an upgrade over the original strap in comfort and convenience. The only thing is the original strap is better for laying down in bed or sitting back in a chair because it leaves the back of your head bare and this does not. But that's okay because this wins in every other aspect. The Oculus display will tell you how much battery is left in internal and external when this is connected. I just wish the case provided at least some sort of instruction on how to put in the controllers. But I think I got it figured out.
