Very versatile and sturdy pack and it carries all my electronics and cords with room for even an overnight stay if needed. Love the glasses case, individual compartments on the side and the strong grip Laptop compartment has already saved my Mac book from damage while falling out of the back of the cab. The only negative is that its slightly longer than other packs which does make it stick out a few more inches under the seat in front. Overall a great buy for the professional on the go.

I thought that all backpacks were created equal. After my old one was falling apart I found the Ogio Renegade on sale at Best Buy. I decided to look the reviews even thought I have never paid more that $40 for one. After reading the reviews I reluctantly decided to jump in. I have been in a couple of trips and love it. There are plenty of pockets that are very versatile and make really easy to find things when you are on a trip (TSA line, plane, meetings, etc). In conclusion, I'm glad I spent more to get a great value.

I have to say in the couple of months that I've owned this pack, I really like it a lot, I bought this for work use, to carry a 14" HP laptop, which it does securely in the padded section. Overall the pack is very comfortable for hoofing it across the long parking lots at work to get to my building, including the shoulder straps and back panel, which is nicely padded and stiff to support good size weight loads, with a plastic panel to help distribute weight. The padding on the back panel is vented to dissipate heat, but doesn't absorb sweat easily if one is prone to that. It has lots of pockets to organize one's cables and other gear, a nice size larger middle section for stuff like file folders and notebooks, along with another decent-sized smaller one to hold a bit more, including a tablet if one is inclined to do so. The organizer panel is good too, with ample pen loops for those of us that still use and carry them, which is something that I found most of the packs I looked at had too few or none of. The two bottom pockets on the outside are handy for an umbrella and water bottle or coffee mug, and the two top side pockets great for cables. I love the reinforced sunglasses pocket, which is great for protecting expensive glasses, though it is a bit large - large enough to hold goggles I should think. The one additional outer pocket at the top is great for little quick access items you need like lip balm, a Listerine spray and such, with two elasticized pockets inside the flap. What could make this better would be elastic edges on the flap itself, so you can store things in the open portion and not have them fall out when the flap is zipped completely open. The pack is capacious without being sloppy or bulky, and I anticipate it would slip under a seat on an airplane without issue, which will be handy when I start traveling for business. I find that I could easily stuff a ton more than I do and it still rides well when walking vigorously, without sloshing about. It's a nice blend of classy looking, with a sporty edge, but still works for business use, making it professional looking, but distinctive compare to its more boring counterparts in the market. Materials seem top-notch, with ballistic nylon throughout, and I expect will be durable for years of use. The negatives of this pack are largely very small. The lack of a key strap/clip in the organizer panel is a notable, significant oversight in my view, and exceedingly annoying, but not enough to not like this pack a lot - I'll probably sew my own in, given my proclivity for occasionally losing my keys. I'd like to see the straps be a little longer, they are only just long enough for comfort for me as a 6'3" man. Taller folks than I will find the straps too short, with the padding stopping too short in the front of one's chest and below one's armpits. The other oversight is the media/phone pocket on the left strap, which is effectively functionally useless for any of today's smartphones, especially plus-sized ones, because it's too small to get one in. The only other thing I might like to see added to the pack is perhaps a couple of daisy-chain loops on the outside to clip stuff to on the outside, but again, this is a small negative.

Was looking for a good backpack for carrying my MacBook Air on trips, and this is the only one that had a dedicated pocket for the laptop and is well padded for excellent protection. It is bulkier than other bags because of that extra padding, so that should be a consideration.

The backpack is well made and the laptop protection is very good. It's easy to slide the laptop in and out. Plenty of room for a tablet and the rest of my stuff.

I was amazed at all the little padded areas to keep my computer from getting banged up. Easy and comfortable pack design makes taking the compact computer easy

I am an Event Manager and I use this bag daily. Love that it has lots of pockets that help me keep things organized. Quality so far seems to be great!

I wanted a backpack that will last me years and I am sure that is what I will get out of my OGIO Renegade. This bag has more protection than a tank with TONS of pockets! I recommend this backpack to anyone who wants the best protection and style.

I highly recommend this backpack, it has a lot of compartments and it is very protective for your laptop. Every tech guy should have one.

I purchased another Ogio bag 5 years ago. There was nothing wrong with it, my son just wanted it, so I gave it to him. Without hesitation I purchased this. Ogio makes amazing tech bags! I use this for work everyday, and is great on my bike as well. It is also carry on airfare friendly. Buy this bag, you will not regret it. The quality is outstanding! I get compliments on it all the time, and people want to know where I got it.

I researched numerous backpacks for my new laptop and the essential items I require on a daily basis and this Ogio was all that I could ask for and more. With that said, I am now going to purchase another one from Best Buy for my co-worker who currently has a SwissGear pack that has failed him after a year. The quality and workmanship of this Ogio backpack is immeasurable and the armored compartment for the laptop is real-time protection. I had it sitting on the back rail of my truck while loading materials and accidently knocked it off with my laptop in it from about 5 feet of the ground. Not a scratch or any damage at all on the laptop. Opened it up and it booted right up with no issues...thank you Ogio!!!

This bag is great! I've had a few in my day....but this one has everything. Not only does it have a protective suspension pocket dedicated just to transporting my laptop safely...it also has a very large main pocket to transport folders, books, clothing, or anything else you need to bring with you. After the main two sections you have 8 other AMAZING pouches to hold everything else. Your mouse? There's a pocket. Charger? Yup there's a pocket. Pens? Sure. You got a pocket. The zippers are strong and the material is comfortable. It's truly my favorite bag.
