I just got this last night and I LOVE it! I used it to record songs from my Hula class. I'm making a CD for my Halau as part of my gift for Secret Santa. The USB makes my life so easy, you don't need to be looking for any cable (cuz I tend to loose those). I have enough cable everywhere & don't know what goes with what. The recording makes it so easy and the clarity is wonderful. The files are easily moved from one place to another. Plus you can use this to transfer any file (i.e. doc, excell, anything) A little suggestion check the website price first, I bought mine online and then picked up the same night it only took them 45 minutes to process and save at least $8. I can't hardly wait to use my little gadget more, might I add this gadget looks so cool and sleek. I love the color it reminds me of my ipod.

I wanted a digital recorder that could download voice files to my laptop for work. I tried two models that both broke down. They were much flimsier than first digital recorder (same brand without download capabilities), which still works. This Olympus doesn't require a USB cord, but plugs directly into the port and is very simple to use with Windows Media player. The sound quality is the best in any recorder I've had. It cost twice as much as the others I had, but if it continues to work as well as it has so far, I won't complain.

    Coolest Gadet Ever!

I'm a pastor, and I record my sermons to post on my website. Until recently I've been hauling a notebook computer, wireless mic (transmitter and receiver), table to set everything on, power strip, etc. EVERY SUNDAY just to make that digital recording. I purchased an Olympus WS-110, and suddenly everything changed. I also purchased the $24 lavalier mic from Olympus (any external mic with a 1/8" mini plug will work), clip it to my tie, plug it in to the WS-110, put the WS-110 in my pocket and preach away. I was concerned that the WMV format might not provide the quality I was seeking, but I was pleasantly surprsied. The recordings are as good as I was getting on my computer with the $500 wireless Telex mic. I was also concerned about the apparently small internal memory (256MB). Not to worry! A 45 minute sermon recorded in highest quality takes only about 15MB of space on the unit (giving a capacity of about 16 hours in HQ mode). THIS IS A DREAM GADGET! The possibilities for use are endless. I love it.

This product works well for me. Keep it handy while driving or doing other multi-tasking activities to record thoughts, things to do, notes to make, things to tell someone else, etc. Can put into separate mailboxes/categories such as by person, activity, task, etc. I review them, take appropriate action, and then erase. Can review them before bed & when planning out my daily activities. Helps me keep track of things & be more organized without slips of paper everywhere that I used to lose.

    Good price - but

Good recording unit with ample selection of recording sensitivity. Nice feature is that the unit plugs directly into USB port without a wire. Trouble I had with this unit was the quality of playback through the built-in speaker. Sound was terrible and nearly had the volume set to max in order to hear the thing. Returned the unit the next day swapping up to the Olympus DS-30. No comparison!!
