First, let me say that this is my second waterproof Olympus camera. The first died when the seal apparently dried out (I take partial responsibility in that I had not read the manual and didn't realize I needed to be treating the seals and/or replacing them periodically). I appreciate the waterproof capability, but I won't be swimming with this one anywhere near as often as I just don't trust it. For the camera, it's nothing spectacular. The time between photos is a bit longer than I'd like, and the zoom is the same cumbersome feel the Olympus waterproof line has always had. In short, if I didn't need the "tough" attributes of being able to bang it around and submerse it in water occasionally I would not buy this camera...but then that's precisely what it's built for (and after all, I did buy it...twice!). Are there better cameras out there? Certainly. Are there better "tough" cameras for occasional water usage? Not that I've found.

Does all the waterproof rugged work, but also functions as a high end day to day camera. Wifi is easy to use...

I was searching for a camera for my wife with a few goals in mind: Easy to use Enough features not to be too basic She could feel comfortable bringing it on our hiking adventures This camera is very cool and has been a lot of fun for her. Indoor quality isn't the best but that was our expectation going into it and we bought it to be used outdoors. We were excited to learn you can buy lens attachments as well to make this thing even more cool.

Great small camera for tough shooting conditions. So glad they finally added RAW capability.

This camera is an absolute beast! It is virtually indestructible. I use it when I know I'm going to be getting my gear wet - fishing, packrafting, or snorkeling. Because it works so well underwater, sometimes above-water photos can come out a little bit overexposed. I've never had a problem editing them afterwards, however, and making them look great. Just be aware of this issue when you're taking the photos so you can tweak the settings or the shot.

A camera that fits in your pocket. That goes everywhere that you go. Waterproof camera allows you to go in the water stress free because you aren't worrying if someone is stealing your camera left at your beach chair. Amazing pictures, waterproof, shockproof, freeze proof. A must buy camera.

Good quality camera that's easy to use and has good relevant options. Underwater quality is good.

Traveling with this camera in Asia and so far it has been great. I've dropped it twice with no problems, sat on it, bashed it about in my bag, and had it in temperatures over 100*. I have yet to use it underwater but so far the camera lives up to the expectations of a versatile, compact, travel camera.

Love this camera! Will work great for every day pics of the family as well as underwater adventures.

Good: - great camera for underwater pictures and videos; ability to use wide, tele adapters and circular light adapter for macro photo; great macro photo features; in body stabilization, RAW support, GPS and Wi-Fi Bad: - Too shallow video record button (hard to find with finger only); very noisy zoom during underwater video recording.

Love all the features. Took some pictures on a recent snorkeling trip and they came out great.

This camera is a great "bang for the buck". Has many of the same features as the high end pro cameras. Great for non-pro.

I waited for this camera to come out and snapped up the first one I could find. This camera will probably serve it's intended purpose, shooting in rugged locations without worrying about water ruining your camera. I shot my daughter's birthday and was really disappointed with the results. All of the images that I used any zoom had really bad distortion around the edges. This distortion went far enough into the image to ruin the shot. Not a bad camera if it was in the 100 dollar range, but at $375? I returned mine.

great for boating, white water rafting, hiking and general use.

We have had an older Olympus point and shoot before and loved it so we hoped the brand had stayed true to form which it had. Color is great. Easy to use. Yes it is waterproof can't say we have dropped it or thrown it around but it is durable and takes great shots. If you are looking for a point and shoot, I highly recommend the Olympus brand for easy to use but great quality cameras

Excellent camera. Love that you can take pics in raw format. Easy to use.

I wouldn't want this as my main camera, but it's been great to have as an option for when we're doing something active. Snorkeling, skiing, fishing, etc. The images come out sharp and you can even save in RAW mode. It's easy to use and super durable, obviously.
