great pictures but some condensation when taking underwater shots (had camera about a week) Best Buy would not let me exchange it for the same model because it was after the two week return policy (was 17 days after purchase , which included the trip). I will have to contact Olympus directly. I have been very pleased with Olympic products in the past and was willing to try a identical model-but I prefer the ease of taking it to the store where I bought it at. Why shop Best Buy if there is no service???

I really wanted the Tough 4 16MP but it wasn't available. Easy to use. Took a while to figure out the movie feature.

Works best underwater. But picture are blurry on the edges and distorted looking when enlarged.

Excellent camera! The underwater ratings are accurate, but if you decide to go further, the pressure causes the camera to zoom in and lose focus.

The worst camera I've bought. Poor quality pictures and bad autofocus.

Bang for the buck, the is the best underwater camera I have owned. Good positive seals. Takes great pictures. The only negative is that the microphone is on top and if you are videoing and sing happy birthday off key, it picks up your sour notes perfectly. :-)

I bought this camera specifically for underwater photography, and I love it!! I've used it to take pictures of my kids swimming underwater in a pool, and I think the image quality is amazing. It's much better than I expected it would be. The photos it takes on land aren't as good as my "big camera", but there's a big price difference in that camera and the lenses, so it's to be expected. I'm very happy with the unique pictures I've been able to capture, and would definitely recommend it to others.

My partner and I decided upon this camera last Christmas with the obvious expectation of it being 'Tough.' After our first vacation however, the camera simply turned off and was never able to turn back on. No drops, no scratches, no issues with it whatsoever up until this point of no return. I submitted the camera to Olympus while still under warranty. After nearly two months waiting to hear back from Olympus, I receive an emailed bill for $140.13 without any explanation of the actual issues (which should have been none regardless besides them initially providing a faulty product). Prior to all this, I would have given the camera two stars due to it's decent under water quality pics. With some gained perspective, I now have no gold stars to give this camera.

I take horrible pictures as a rule, no talent really. This camera makes my not so good photos look great!

We did a ton of searching, and the TG-4 was no longer being sold. This came out 3 days before our cruise. I purchased the camera and paid the additional one day shipping. We took some normal pictures and they turned out wonderful (really great for a 12 megapixel camera). The reason for the 1 star is that I triple checked and made sure all seals were shut / locked. We were about to get about 5 - 8 underwater pictures which were absolutely stunning. About 5 minutes into our snorkeling trip it quit working. 0 water came out of the 2 compartments (battery / SD card, and where you plug the power in). We got back to the cruise ship and still no water came out but then the screen was fogged over and you could tell that somehow water had gotten into the unit. I returned it for the full refund and if I thought the next one would truly be waterproof I would have had it replaced. However, it was 500.00 that was wasted on a Disney cruise. Thankfully I still brought our go pro and got pictures, but sadly they're not as good as these could have been. One side note is that when I took the camera back I had assumed the SD card was bad too, but I did ask them to check since I forgot. The geek squad wanted to charge me 100.00 to grab the 13 pictures that managed to stay on it before it quit working. I had to run home, grab my laptop and upload them there at the store (a whole 30 seconds worth of work). I cannot believe that they wanted to charge 100.00 for less than 30 seconds worth of work especially when I explained the situation and took pictures on my iPhone of the screen fog after it quit working. That type of customer service is one reason I typically shop Amazon but they had not started shipping this model yet.
