I had checked into various reviews of this pocket recorder. I decided to buy it at BestBuy knowing that I could return it if I was not satisfied. I have been very pleased with the design of this pocket recorder. While in my pocket, a flick of the top switch will put it into record mode even though it might be locked. There are the normal controls one expects on a digital recorder. The only function that is missing is support for a memory card. There is 4GB of internal memory and you can move recordings from the recorder to your PC. Overall, I am happy with my piurchase and the BestBuy experience.

Highly user-friendly, excellent ergonomics, flawless function, and amazing sound quality (with proper settings)--this very discreet Olympus "pen" recorder should be considered absolutely essential tech for every single meeting, conference, and "water cooler chat" you have with today's world of cutthroat office politics, he said/she said discrepancies, immoral tactics, bait-and-switch offers, and overall abusive bosses. Literal 1-click operation and ability to hide this item in pocket, edge of purse, etc. means you can CYA effectively and fast! My highest recommendation? BUY this recorder!

This device has been discrete. Easy to transfer files to computer. I still haven't figured out all features. I find it holds a large amount of files.

This recorder is about size of pen. Light and recording quality is more than adequate.

The recorder is small and shaped like a fat pen. It is easy to disguise if one wishes to use it to record someone without their knowledge. Be sure the volume is turned up and the microphone is not covered up. It is a great little device for easy recording.

This recorder is easy to conceal and records perfectly even when concealed in a pocket ect. Recordings transfer effortlessly and it stores hours and hours of audio.

I needed something to use immediately for a meeting that was discreet and reliable. Ran into store, was pointed in the right direction, and was headed to check out! Much smaller than the pocket recorders! Love it!

Had to buy as I had broke the screen in my last recorder. I found I like this one much more; particularly because of its size and pocket noise reduction feature. Another great feature is the instant-on recording feature

Love the rechargeable battery and the size. The ease of use is fantastic. Never opened up the instructions.

Pros: records well, adjustable sensitivity for the mic, easy to move files off of the device. Cons: clip broke first day of use, plastics used are brittle and not durable. For most uses this is a good recorder for the money and does what it's designed to do. Although I rated it lower for durability it's a decent value for the money.

I have owned this voice recording device before. I am impressed with the stereo sound quality. It is also unobtrusively worn on the collar or pocket. I use it as a secondary sound recording when i am shooting video interviews since it pick up much less noise than the camera. I also like that I can record in any of 3 formats: MP3/WMA/PCM (WMA preferred).

Fits in a pocket perfectly without any notice if you need it to be unseen.

I have a very specific need for a voice recorder - it has to be small and fit in a pocket and pick up voices well. This fit the bill and from a major company. resulting voice files can easily be emailed (for me - to my lawyer). If you need to protect yourself, this fits the bill. Seems to last a good long time on a charge.

This is a great product o have especially when you work with people that lies all the time. It looks like a fat pen - which is a great disguse.

As a speaking deaf student this product records in multiple formats that can be quickly converted to readable, searchable text for reviewing lecture content and reviewing for exams and writing papers. Small, easy to use. Long recording times and battery life. Just WOW!
