Customers are saying
Customers love the OMEN by HP 24.5" LED FHD Monitor's refresh rate and picture quality, frequently praising its vibrant colors and excellent performance for gaming. Many appreciate the monitor's value for its price point, although some found the stand somewhat less than ideal. A few customers wished for built-in speakers and height adjustment capabilities. Overall, the positive feedback on picture quality and performance outweighs the minor criticisms.

While it looks cool..
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While it looks cool, this monitor is very wobbly on the stand. Fell off into my hands a couple times when I was trying to mount it so I took it back to the store.

Not too terrible
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Monitor isn’t too bad. Mine came damaged though so I ended up just swapping for the asus 24 inch. This monitor also does not get 144 hz which was another reason for the swap.

Works well pictures great a few flaws.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Still working pictures great it did get a dead pixel later in the years when connected to the stand it moves too easily the screen will move some with slightest touch or vibration. Windows itself at first had trouble seeing it could go higher refresh rate later updates fixed that the omen software lets you get it tuned right. Monitor is near 6 years old now.

Very Good Performance
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have an HP Omen Desktop and my main complaint about it was that action games seemed to respond slow on the screen with some blur, especially during fast scenes. I blamed the graphics card until I tried this HP Omen 25 monitor. Lesson learned: a gaming computer also needs a good gaming monitor like this one that responds at 1 ms with a refresh rate of 144Hz. Images look good even in low lighting. Nice to have two USB 3 ports. I used the DisplayPort which is the recommendation for Ultra high resolution but the included HDMI ports will do just do fine for the Omen 25 since it tops at 1080p. One of the pros of this monitor is that it is AMD FreeSync compatible which makes games look even smoother and responsive but at the same time that feature only works with AMD graphics cards. My experience with a NVIDIA card was still very good but I know it could have been even better if it was AMD. I installed the My Display Software from the CD and tried to use the calibration tool. Unfortunately, the software crashed every time. I ended up using NVIDIA tools to calibrate it as much as I could. Here's hoping HP will release an update soon. Its stand cannot be adjusted to raise or lower it. I use a secondary monitor which is adjustable and I had to lower it against my will to match the height of the Omen 25. On the other hand, it can tilt which may be useful under some situations. All the issues described above contributed to my 4-star rating but they are minor considering the affordability and the very good performance of this monitor. It is great for games and video editing up to 1080p.

Very durable, not true 144hz
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This monitor is great for the price. Cons are that it ghosts really really badly when trying to reach higher response times.

A true gaming monitor, with 144 Hz refresh rate!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The HP Omen Gaming Monitor is an all around great monitor, especially for gamers or those interested in applications that offer more than 60hz performance. Inside the box you get the monitor, which is surprisingly lightweight, along with the pieces needed to assemble the stand, which is a very easy process that is easy to take apart for storage as well. An additional wall plate is included for those who are interested in mounting the monitor to a wall. Upon being set up, I noticed that the monitor provides a very high quality picture, with an abundance of settings both inside the included software and through the monitor’s menu system itself. There are multiple presets for changing how the picture looks, but I found that the default image settings worked the best. The high point of this monitor is the 144 Hz refresh rate: paired with a powerful gaming computer, the monitor can provide an incredibly crisp, fluid image that other monitors that can’t go beyond 60hz, cannot produce. When sampling a few games that supported more than 60 FPS, I found the image to be extremely smooth and noticeably more responsive experience. For the price point, this is an excellent monitor, and it obviously pairs extremely well with the HP Omen Gaming PC (which I used to test the monitor). As games get more and more visually intensive, you want to have a quality monitor such as this one to get the most out of games. My friends are envious and are looking forward to getting one of these as well; they have been looking for a decent priced quality monitor with 144 Hz.

Now is the Time to Get Into PC Gaming!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Now that gaming equipment is becoming affordable, I am loving the options. This HP Omen 25 monitor is part of my first foray into having a gaming PC rig. I have an HP Omen Desktop that looks so great with this monitor. I love the style and look of the monitor, but I wish the monitor had a way to raise or lower it like my old monitor had. That said, the performance and features of this monitor are awesome. The HP Omen 25 monitor sports two USB 3.0 ports to plug your peripherals into, as well as DisplayPort and HDMI connections. It features 1 ms response times, and has a refresh rate of 144Hz. I didn't realize how much of a difference this would make until I started up some games. The picture is so clear, but better yet, the movements are SO smooth. Another great feature is that the monitor has a headphone holder so your headphones don't have to lay out on the desk when not in use. I love this, as I have started using headphones for gaming at night. Including an HDMI cable and a DisplayPort cable was also a nice touch.

Mediocre monitor.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this as a budget high refresh monitor, but returned it. The high refresh isn't what the monitor is optimized for and defaults to 60hz so it was a half-hearted feature. The panel was terrible, colors and contrast were dull compared to an IPS display that cost half the price. Finally the stand was just a joke. Basically this monitor is just not worth the asking price.

Stunning Display!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am reviewing this monitor as a 2-part project that includes the HP Omen desktop. Firstly, this HP-25 inch monitor has AMAZING resolution. The set up for this monitor was relatively easy in connecting to my Omen desktop unit. The apex point of this monitor is the 144 Hz refresh rate in addition to pairing with the Omen desktop gives gamers an incredible viewing experience. I instantly experienced how this monitor brings graphics to life with amazing rich color tones and hues. While gaming, I also noticed how fluid the animated movements were. Lastly, this monitor complements the Omen desktop quite well. This AWESOME duo will serve gamers for quite sometimes to come!
