This monitor does not support 144Hz at the advertised 1MS response rate, which HP confirmed on Twitter. If you are wanting a high refresh rate, low latency monitor, you need to look elsewhere.

(25es on left, Omen on right). I was looking to upgrade from a HP 25es 60hz IPS to a 144hz for gaming. I found this and the specs looked decent for the price. There were no reviews for this model anywhere. I took a chance and bought it. In the end I felt like I made a good choice. Colors look great. I actually prefer the TN panel over the IPS due to contrast. The difference in refresh rate is obvious and I love it. Games feel so much smoother than they did before. The only negative I have is that HP's My Display software is outdated and doesn't run properly on windows 10. you can download the drivers with the provided software, but can't access advanced features in My Display. You can still set the refresh to 144hz without My Display. If that was fixed I would have given five stars. Overall its a great gaming monitor and I plan on purchasing another soon.

The monitor is amazing for the first 1 to 2 months afther that u will get screen flickers in games.and if u do get it pay extra so u can return it afther it goes bad.

I have to say that I was impressed by the HP Omen monitor. The graphics are amazing compared to my old Asus VH232 monitor. The price is also pretty good for a gaming monitor like this. The rapid response time is amazing for those graphic intense games. I couldn't be happier with this monitor. It includes a USB 3.0, HDMI connector, and headphone jack. The design is also slick, so that is a big plus for me too. I'd say that the only drawback for this monitor would be views from an angle, so depending on how you plan on mounting the monitor, you might want to take that into consideration. In all, this is a great gaming monitor for the price. I don't think it will disappoint you. I surely wasn't.

This is my 1st experience with a 144hz monitor and it has exceeded my expectations! The difference on Xbox, from playing on a tv to this monitor, is night and day. 100x smoother movement and graphics. I was blown away and still wondering why I didn’t make this switch earlier? For pc, I wanted to find something with gsync, but the prices are outrageous. This still made things a litter smoother and sharper though and for under $200, it’s a steal!

Even at 60hz, this monitor is smooth and consistent. I plan to use it for my Gaming rig that has a 1070 in it, but even for console gaming it is fantastic. The picture is very sharp, and the colors deep. I am very pleased with this purchase!

This monitor is absolutely great. It's easy to setup, the colors are great, FreeSync is available for the computers that support it, and the size is just right. Gaming on this monitor is fantastic. I play Overwatch and Hitman and such with high settings for graphics and it looks fantastic. Being Full HD only though is a bit of a downside. It could have been at least 2K, but 1080p is still fairly good enough. This monitor can benefit from a lower price though considering it is still just 1080p, which does not make it future-proof.

Terrible product way too over price for the product

This display has your choice of 2 types of inputs. 2-HDMI and a display port. It has a Great detail and awesome blacks with perfect contrast. About the only drawback is the location of the display controls which are placed on the rear edge of the unit without any idea where they are looking from the front. You have to look at the rear to see what controls what. Even if they would have put some writing on the front to tell you where or what controls were at what location would have been useful. That is why I gave it 4 stars out of 5. Otherwise it was perfect in every other way.

I use this monitor connected to my PC which has DisplayPort, HDMI, and DVI. I use DisplayPort so I could output the 144hz Refresh Rate and I can tell you, the jump from a 60hz or even a 75hz monitor to a 144hz makes a HUGE difference. If you can get this monitor on sale for about $100-$220, this is a bargain. The only downside is that this is a TN panel, so basically if you're doing video editing or photo editing, the colors may not be as good as a IPS display. I personally use my second monitor which is an IPS display for video editing but for gaming, if your computer can run games at over 100 FPS, it feels really smooth on this monitor. Even at desktop use only it's smooth. In conclusion, this is a great monitor if you're going to use it for gaming.

I was looking to upgrade from a 60hz monitor for playing fps games, I immediately saw the omen monitor 144hz at a reasonable price went to best buy & purchased it. I came home hooked it up set it to 144hz and haven't stopped playing since, the upgrade to feel and accuracy is amazing, If you are on the fence about 144hz upgrade don't be, it's a must, once you upgrade you will never go back, the colors and responsiveness of this monitor are awesome, I'm really happy with the purchase and can't believe I've waited this long to upgrade. If you are on the fence about 144hz like I was don't be, GO GET THE UPGRADE!!! Im running a budget setup i7 dell studio xps 8100, I added a msi 1050ti to the setup, a solid state drive, and this monitor, the improvements are massive, my framerate is around 100-150 or somewhere inbetween, usually 120-130 mark pretty stable. Highly recommend this monitor even for a budget setup. Extremely smooth gameplay.

Initially I was extremely skeptical in purchasing this monitor. As stated above, there were no reviews to be found at all. I couldn't even find this monitor for sale on the actual manufacturers site. Nonetheless I gave it a try and I was not disappointed. After having to return a brand new Asus 144hz monitor suffering from 3 dead pixels and major lightbleed in the bottom left corner, the colors straight out of the box look great on the tn panel of the omen. No dead pixels, a nice 144hz refresh rate that is great for games like pubg and overwatch, and sturdy build quality make it a good choice . The only gripe I have is that it is on the heavy side and does wobble slightly when accidentally bumping into the desk. Would definitely buy another.

Tl;Dr - you will not be disappointed in this monitor! Let me start this by saying I came from a 27" monitor that had 1080p, with same identical stats as this monitor, but was just getting outdated. It had no HDMI and not many customization settings for visual options. I went into best buy, wanting to get another 27" monitor, but actually to get a dual monitor set up for my gaming setup. As I am searching around, a store associate asks if I am doing good and if I needed anything. I asked him, "What would you prefer for an advanced gaming monitor setup?" Now, I was thinking he was just gonna show me the priciest monitor in the store and try to get me to buy it. I was wrong. He showed me this, and at first, I wasn't to happy with what he showed me. Until, he told me about the specs, the reviews, and the overall reputation of HP in the gaming community. Then finally, showing visual options and photo-realistic/videos on it..= I walked away with two of these, trusting this store associate that this was the best monitor in the store, for your pockets. He did not disappoint me when I got home. I got home, opened them up, made sure everything was in the box, did my cosmetic review, just to make sure nothing was damaged. I then hooked them up, turned the gaming PC on and the Xbox one x, and let me tell you... I was stunned. It brought happiness to me, believe it or not. There is no latency in these or any image delays for those wondering. It all was instant. To compare these; -I have the following: 55 inch 4k smart tv, 65 inch 4k tv, 32 inch 4k tv, 28 4k curved monitor, and a dated 27 inch 1080p monitor. So I did what any gaming nerd would do, and tested every single tv and compared them to this monitor. Now, take away size difference, I was shocked at how good this monitor was able to compete with 4k visuals. I played PUBG, Fortnite, Skyrim, Far Cry 5, and Forza Horizon 3 and every single one looks amazing on this monitor. So if you haven't gotten the message yet, buy this monitor if you need something on a budget, or you need a dual-monitor setup.

This monitor is a perfect compliment to the Omen Desktop PC. Vibrant show of colors and images as well as being a nice size to enjoy gaming and all other computing needs. Definitely worth looking into if you have any of the Omen desktops.

Bought this monitor when it was on sale for $200, and I must say, I'm very pleased with the picture quality, rapid response times and overall design. I Would definitely recommend to anyone who is in the market for a gaming monitor.

Good monitor for gaming. Bad for color accuracy. I like the refresh rate and multiple inputs so you can hook up another video source to it. The bad is it will not serve double duty for light photo editong as the rgb color gamut is only 79% and has havy backlight bleed.

This monitor has a crisp and bright display with great contrast. There are two hdmi connections on the back along with displayport connection and usb 3.0. 1080p display. I used it as a second display on my Asus laptop and it worked well for video editing and other graphics work. Please note that the user manual and other information are on the supplied disc. Installation information is there as well. Base for the monitor base has to be installed and better instructions than those taped to the screen are on the disc in the user manual there. Monitor case has interesting "omen" graphics; monitor settings are accessed from behind the screen on the right lower area behind the power on light. Not well marked.
