We were former Roku users who moved to an Apple TV. This remote works fantastic with the Apple TV and provides the same form factor and functionality as the Roku remotes. So there really is no learning curve. The LED light colors is just a gimmick in my opinion, in fact, I don't even notice the LED ring anymore when we use the buttons. Overall, excellent remote, especially for the price.

You really can’t beat this little remote for the price. We cut the cord and wanted to simplify our remote control situation for our Insignia TVs, Apple TVs, Bose and Sonos sound bars. As other reviewers have stated - its a bit of a pain to set up, so save the instructions in case you need them again as you’ll never remember how to set it up. The illuminated buttons are perfect for using the remote at night. This remote requires line of sight to your Apple TV (IR) - so it won’t work if your Apple TV is mounted to the back of your TV, etc. It won’t completely replace your remotes so if you need to fiddle with menus or anything you will need to pull out the OEM remote, so keep them close by tucked away in a drawer. I prefer this because it helps keep the remote simple. But for 99.99% of what you do on your TV/Apple TV, this works great.

Well we order it for the Roku Fire stick( note: we did not read that in the description, just a hasty order. Although we have 2 Roku streaming units that it works great with. Will not work for Fire stick like it says.

Good remote. I was able to program controlling of my whole home theater with this remote. Programming is a little difficult, and need to read the directions a few times to get it to work.

Great ease of set-up. Able to control multiple devices seamlessly. Batteries seem to drain rather quickly.

The overall idea of the remote, it's fine. It's the best of all worlds, but it does not work as described. they are not clear about the brands that it will work with. And even if your brand is listed, uh, it doesn't guarantee it's going to work, it did not for me. It didn't matter what code I put in. Everything would work except for the volume every single time. I can reset the remote completely and try again with all the codes but nothing would actuallly tell it to work.

I got this remote to use with my samsung it is a nice size and easy to setup I could turn the tv on and off and adjust the volume but I could not get it to change channels had it return it

The remote works and all but the only reason I am giving it 3 stars is because it drains batteries like crazy. Unless you have rechargeable batteries, this remote is going to cost you a bit more. Again, the remote works and its awesome that I can put 3 devices on one remote.

I was unable to use the preset to have all the buttons fully functional. Good thing this has a wonderful feature to program each specific button the same as your remote (if you have it). The instructions were fairly easy to follow. Used this remote to replace my tv and sound bar basic feature buttons like power directional control and volume.

Good battery life as well as great customability. It feels great in hand the up,down,left,right,select button a little stiff for my taste but not bad. Programming it atleast for me was not fun. Your tv will need Cec control for some devices like Nvidia shield. Shield uses bluetooth remote which this controller does not have never the less cec control will work. After programming I like it and the backlight customization is a nice touch.

Does what I need it to. Set these up for each of my Insignia Roku TVs (2016 models) after returning my Cable boxes and using their stream app instead. Works well to control the volume on a Bose and LG soundbar. Will be getting one for my Father in Law to do the same.

Works great. I figured out how to get it to power on/off my Bose soundbar and TV with the one main power button. In learning mode, just send one after the other and it works! You just have to be quick. Now it's perfect.

We got this to take the place of the stock AppleTV remote. We were having issues with losing that little sucker and the touch pad sensitivity was frustrating/inconsistent for some users in our household. This guy was pretty easy to setup (despite some reviews). Product enhancements we'd love to see (RF capability to preclude line of site requirement; the Power Off button doesn't turn ATV off...but it ultimately shuts itself off after timeout; voice control would be a nice plus....this is key for some apps (e.g., search fields).

It did exactly what we needed -- a replacement for a missing remote for an LG/Roku TV. I wish that the shortcut buttons at the bottom were customizable, but otherwise, it's good.

This is a simple and expensive remote that does it’s job well. I’ve enjoyed having it around as a second remote for my Apple TV, it’s come in handy when a Apple TV remote has lost its charge. And it’s actually easier to use to control the Apple TV than the standard Apple product is.

Really nice little remote that’s easy to use... You’ll likely buy this for a lost Roku remote and be satisfied, but if you have a Roku stick it won’t work (exclusive to Roku Box’s). Fairly easy setup but you will require the directions to do so. That being said, $25 is steep for its capabilities.
