As a Linkin Park fan I enjoyed this album at this point it seems that the heavy rock days were gone for the band. It is really all about melody and introspective thoughts. It might surprise you the direction that they took at that time and might even not recognize that it is their music.

You definitely have to be open minded about this project from Linkin Park as it isn't the hard stuff we are used to. Really has a different vibe to it but i still enjoy it.

This was Chester’s last CD prior to passing away. The main song is a fitting tribute to his friend that passed as well as him.

I have always been a fan of Linkin Park but was mostly familiar with the very popular songs that made their way to mainstream radio. After Chester died I started listening to more of LP's music and found that I really loved all of their music, but especially Chester's distinctive vocals. One More Light is an extraordinary gift because it displays the softer side of Chester and Mike's vocals and I love each and every song. My favorite song is Halfway Right- there is something I love about the musicality of that song, followed by One More Light. That song is so haunting and beautiful especially given the meaning behind it. I am so sad that I will never get a chance to hear Chester sing some of these songs live but I am thankful that the music was released and One More Light has brought much needed attention to suicide prevention. I listen to this CD multiple times a day and love it more and more every time I hear it.

I had read a review about this release before I purchased it. It said the album was a 'pop' album. Well, it kind of is, but hey, it is a EXCELLENT pop album. Every song was penned by Mike and other co-writers. As usual, a very listenable work from LP. If you like the LP vibe, then I would recommend this one. It is somewhat along the lines of The Rolling Stones recent blues release in that it is a departure from the expected, but a refreshing one. I suspect if LP or the Stones made a country album, I'd enjoy that as well.

I’ve been a fan of linkin park since their first video “one step closer” aired at 3am on mtv in the fall of 2000. I, like many fans was just devastated when lead singer Chester Bennington took his life just a little over a year ago. This last album stays in my car and I listen to it over and over. This is such a powerful and moving album. Not only is it one of my favorite albums by linkin park but it’s definitely one of my favorite albums of all time. I highly recommend this album even if you’re not a die hard fan. If you need a song to relate to, I’m sure you’ll find one in this album. R.I.P. Chester Bennington. God bless.

This album doesn’t really sound like LP to me. As someone who’s followed then from the beginning, I miss the rock sound of this band versus the VERY pop-electronic sound they have here on this album. I only bought it b/c it was on sale. Kids today will probably like it and fans who like just anything LP as well but for someone who misses the screaming, heavy guitar sounds of the old LP, this is at the bottom of the totem pole of their discography for me

This one of Linkin Park's best albums, though it's been criticized by reviewers and fans as too Pop for them. I listen to the band for its fine melodies and arrangements more than the thrash rock and rap (though they integrate those well). This one focuses more on the melodies. I wish the lyrics had a better editing; some things just don't make sense. But with lead singer Chester Bennington's suicide, several songs take on a more sinister note than simply how breaking up with someone hurts. Don't know if he wrote the lyrics of those particular songs, but they wound up being scarily prescient.

Even though I didn't buy this album on release day and was meaning to buy it eventually, it is sad that I ended up getting it the day of Chester's passing. I have been a fan of the band for many years and even though this album is in so many ways different, it still so shows to absolute grace and power of Chester's voice and another layer of creativity that the band has. I am grateful that I got to see Linkin Park once live...it was 4 years ago and was one of the best concerts I have ever been to...makes me wonder...like the rest of the world...what is in store for LP.

I love Linkin Park, but this one just didn't do it for me. The remixes weren't all that great.
