I'm really enjoying my new Onkyo receiver. I choose this model for the 4K and ATMOS abilities.

this receiver is loaded with features. easy to set up basics right out of the box. after adjusting sound levels and volumes sound was great. switching between zones and sources was a bit complicated with the remote. it was much easier using my smartphone and the onkyo remote app.

This is the second Onkyo receiver I have purchased. It does everything I need it to do.

This thing offers everything the average consumer should want or need in a AVR. Plenty of power per channel, tons of HDMI connections, as well network connectivity including wired and wireless. The on-screen menu is elegant and professional looking and is easy to navigate. Also the remote control has been revamped with far less buttons. Very intuitive. One feature that drew me to this amp after testing out several was the physical button layout on front. To get to the input of your choice is a simple 1 button push. Each input is represented in a row of buttons across the front unlike some amps which have you turning a knob back and forth for input selection. And oops, don't go past it. With this button layout, choosing the input you want is quick and easy. It's currently powering a full Polk speaker setup including six T15's, a T30 center and a PSW108 sub. I couldn't be more pleased with the results of this setup. I highly recommend the TX-NR656.

Sound is fantastic relatively easy to set up. My only real complaint is with the tv set up an 4th arc HDMI it tends to want to auto start to the tv setting first rather than to the cable box when I turn the tv on

Needed a low profile speaker for the front of the TV. Much better sound. Works great.

Easy setup with automated instructions. Great to finally have HDMI inputs and outputs.

Better than I expected once I downloaded the Onkyo Controller app on my phone and tablets. The .2 of the 7.2 makes it seem like two receivers instead of one. The sound is as good as the speakers you connect. And the NET apps are refreshing. it definitely brought me into 2017.

Pick this up during the cyber monday sale. I couldn't be happier with the price.

From set up to sound quality this unit is performing great. Sound diversification is terrific, with old unit had a hard time hearing voices on programs, now they are very distinct. Easy to switch modes as well. I feel for the price this is an exceptional buy.

I love this had a old Yamaha which stop working and upgrade it works like champ

The features on this piece are phenomenal for the price. Amp circuitry is absolutely silent. Works seamlessly with any A/V equipment you might have. Looks like Onkyo might have a newer model coming soon, a few watts more power. I am very glad I got this one!

I picked this up as a Black Friday deal for $250. Nothing at this price point came close in terms of connectivity. 8 HDMI inputs (7rear+1front), 3 of which have hdcp 2.2 pass through and a phono input were the main selling points for me. Also includes chromecast audio built in. Only complaint I have is that I sometimes have to turn the unit on and off to engage ARC with an M series Vizio but that could be the TVs issue, not the receiver.

I am really pleased with this product it was so easy to setup . I truly believe you cannot go wrong with an Onkyo receiver. The sound quality is superb and I am looking forward to setting up some speakers for outside, so I can enjoy my music outside as well.

I like the Bluetooth, Wi-Fi features, and the multi zone ability. It does not sound as good as my old one, even though it has a higher output rating. At 50% my old system would shake the room. You have to turn this one up to 70% to even get close and then you start getting distortion.

Very pleased with this unit used it to replace a denon unit that failed after only two years (will never buy Denon again) set up on the onkyo was a breeze and sound quality and Bluetooth playback quality are both excellent. Highly recommend this receiver
