Top technology: it works with my 4K LG tv. I can play Bluetooth and it connects to 7.2 system. Easy to use- great deal. What else do you want. Too many choices = paralysis. Just buy this.

Replaced my old Onkyo AVR with this one for 4K. Did not expect the sound to be so much better. I have been having intermittent issues with no sound when using Airplay and Bluetooth. I hope support will help my solve this.

Using this with new Polk signature speakers. Sounds fantastic. Onkyo has always been a great sounding receiver and bullet proof construction. Great features, love the wifi access.

I bought this at a great price ($249). However, I still have trouble connecting PC to the HDMI input jack on the unit. I do not see pictures. I called Onkoy tech support and was asked to try "deactivate deep color" and "turn off 1080p up-scaling". I tried both and still do not work. I will contact their tech support again.

Sound quality is top notch & set up was easy. I really like the bypass feature. Only complaint is trouble connecting via bluetooth & mirroring which I'm able to do thru my Samsung TV so I gotta blame the reciever.

I was looking for a receiver with multiple HDMI inputs and this receiver has 8! And 2 HDMI outputs! Sound is really good and it was super easy to setup, very user friendly. For what I spent on it, it was a steal.

I previously had an Onkyo receiver and it performed perfectly for over 14 years so I felt very comfortable purchasing this unit. Easy to set up and such great features. Love it!

The Onkyo 7.2 surround sound has a lot going for it if you want to hook up a bunch of players the volume is a bit funky you have to turn it up to 50 to get any sound but after that there is plenty to go around

Very simple setup and controls, sound is very great. I got this reciver for $349 I wouldn't pay anything more than that to be honest. I use it for my bedroom atmos setup and it works wonderful for the price.

I wasn't sold on needing built in Bluetooth, wireless, pandora but WOW! It's all I use now to either control or listen. The power and sound on my Polk speakers is amazing.

This receiver continues to surprise me. It's super powerful and I really don't need a sub. I barely need more than 2 speakers. 2 words...theater dimensional. That is all.

    Great Receiver So Far

Bought this receiver for my theater after my Pioneer receiver bit the dust. I've only owned it for a few months, but so far it has been excellent. The speaker setup was far easier to handle than the Pioneer I had before. (I will note that I am not a novice when it comes to setting up a theater system.) It handles my surround sound and projector setup very well with great sound and picture. I also like being able to customize the sources for the display. A nice little touch. This is my first Onkyo and I'm pretty impressed with it for a "middle of the road" receiver. It does everything I ask of it, with some flair.

I bought this to replace a failing SR707. It can handle all of the old connections except for a remote ir connection that the old unit used (allowing control from behind the cabinet doors without the ugly stick on ir eye) but overall it’s a decent performer.

Good sound. Inputs and outputs for virtually anything the average person could want to connect. This is my second NR656. The first sustained a backdoor power surge through Ethernet into hdmi. At least that was the presumed cause. Now, even though we have always, and still use surge protectors for electrical, cable, and Ethernet. If we leave home or we have approaching lightening storm, we unplug all. All wiring where I live is buried, but not so out of my subdivision, and that's enough to cause a very bad day. It can happen to you. I'm 65 and have never had this happen before until this time.
