A great find during the holiday season. Wanted to upgrade my surround system to Atmos and was able to do it with this receiver. Also, it has an ARC output which makes my setup easier. Plus it was only $249... what a steal. Thanks BB

I likened my first unit so much I purchased a Second unit. Onkyo performs the the High Standards of more expensive units. Consistent performance that meets all my expectations.

Plenty of hdmi inputs for all your devices. Multi room available. Atmos, dts-x, this receiver has it all and can pump out some sound.

Is a very good unit and sound is great but gets very HOT even with a cooling fan designed for cooling receivers ($89.00 from AC Infinity) check them out, great products.

This receiver is great, it has 8 HDMI in, 2 out. I use it to hookup all of my devices, and send the video to 2 tvs. It was a great price!

The Onkyos are substantially less costly than comparable receivers from other companies. They are solidly built and do a great job, especially for the price

I purchased an Onkyo 7.2 Amlifier/Tuner for my home entertainment system. It supports our home theater as well as pushing audio to 3 sets of remote speakers inside/outside our home. The product has many new capabilities... wifi, bluetooth, pandora, etc. The Geek Squad did the install to perfection - balancing the audio and ensuring everything worked with my Harmony remote. I would definitely buy this product again and call upon the Geek Squad for installation services. A big shout out to Omar R. who did our install.

This receiver rivals a lot of the upper end receivers and the price was fantastic ! The wyfi is a must for music lovers

Great receiver I am using Sony SSCS speakers. They sound great paired with this receiver. Receiver does seem to rum a tad hot though.

This receiver replaced a SonySTR-DN850 and sounds much better - much more dynamic sound. It does especially well with Dolby Atmos coded BlueRay movies. I have ceiling speakers that are used for the front high and surround channels and they work very well. The auto configuration worked well for all my speakers. At the price, this is a terrific buy. Setup is pretty easy and the menus are easy to navigate. You do have to go to the internet to download the full user manual. Highly recommended.

Replaced my old Onkyo that died after many years of servive. Works as great but with more features. The wirless connection is an awesome addition. No more network cables dictating where the reciever goes.

I was looking for a new receiver to replace an older one that would no longer allow me to access radio stations. With the multiple input capabilities, this receiver meets all of the needs for accommodating old (yes, I still have a VHS player) and new equipment. It also gives me the capability to do 4k passthrough to the television. I looked at other products, many of which were almost double the cost for this receiver, but didn't have nearly as many features. Great product for the price!

This receiver was easy to set up. plenty of inputs for 4K and HDR supported. Makes my 5.2 theatre room sound amazing for movies and video gaming.

Purchased this HDMI receiver because it offered high power and a B set of speakers that can drive another room. Turns out the B set only works with an analog input!! Stupid. Receiver has BlueRay on first HDMI, and Cable/Sat with the Reverse Audio HDMI on the 2nd port. After being used on Cable, and then being turned off overnight, the next day it often resets to BlueRay about 20 seconds after power up. Again--STUPID and ANNOYING.

Since I was buying an OLED that supported 4k/HDR I had to upgrade my receiver to allow the signal to pass through. Read some reviews on CNET and decided on this one due it supporting 4k/HDR, Dolby Atmos and DTSx. It seemed like the closest to future proof as you could get. I have a 5.1 set up and haven't tried the atmos yet, but I can say this receiver sounds great with my klipsch speakers. Love the number of HDMI inputs and the easy set up via the included mic. Highly recommended.

I wholeheartedly endorse that you buy this receiver. The clarity of the sound is amazing as is the picture it sends to the projector. It was time to upgrade to Atmos and DTS-X and really glad I did so (DTS-X came easily as an upgrade through the internet). The ceiling speakers really provide an immersive experience as promised by Dolby and DTS - do not procrastinate and order it today!
