I can't comment on Dolby Atmos performance, but the overall sound quality and power of the receiver is superb. Clear, crisp, loud, and powerful. The network functionality is more of a novelty than anything, though a nice addition. Bluetooth audio streaming works well and has respectable range, though not any better than most Bluetooth audio devices. My reason for knocking a star is the auto HDMI switching while in standby. This functionality DOES NOT perform well and is definitely the biggest disappointment in the purchase.

Was ordered through the store because one was not available. Rec'd quickly but now seems to be a problem with one of the outputs. Husband going to take back and exchange if one still available. But he loves everything else about it.

I’ve had this system for just over a year. So far it’s holding up well. The multi zone feature allows you to play 2 different audio functions in 2 different areas at the same time. My zone 1 is for home theater surround sound and zone two goes to my outside patio stereo speakers. The trick is getting familiar with using the remote to switch between the zones. Plenty of power for both zones running at the same time.

You cannot go wrong with this receiver for $249.99 It has everything other 'top names' receivers has plus two year warranty. This one will be center of your home theater. Highly recommend!

Old receiver broke on me and this was a great upgrade. enough hdmi ports to hook everything up to it and it even has a feature to make all the speakers adjust to a center point in the room.

... I was concerned for no reason. I was determined to buy something other than Onkyo because of some "less than stellar" reviews. Glad I changed my mind. This receiver has performed flawlessly. Will definitely recommend.

Good receiver to integrate 4K TV, Bose surround sound system, CD player and 4K blue ray player with Logitech infered universal remote.

This receiver offers all the bells and whistles. The on screen (television) wireless interaction is easy to use. Pandora and other streaming options let you hear any type of music your into. The subwoofer output is phenomenal. Would definitely recommend this product.

Wanted to go 4K with Atmos and this reciever does it all! Has tons of HDMI connections and easy to set up!

My last receiver, a Harmon Kardon, was stuck in a firmware update that I could not fix so it was time to replace. This receiver is far superior to the HK. The CEC works flawlessly and the Airplay is amazing. It also has Bluetooth connectivity should I need it and calls of expanding into another room or even to outside speakers. Couldn't be happier, I just wish I would've upgraded years ago instead of putting up with the lousy HK AVR1700.

It is worth the money this is my second Onkyo product and it lives up to its name. Great sound easy setup with a ton of features.

Everything worked perfect right out of the box and it sounds great. It's had two updates by wireless, which went perfect. I love the wireless network feature. Never a problem connecting to my home network NAS. Pandora streams nicely without any problem. Very satisfied so far. Hopefully, the hardware problems that Onkyo has had are in the past. Best Buy was terrific about price matching even though "technically" they didn't need to.

I had an Onkyo tx-606 for the last 10 Years and was very good, however due to a new smart T.V., I needed to update. This one was recommended, and I have not been disappointed!

Finally a high quality well thought out reciever with versatility and room to grow. Especially useful for people with lots of external gadgets. Just plug the reciever into the TV with one HDMI Cable and the optional optical audio wire and everything else gets plugged directly into the reciever which has capacity for nearly every type of device imaginable.

Had this receiver a little over two years now and love it. Sound is clean with crisp highs and booming lows, all with no distortion. My setup is 7.1 Dolby Atmos configuration, and the separation from the channels is clear, yet the sound is immersive. Even two-channel stereo is broadened to fill the room better than any receiver I’ve had prior. Highly recommend this Onkyo receiver.

This system is the very best system I have ever heard with 2 separate channels for sub woffers is the most amazing sound I have ever heard. My opinion it is the best receiver on the market today. The price was the best price I found I had researched receivers for two months before I made my purchase. Save time and money this is the right one, you will love it I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this receiver!!!!!

Wow! For what it costs, it's a great unit! Looking to replace a 20 year old technics in my game room, did the research, picked this guy because I've owned Onkyo in the past and been pleased. I purchase a Yamaha a few years ago and it's "ok". This one blows it away! I love the zone 2 feature and use it every weekend for music in my backyard. Its great because can control it with the Onkyo app. If you are looking for a no nonsense receiver that sounds amazing, this one will do perfectly!
