Very happy with this receiver. It was on sale for a great price. Does everything I could want it to do with my 4k tv. I usually get much higher price point reeivers, but decided to try this one out and couldn't be happier.

I went from a Yamaha to this one. The set up was very easy and so far has been a great receiver. It has plenty of power to run all of my speakers and produces great sound. Adjustments are a breeze and menu navigation is very user friendly.

It's a decent receiver for the price that I got this for since it was on clearance at the store since it was last year's model. It has a nice enough GUI interface when you output it to the television. The device replaced my Denon AV-1000 device which was nice although it had that older iPhone 4 look to it. The old one still works, but it didn't have the bluetooth ability to connect to your phone and this one features easy to use and access buttons on the front. A few too many for the average person, but good amount to have good control over the main features of the device. I have only had it for a short time and it's great so far and it connect faster on the HDMI connects over my previous stereo. Good features for expansion although I didn't need the 7.2 and only using the full 5.1 of the receiver.

I am really enjoying the quality of sound. Easy to set up with AccuEQ acoustic calibration function and also easy to use. Only thing I don't like is there is some delay of sound when I link it by Bluetooth from my phone.

I've had a few receivers in my adult life (43 now), upgrading as technology has evolved and budget has allowed. This receiver let me jump to HDMI qnd 4k pass through, which mattered to me. The onscreen setup is great, no longer cryptic menus. I also love the single remote with far less buttons--the onscreen menus get you where you need to go easily. It's also very easy to adjust the audio and video to match if there is a slight lag between the onscreen lip movement and sound you hear. Speaking of sound, I am quite satisfied. While I am admittedly not an audiophile (I'm still just doing a 5.1 setup with Andrew Jones Pioneer speakers), this receiver sends sound as accurately as I need to those speakers. Bottom line, after having had it a few months, I'd but again.

I haven’t had it hooked up very long but so far I really like it. Setting it up was easy. The microphone capability to set up the surround sound was nice but I still had to go back and fine tune the sound. I may come back and update the review if things change.

This was an upgrade to my existing Onkyo so I can get all the 4K setup. I got a pretty good price deal since it was on a deal of the day. I like the easy on screen setup features and many extra options to how you want to hear the sound.

So far so good, I’ve been pretty surprised by the sound quality of this receiver. I have it setup as a 5.1.2 right now with Polk T-50’s left and right, a Polk T-30 center,a Polk PSW 108, which I plan on adding another!!!, 2 old “like from 1993”Sony bookshelf speakers for Left and Right surround and 2 Klipsch RIC-65 ceiling speakers for Dolby Atmos and DTS !!!! Let me tell you it sounds fantastic,!!! I have a small place and it rocks it well . My upstairs neighbors were impressed by the Quality of the sound bleeding into their apartment.During set up I did have a flaw that is the opposite of what most people have, that is I lost video but had sound ... But I resolved it in about 15 minutes.... I’ve had it a month now and I think all the speakers are broken in and it does sound great!!!

Replaced an old pioneer receiver. The set up was very easy. Just followed the instructions on screen. Being abke to test and increase the sound coming out of each individual speaker is a great feature. Have a 4k samsung tv and this pairs great with it.

Easy to set up and tons of features. Great sound quality better and smaller remote than my old Denon. Only feature I wish it had was a pass thru like Denon uses if you dont want to use surround. Otherwise its perfect.

    Onkyo DELIVERS

After I recently upgraded to a Bose Acoustimass 10 Series 5, my 14 year old Onkyo receiver could not support the speaker system. It was right around Thanksgiving and I found this jewel. Though discontinued by Onkyo now, this set has EVERYTHING that you can think of to support latest AV needs. On top of everything, this receiver supports Dolby ATMOS which is a rare at this price point. After I connected my Bose with this receiver, the definition of sound brought out a whole different meaning for me. With 210 watts of power per channel and a great app that lets control the receiver thru wireless - this is one of the best thing your money can buy. Well done Onkyo! I am ready for at least another decade of flawless audio.
