Looked long and hard for a mid-priced receiver that would replace our 20 year old stereo system and move us into the home theater world. This receiver does a great job, sound quality and feature set are excellent and really all most people need. We are very happy with it. Only with it had a better way of handling a second set of speakers for stereo sound in another room instead of treating them as another "zone" and all the work required to make the second set work.

For the most part I’m happy with this receiver. Like with any electronic there are a few little glitches but nothing that can’t be fixed or dealt with. The biggest deal is Onkyo have separate Phono input which is a big deal if you enjoy vinyl or if you just want to get started listening to music the way it was meant to be heard, on vinyl, almost no other corps puts them on their receivers especially in the $500 n under price range, so there’s no need for a preamp or anything, just plug n play. all in all it’s a good receiver for the amount of money. If you are looking for a loaded, clean sounding receiver/Home theatre main for under $500 You will not find better than this

First receiver I owned was an onkyo- still have it- and returned to the brand after several sony purchases. Excellent receiver for the money- love the atmos sound with my 4k dvd player and tv, surround sound is clean and intense! Drives my subwoofer to room shaking levels...love old dvds with the thx intro! Have the 2nd zone run to a pair of outside bose speakers and love the sound. What really rules is the onkyo app which controls the receiver and both zones from my back deck! I love the receiver and the price! Plus setup with the included mic was a breeze.

This had an easy set up with a microphone. The surround is amazing, and I don’t have all available speaker ports used. Awesome piece of equipment!

I am very impressed by the lower , sound quality and eae of use and set up. Plus it supports all the latest tech like Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision.

Great receiver with easy setup. It has incredible features for it's budget pricing. l've always had great experience with Onkyo receivers.

I have tried several units within the past few years! This one succeeds everything we have tried. I love it. No problems with this at all!

Easy to Navigate. On screen setup is nice. Compatabile with my old Speakers and new television. I love the new flux capacitor feature.

Not at 10/10 but definitely a solid 8/10. Works 97% but occasionally, the audio may cut out.

Overall it was easy to setup and the sound is really clear. The surround sound calibration mic was easy to use too.

Easy to control and switch modes. Controls all my in ceiling speakers with even power. Very happy with purchase!!

This is my 3rd Onkyo and I am never disappointed. Great sound and easy to use. Love the blue tooth capability.

I love my new Onkyo receiver. I did not realize everything it was capable of doing when I purchased it but when I had the Geek Squad replace this receiver with an older one the installer showed me everything it was capable of doing. I love that my CD's and the music from my XM radio sounds so much clearer. I would highly recommend this receiver to anybody that is looking for a first rate receiver.

I always admire Onkyo for its superior quality being a proud owner over 2 decades.I am always amazed the way onkyo’s always evolved and evolving being top notch top of the game till now towards the 4k era and still more to go. As always am stunned with the recent receiver I bought from Best Buy. Makes my media room spectacular highly complimenting with its immaculate Quality

The Onkyo has lots of options, almost too many. Interface is ok, doesn't support AirPlay 2 and the Airplay 1 apparently buffers and doesn't play well with my other speakers. Also using with remote speakers some sound sources won't play simultaneously on all speakers, how weird. Would like less options and easier config.
