Upgraded from an old TX-NR656. Opened up a whole new world for us! Set up as 5.1.4 for Atmos/DTS x. Sounded so much better than our old receiver. Then I ran the included Dirac live to configure it for the room. It was like getting another upgrade on top of the new receiver. I highly recommend if you are looking to step up from an entry level receiver.

Love this one I switched from the 7.2 channel and I am very pleased with this one from set up and sound quality is great!

This is my first receiver purchase since the mid 90's and back then I bought an Onkyo so I was happy to see that they are still around and making good reasonably priced electronics. I am still trying to figure out Dirac Live but I love the eARC option for connecting to my TV. Lip movement is almost perfectly synced with sound. All components plug into the AVR and from there everything can be controlled by the component remote or the AVR Remote. The only issue I am having is when I turn the system on, it wants to default to Roku or the blu ray player rather than my Tivo which I use most of the time. I am very happy with the purchase.

Great receiver , plenty or power. It works well with my klipsch speakers.

Very happy overall. Previously had the RZ 50 and the HDMI panel died. Hoping this doesn’t happen to the RZ 30. Sound quality is on point. Good value at this price. Picked up on sale.

Great receiver! This one is replacing my Onkyo TX-NR809 that still worked but couldn’t adequately support my new Formovie projector or Blu-ray player. I reviewed a number of receivers in the same class as the Onkyo RZ30 as replacement to my NR809 but the RZ30 offered me the biggest bag per dollar by a large margin.

It has great power and sounds great. I have had a few issues with connections when going back to TV after playing Bluetooth but I very well could be user error.

Bought this to replace an older Sony that died after 20 years. Looked at the reviews and they were really good. It had all the newer modern sound fields and allowed me to upgrade to a 7.2 system with expandability in the future. Setup was a bit of a pain but I got it working. After 2 weeks the sound would just stop and I would have to turn the receiver off to get it back. Then about a week later I would lose the config in the eArc and have to the clear the config on the device and redo it. After it happened 3 times and a few calls to customer support I retuned the unit. I bought a Sony AN1000 instead and am much happier.

I was able to do more speakers with the new receiver.

I enjoy the Onkyo products and their continue support for quality sound and performance.

Great features and great sound! Fairly easy to set up.

Excellent receiver for IMAX DOLBY VISION and Bluetooth connection

This was an upgrade from my previous Pioneer Elite AVR and its an upgrade in every way. This is perfect for Atmos movies but haven't had time to take advantage of the IMAX features as of yet. I highly recommend this if you're on the fence of getting a new higher end AVR.

Excellent receiver. It's replacing an older Onkyo and I felt it was time to modernize especially since the price had dropped.

Difficult to find balanced sound. DIRAC setup leaves sound extremely flat and low volume. Dialog sound is muted. Am constantly tweaking to find the the sweet spot,

Receiver has been great. Watched John Wicks motorcycle chase and girlfriend complained it sounded like they were in the room with us.

Great product would buy again. Loved the geek squad support on finding the right need!
