This is the worst. If you are not a techie people don't buy this. It will constantly disconnect and there so many issues that happen. The support is really bad they just keep saying to reboot the box.

I had Vonage. Ooma was simpler to install and does everything expected for less than half the monthly cost. If you need a home phone, this is a great buy. Plus I can ask Alexa if I have voicemail, and to dial numbers for me.

all is good. if using one of the ooma choice of telephone #s, be sure to test to call out and receive. we chose a # that still was owned by a company - but ooma was quick to change setup for us.

I cannot tell the difference between Ooma and cable phone quality. They do hit you with an extra $40 fee to keep your number. I look at it as an extra 2 months before I break even.

Nice option to transfer an existing phone number to an ip phone but the setup and cost are somewhat prohibitive. I would probably not use this as other options are less expensive and easier to setup and use.

I have not had any problems with Ooma. We have one at our work as well. It's a little less than $4 per month for our area, which is way cheaper than what the cable companies want to charge.

Love not having a ridiculous phone bill every month. Just pay local taxes and I’m still have the same phone service you would with any of the major phone companies.

Switched my carrier from Verizon to Ooma. So far so good, some minor glitches but clarity is great and I have phone service all over country. Only have system for 3 weeks so have not received bill yet

I needed to replace my house phone from wired to wifi using my cable internet. It works great and is a lot less than the phone service from the cable company.

I wonder why anyone would buy another stainless steel appliance without being smudge-proof also getting the larger capacity fridge is only slightly more, a all around good choice.

Replacing Vonage device. Their customer service helped with installation issues quickly. The portage fee seemed high, but the overall cost will be better

There apparently was a bad batch of Ooma boxes with a bug in them. My first one was one was one of them. My sister also got a bad one. Fortunately, I was able to talk to a level 2 tech who quickly diagnosed the issue and instructed me to exchange it, New box was the TeloAir and works correctly.
I would recommend with the caveat that you might get a bad unit that needs to be exchanged

This stacks up well against Vonage, with only a minimal fee for taxes, etc. If you just want a home line (for example, I get lousy cell service at home) this is a great backup.
