First ultra short throw

This is my third projector and my first ultra short throw projector ,color accuracy is great, black levels aren’t as good on this as they are on my TV but I think that will improve once I get an ultra short throw screen. The sound on the projector is good but I’ve decided to put a surroundsound system on it. Once I get a ultra short throw screen I think I will have the full potential of this projector looking forward to it. At this point I am more than satisfied with my purchase.

Remarkable Screen Brightness and Clarity but extra

If you want an ultra4k projector with 3D DLP Link settings then this is for you. One thing I did not realize from the picture is just how long and heavy this projector is. Put it on a solid tv tabke and move it to where the picture is larger than the screen by a little. It works on my 120inch screen just fine. The actual os of the tv is not good(-1) so be sure to plug in a 4K streamer like roku or chromecast. Two HDMI Ports go to HDCP 2.2 and there is a side hdmi port that goes to HDCP 1.4. The remote is solid metal rechargable but as small as a firetv remote with as limited buttons. The remote is easy to lose and tge actual white text on the remote got rubbed off after 1 month. Remarkable Screen Brightness and Clarity but extra functions are lacking completeness.

Great projector but app capability is lacking.

Picture is clear and a great value compared to 4K TVs that would be of comparable size. The smart capability is lacking though. I would only use as a projector and use some other device for streaming. The sound was just ok, so I would suggest still getting a soundbar or speaker set up. 4 stars because the projector image itself is great but not much else. The smart screen fit was surprisingly easy to use and made fitting to my screen a simple task.

Do NOT buy the Optoma P2 projector!!

After only 18 months, this projector lost a pixel located very near the center of the screen. Once seen, I could not "unsee" it. Best Buy made me a VERY generous offer to trade in the Optoma for a new Samsung SP-LSP9TFAXZA. Best deal EVER. The Samsung is twice the price BUT every extra penny is there.....better picture, WAY more features and a very quick boot-up time.
Apparently, Optoma has stopped production of the P2 projector. Makes one wonder why doesn't it?

The UST works very well and has a solid sound to it. The only down side is the 3k lumens is a challenge in a well sun lit room. Shows great at night.

Read reviews for months and months, this fit my budget and I am beyond ecstatic! It’s incredible.
Only advise I have is that at this price point get a decent screen, otherwise spend a little less and get a screen.
Picture is only half the experience in my opinion, the other half is a combination of quality audio and screen.

Recently bought this to replace my overhead projector. I moved and needed a new solution for my new theater room. This UST is awesome, and easy to setup. The on board smart system isn't the best. I use a receiver and chrome cast for my setup. That works like a champ. Definitely would recommend this to everyone.

The Image is very good, but impossible to setup because it requires the app and app is simply crashing. Don't get how can they expect this unit to stay

Keeps dropping HDMI connection

Bought this unit because of awards and positive reviews. Unfortunately this unit keeps dropping the HDMI connection, especially during DVD playback. According to some online sources these UST projectors have handshake issues with some high end atmos receivers. Secondly, there is no pre-amp out jack to use the built in speakers as a center channel in a surround sound setup. And this complicates the setup process because placement of a dedicated center channel speaker may obstruct the project image. I'm using a UST approved 110' screen, and thus far the projected image quality with 4k UHD has been satisfactory, but not impressive. Overall, I think the features of the UST projectors outweigh the standard/overhead projectors used in the past, but I cannot recommend this unit due the ongoing HDMI issues described.

Now I think, I should have spend little more and gotten LG.
Pictures/Video Quality is ok.
APP IS THE WORST THING 0 OUT OF 10.
I end up buying Ruku so I can use app from Ruku now problem with that, I can't use my sound system because the Video and sound dosen't go together. There is few sec lag so i had to go by whatever sound system it has. Not a happy customer. Will not receiving this for sure.
