The image quality of this projector is very good. Sharp and bright at 1080p, even in the daytime. It will be better if you use it in darker room without lights on. No lens shift is a huge disadvantage and it makes you have to put it in a very specific place to get the optimal result. Also, HDMI is the only option for input. I returned it after trial.

I've only used this outside on a 14 foot screen. It looks great and the whites were very white and the blacks black very vibrant. It did need to be 20mins or so after sunset for this to have enough light to work though. While the projector does have it's own sound it's not worth using. I had mine connected to a receiver with surround sound and worked great. When I look to the right or left while looking at the screen I could notice the rainbow or color separation of the projector light but it wasn't bad but it was there thus 4 out of 5 stars. My family who did not know to look for that didn't mention any issues and they liked it.

The picture quality is great! Easy set up and a fair amount of options for picture color settings. The best part is that this thing is quiet compared to the epson I had. I run my iMac through it to basically just watch Netflix. I also have my Xbox one hooked to it to. Switching between the two is flawless.

We previously had an optoma movienite projector, Optoma told me that this was the best replacement. It is! Easy to use, good sharp image, and very bright. Bright enough to use in daytime hours, although it's much better when the ambient light is lower. We had previously tried some other brands, but the image was too small for our room.

This projector is very nice. I’m happy with the clarity of the picture. The HD is really clear. I would purchase it again.

For the price this projector is the best. we use this on the front porch of our island home at night

Was looking to upgrade from 70" HDTV to projector. Did a little research and saw unless you want 4K; this projector will do everything. 3d looks good and picture quality is amazing. The kiddos love it and the parents too

The image is sharp and bright. You can easily see it even in day light, though much better when lights are off. No lens shift, so you don't have much room to place it other than in the center. Only HDMI connection, which limits its usage. I returned after a week.

I was a little skeptical before purchasing this projector but Best Buy offers 15 day return policy. So I decided to give it a try and put in my order. There were none available in store so that was a bummer. Took about a week to get it shipped to the store. Once I took it home and unpacked the contents I was pleased to find out how easy it was to set up. The boot up screen was a little misleading as it was kind of blurry and dim. I used a firestick as the video source and once the screen displayed the source I was very pleased. The projector is displayed on an off white wall and is still has a good clarity. I will eventually purchase screen paint for the area designated for projection but as of now I'm very satisfied!

Using for my office and it works well even in well lit environment. Wireless capability would be helpful

I love this projector. The picture is so clear and the sound is fantastic. We love using it for family night. It is super easy to use. I would highly recommend this projector to anyone.

The picture this produces is great. It's all black, and pretty sleek looking. The two issues I have are 1) it's not the quietest. It's also not the loudest I've had. But at times you will notice the fan hum. 2) when switching between devices it freezes up sometimes. I have to switch 1or 2 times to get it working right. That being said, it's still worth it. The picture quality is great and the screen size is awesome.

My husband and I love going to the movies and we thought it would be an awesome idea to have our own movie theater in our apartment! Picture looks fantastic, and very easy to install!

I have no complaints, 1080p is just right. The projector is plenty bright and has auto on/off features so you don't need the remote all the time. It will also scan the two HDMI ports to find one that is active if you want to do that. It has a built in speaker that is good for presentations but you should upgrade to surround if you want to watch movies. There are only 2 HDMI ports but there are lots of options for switching which happens automatically in many sound systems. Nothing like playing the PS4 on a 150 inch screen with full surround sound. Games like Battlefield 1 really come to life. I don't know why more people don't use projectors.

Had read GLOWING reviews on it's 3D Performance- but we did NOT think it would be THIS good! We own over 150 BluRay 3D Movies, and with our 67" Samsung LED/DLP Rear Projector going on TEN Years old, we were getting nervous what we would do if IT died, so with 3D being. DESTROYED by the powers that be we NEEDED an "insurance policy"! THIS Projector met ALL the parameters- EVERYONE that sees it is just BLOWN AWAY with the image. Unfortunately our 6 pairs of Glasses we. had for the old set DO NOT work with THIS Projector. We've already got 4 NEW pair- luckily these will NOT cost $900 THIS time ! SATISFIED!

This is my second Optoma projector and I'm very pleased with it. It's got an amazing picture right out of the box. The only downside was it has a much shorter throw than my last projector and I had to move the ceiling mount much closer to the screen. It also seems to take a little longer to find the signal when I switch from one Gizmo to another. It's such a fantastic picture though any negatives I've found are not enough to break the deal. Just fabulous images for the price...

This projector is great. Hooking it up was simple, instructions on screen were simple enough I didn't even need the book. Excellent purchase, can't wait to try 3D.

The projector is awesome. I love the picture quality. I originally bought it to watch a boxing match outside with a blow up screen. The picture was so clear and now I am planning to use it inside with a 100 inch projector screen. love the product.

Excellent picture and bright colors on this unit. Optoma is a brand I've used for many years as far as projectors go. Great price for a great unit. You won't be disappointed.
