    Issues with signal

This projector was easy to install and the setup was OK, however I had issues when using HDMI 2.0 and trying to watch 4K. Sometimes I could watch fine, sometimes at random loosing signal and re-syncing every 1-2 min, which was annoying. Tried different cables and same problem. On HDMI 1.4 I had no problem so I assumed it was something wrong with the port not particularly the cable. I decided to exchange the projector and see If the problem would persist. Exchanging this particular model is not simple because it’s always sold-out. BestBuy doesn’t seem to restock often that model, so I decided to go with UHD30, which is the same but with no vertical lens shift, making it more inflexible for mounting. Regarding picture, uhd50x has a bright picture quality, definitely worth the 4K, not so much the hdr, gaming is nice, didn’t notice lag on normal mode, didn’t like the game mode because the quality of picture is much worse. Optoma should change the cheap looking remote- it’s also so bright I could use it as a flashlight. I will return to review the uhd30 when it arrives, it takes about a week to ship it right now

    Best money ever spent!

This is a fantastic projector. Definitely a fantastic upgrade from my previous 720p Epson HomeCinema Projector. Some may feel intimidated to spend such money on a projector like I was but this was more affordable than other 4K projectors. The colors are vibrant, the bulb is extremely bright, and the image is so freaking clear and sharp. I initially bought a 75inch 4K Samsung tv to use in our garage but soon after bought this as well and now we use this more than the big tv! Especially if you pair this with a nice affordable surround sound system, you can feel completely immersed and it’s becomes your new stay at home movie theater. All we do is watch movies and tv shows so believe me when I say it’s 100% worth every penny. Plus gaming on this projector is also Epic!

Let me start by saying this is my first projector. I've been waiting for one with excellent movie and game playing capabilities. This projector did not disappoint. The 4K HDR picture is amazing. Like most projectors, the picture looks best with minimal ambient light but even with the lights on, the picture still looks good. Playing games on my XBox One look and play great in enhanced game mode. I do notice the lag, if I am not playing in that mode. I purchased DLP-Link 3-D glasses and that also looks amazing.

I finally retired my Panasonic 1080 P projector and made the jump to 4k. I can't wait to get my Xbox series x and put this pj through its paces. Only complaint is when I set it up, this projector was less flexible to setup than my 10 year old Panasonic. I had to move my mount 4 feet closer to the screen. Not cool.

Bought this primarily for outdoor viewing and gaming. This is my first projector in a long time, but was very pleased with image quality, motion, etc.
