Inaccurate Specifications for this Model

Specs say it is 17.4" in length, depth 11" and height 9.5. Instead, it is 15" long, 7" in depth and 8" in height. It is terribly undersized for the money and not worth $39.95. I called Oster and they said they are getting a lot of complaints about wrong dimensions on their products (FYI: Oster is owned by Sunbeam now...this may explain things).

Outside gets too hot

The whole outer case gets very, very hot. It's hard to remove tray because there isn't a spot other than the black handle that can be touched. Also, the blue number etc. by the temp and time knobs are a very, very light blue and shiny and cannot be seen. I'm not satisfied with it.

I purchased this unit on the 12May2014. In mid-October, it refused to shut off. I had to unplug it and have had to do so since. I have tried to call Oster multiple times since they do not respond to emails and their number says they are open Mon-Fri from 9A-6P EST but that does not seem to be true since I just got that message at 3:45P CST which is only 4:45P EST. Not even 6months and it's dead, plus no customer service, complete waste of money

You have to adjust two dials, move from time to no time, then select another dial to toast. Tray is very "tinny". Would NEVER recommend or buy again. Heating element is fine but it's a pain to use. I just don't want to think so much about "toasting" bread.
