my kids enjoy watching me flip the waffles without mess

Probably too late to review since it is discontinued. It will take 4 minutes to cook waffle all the way. Don't rely on the light.

The Good: great idea. Sturdy and seems well built all around. The Bad: Getting a full size waffle is a miracle. It will either overflow on one end or never reach. You get HALF a waffle if the pancake mix won't rise all the way giving you this... The Ugly: ...monstruous looking piece of surprisingly edible food that looks like a pancake Paul Bunyan stepped on with his work boots. The Summary: Just get Eggo Waffles and save yourself the kitchen storage space.

This maker doesn't make good waffle even cook longer than what it said. The inside of the waffle still raw. I would not recommend this product.

I've used my waffle maker twice and it make good Waffles. Would have liked to cook a little faster but it gets the job done.

I liked the depth of the waffles that came from this unit. Alas it was short lived. The plastic hinge that allowed the unit to rotate broke off within 2 weeks of use, rendering it useless.

I was so excited to use this for the first time; however, it was a HUGE let down! I read all of the instructions thoroughly before using, but that didn't seem to matter. As soon as I plugged it in it began to smoke and then the light shut off and it would not turn back on again after that. Now it is just sitting on the counter useless and taking up space. I purchased this in November but did not open it to use it until recently and now the return timeframe is long gone! Not happy!

Worked great the first few then the locking mechanism broke on the handle and everything sticks to it now.

Very bad design, and poor construction. The mechanism by which the iron is allowed or prevented from flipping over is two pins, one in the base pointing up, and one in the lid pointing down. The pin in the lid must push the pin in the base down in order for the iron to flip over. But both pins have convex curved surfaces at their tips so they just push each other aside, instead of straight down, and then the iron can't flip. The hinge at the back of the iron is poorly made also. It is loose, and lets the lid slip laterally. This aggravates the pin issue, as well as allowing the lid enough movement side to side so as to prevent it from lining up with the front "scoop" that it is supposed to rest in, and thus keeping the lid from even closing some of the time. I'm sad that this is so because, as so many others have said, it cooks the waffles wonderfully, but it is just too frustrating to have to mess with. I'm taking it back at the first opportunity.
