It's alright do its money. There better choices obviously more pricy

I first used a grill of this kind with in my friend's house so I decided to buy one. This grill is very easy to use and for the price it gets the job done! It comes with a time knob, which is very practical and it has indicator lights to let you know when its heating . The large hinge system makes it easy to grill sandwiches and thick steaks. It's easy to clean and it comes with a cup to collect the oil that drips on the side. I will give it a 9, from 1-10. It's affordable, easy to use, easy to clean, powerful enough to cook a steak and it's great for sandwiches. Now I base my purchases mostly on reviews so I want to help other people sharing my experience with this grill. I have had no problems with it and I use it almost every day since I bought it almost a year ago.

When I first purchased this product I was overall satisfied. It heated up quickly and was very easy to clean. As long as I was making small sandwiches there was no issue. Today I tried to make a large breakfast sandwich and I was unable to close the lid. Every time you try to close it, the sandwich slides out. This was extremely disappointing.

I bought this as a means to cook hamburger and chicken patties indoors, in the cleanest and healthiest way possible. The Oster Duraceramic Grill is very capable, heats fasts and evenly, and is a good value. However, after less than a week with my unit, the finishes began to stain and/or peel very rapidly. I purchased mine new and unopened from the store. Within the first 2 to 3 uses of cooking chicken, the ceramic finish on the top plate developed black stains that were permanent. No amount of elbow grease was going to clean that off. Additionally, some of the exterior black paint began to start bubbling and peeling after the 2nd use. The ceramic coating on the grill plates quickly showed wear, and in some spots, was removed to show the bare metal underneath. I was overall very disappointed with this grill, and I exchanged it for a slightly more expensive option within Best Buy's assortment. I sure hope that this next one will be more durable.

Okay, let's see here. Lets get the great rating out of the way first. 5 stars all the way for the price. Now let's comment on some of the negative reviews by other customers 1."The surface works so well the food slides right off the grill." What does that tell you? This is a grill and pannini maker not a triple decker grilling machine. Is it possible you stacked it up to the moon and then tried to press down so hard it catapulted the friggin food out? Is it possible you could have taken advantage of the double grilling surface by opening the top so it folded back to create a second grilling surface? Is it possible when making a quadruple decker sandwich you could have grilled the sandwich halves in two stages? This is a $30 dollar convenience machine that works perfect for what it is designed for and not a commercial sandwich press. 2. "My sausages and hot dogs slide right off the grill when pressing." Is it possible you could have sliced them down the middle and made a great sandwich? Also please refer to the comment above. 3. "My grill is hard to clean and has chipped surfaces." Did anyone read the instruction manual? Is it possible you had the temperature too high and charred the food and had no light coating of oil to create a slick cooking surface? Let the unit cool completely, and clean with a wet towel and silicon brush that you can get on Amazon. Is it possible you were using harsh cleaning pads or metal utensils? 4. "The unit had no on off switch, you have to plug and unplug it." You cannot make this stuff up. Maybe you need to unplug your brain from the TV. 5. "The dial had no numbers on it so you cannot tell how high the temperature is." Did you read the manual and follow the recommendation? This is a $30 dollar machine that is designed to exercise your brain a little bit. You want a Fred Flintstone dial or a digital readout you spend more money.

This grill is perfect for a small kitchen! Easy to use, works great!

Well made for this price. It has a ceramic layer and nothing sticks to it. It's very easy to clean. No detergents needed, just a piece of paper towel. Can also be fully opened and used as an electric BBQ.

It works really well and I love the fact it is ceramic so nothing sticks to it, but it is fairly hard to clean. Takes a lot of elbow grease and with the plates not being removable making it quite difficult.

This product is compact and can be stored anywhere when not being used.

Downsizing with this product from a huge Foreman. Works great. Takes some guess work for setting heat range, but doable.
