With the first run motor heated and smoking I returned the product

So, I received this Oster Master Series Blender about a week ago and I must say I’ve been impressed by it very much. It’s so simple and easy to use. Although over the last week I’ve mainly used this stylish blender to make my morning smoothies before heading out the door, but it is as capable of being a food processor to chop up fruits, vegetables, etc. to assist in any meals or drinks you’re preparing in the kitchen. Inside the package: 1. Glass Jar: 6 cup glass jar with a lid and filler cap (which doubles as a 2-ounce measuring cup). 2. Jar Bottom: consist of the seal, blade, and threaded jar bottom with locking lever. 3. Brushed Nickel Base: sleek and polished base with all controls housed front and center. 4. User Manual: very thin which is good, but has all usual info (setup, use, and recipes). Once you have ensured the seal is fully seated at the bottom of the jar base under the blades, attach it securely to the bottom of the glass jar. There is a locking lever on one of the corner posts of the jar bottom that according to pictures in the manual it sits at the back-left slot of the base. Toss in your ingredients choose from the following controls: 1. POWER BUTTON: simple ON/OFF button. 2. FOOD MODE: Smoothie or Food Chop. 3. TEXTURE: Thin, Medium, Thick. 4. START/STOP and PULSE MODE buttons. 5. MANUAL CONTROLS: Low, Medium, or High. As I stated before I’ve mainly used this to make my morning protein smoothies before I head out the door off to work. And in using this blender for smoothies, I tried all 3 settings of Thin, Medium, and Thick. My favorite is Medium, as this too much like a McDonald’s milkshake, and Thin is a bit watered down. But this is merely based on the ingredients I use for my smoothies. YMMV based on what all ingredients you use in your smoothie and what consistency you are looking for. That’s why I love this blender so much because it gives the consumer choice. Another great addition to this blender bundle is the 24-ounce Blend-N-Go Smoothie Cup. Which what I have used all week in carrying with me as I run out the door. It’s easy to carry and fits nicely in my cup holder in my car. It comes with its own drinking lid and connects easily to the threaded jar bottom so that you can blend to your heart’s desire. Overall this is a great blender, once of the best that I’ve tried in a long time that comes with very nice features and accessories like the Blend-N-Go Cup. And not the mention the easy to use options of texture consistency of your smoothies and other food items. Plus, the brushed nickel of the base will ensure that it looks great sitting on your kitchen counter.

Im sad I bought this blender and let the return time expire. This blender cant blend raspberries, leaves chunks in the smoothie. On top of that, its louder than tarmac of most airports during jet take off. Spend an extra 20$ and get one that actually blends.

This blender was good for three times. It won’t work, I tried taking it back to Best Buy they won’t take it back. I wrote to the manufacturer they are not answering my email. So now I’m out the money I paid for it.

Barely used; worked for 1 1/2 years. Does not work now after very lightly used. I will attempt to get replacement or some compensation, considering i am a total tech member

Oster - Master Series Blender - Brushed Nickel This is a solid and stylish unit. The base is stainless steel and the larger main blending unit is a nice heavy glass. Because lighter weight and flexibility make sense for the smaller blend-N-go Smoothie cup with a drinking lid, it’s made of plastic, since you’ll probably carry it around with you as you drink your smoothie. The blender comes with good documentation that explains the unit’s elements and operations. It also includes a number of recipes. There are pre-programmed settings. You cycle through the menu and select the program you want. The unit automatically stops after performing your selection. And it also has manual settings for complete flexibility. In addition to the pre-programmed settings, there are manual settings that allow you to control what are called “textile settings” for desired consistency (thin, medium or thick). There are also manual settings for Low, Medium and High. Finally, there’s a “Pulse” button to allow you to start and stop for handling things like crushing ice. I first tried the recipe for the Peachy Green Smoothie. I layered the ingredients in the same order as the recipe. However, I discovered that the light baby spinach, which was the next-to-last ingredient (honey was last), ended up floating on the top and didn’t seem to want to get blended. Once pushed down, it worked just fine. So my recommendation is to put the lightest ingredients on the bottom and the heavier ingredients on the top for best results. Next came the Very Berry smoothie which I made using the smaller blend-and-go cup. In this case, the recipe specifically instructs you to add the ingredients in the exact order listed. Doing that ended up with the heaviest ingredients on the top which worked out just fine. I tried a number of other things, and the blender performed flawlessly. This is an excellent kitchen addition which will most likely have you experimenting with your own recipes. Be creative! I know that’s what I’ll be doing. Highly recommended.

The Oster - Master Series Blender does everything a blender at this price point should do and a bit more. We can say it cleans up very well, makes smoothies, well smooth... My girls love using it because it easy to operate, easy to clean, and it looks good. If you're in the market for a quick no fuss to work, gets the job done blender, this is it. Also, the fit and finish shows that it is a quality blender, and it operates with minimal effort. I highly recommend it.

If you're looking for a simple blender, that takes some of the guesswork out of making a smoothie, this might be what you want. This is a nice no-nonsense blender that makes it easy to make a smoothie by just selecting the consistency that you want. Of course, the other half to this equation is what you put into your smoothie, but I'm all for anything that makes my life a little bit easier by taking out some of the guesswork in the kitchen. The blender varies the speeds, and time at each speed for the various smoothie settings to get the desired consistency. What I didn't realize that it also comes with a to-go travel mug. You put your smoothie ingredients in it, screw the blade to the top, turn it upside-down to attach to the blender, blend, turn it right side up, take the blade off, and screw the drink top on. Done. A nice extra add-on that comes with this blender.

The Oster - Master Series Blender - Brushed Nickel is a smaller and lighter weight kitchen device than most other blenders, juicers and food processors. The base motor is lighter weight than the 6 cup glass jar. The lightweight does not diminish the quality of the desired outcome of the food processing. I am able to set the texture of my food from thick to thin. I can make my smoothies automatically by using the preset buttons. Speeds can vary from high, medium and low to get the correct consistency. Cleaning the Oster - Master Series Blender - Brushed Nickel is as simple as taking the jar assembly apart and washing and drying the parts. The Oster - Master Series Blender - Brushed Nickel is perfect for making smoothies, juices and processing fruits and vegetables.

This Oster blender has a powerful 800 watt motor and comes with a blend-n-go cup. It allows you to select textures from thick to thin. In operation, I found it to be very quiet and easy to use in making several different smoothies.

This blender packs more punch than I thought it would. While it’s not like the higher end blenders it gets the job done and that’s what’s important. I like it for the everyday use. I mix protein shakes daily and this blender comes in handy. No chunks left behind when using fruits and vegetables in my shakes. The price makes it all the more better. You won’t be disappointed with this blender. The included cup is a nice addition also. It’s so much easier blending shakes directly without having to use a shaker cup.

This blender works great! Every morning I make a vitamin superfood smoothie, and this makes a beautifully smooth, easy to drink smoothie. In the evenings toss in a scoop of ice and your favorite cocktail mix and voila! The makings of a nice evening! This also makes great chunky salsa. Two vine ripe tomatoes, a tomatillo, jalapeño, cilantro, half a yellow onion, and a squeeze of lemon. Three pulses later, perfect salsa! Motor worked like a champ and had no issues meeting the challenges of ice or veggies.

It's built extremely well, with a nice compact footprint. The pitcher is made out of solid glass, not cheap plastic, so it has this assuringly hefty feel to it. In practice, it worked well at making fruit smoothies using frozen fruits. It doesn't do as good of a job at making smooth smoothies as some of the other more expensive mixers I have, but as long as the proportions are kept lower, it does a good enough job. I really like the single-serve cup, which is a great, quick easy way to make up a smoothie that is just for one person. I put a cup of water in it, dumped in enough frozen fruit to fill it up to the 16-ounce mark, selected "smoothie" and "thin" texture and a minute later had a good smoothie that fit in one of my travel cups. There is a smoothie option, a food chop option, and a manual mode. The smoothie and food chop option allow the user to select from "thin," "medium," or "thick" when it comes to what the end result will be. I like thin smoothies so I use that option. I used the food chop mode with the "thick" option selected to make a beautiful and tasty garden salsa using Roma tomatoes, cilantro, onion, and jalapeno. All in all, its a great little blender, with smoothie and food processing capabilities. It looks nice on the counter with its polished nickel look (like stainless steel) and has an all-glass pitcher.

The Oster Master Series Blender is phenomenal! It come sin an easy frustration free packaging to quickly allow you to setup. I loved how it included the mini shaker blender that fit right on to the main unit! If you are looking for a device that will blend chop up anything, this is it! I was able to make my shakes quickly on the go then make beverages on the weekends seamlessly! I put the device through its paces and the blades are very durable and motor and product are solid quality build!

We occasionally make fresh salsa and gazspacho. For years I've struggled to get the ingredients chopped up and mixed without pureeing them. Usually I pulse or chop in short bursts and visually it looks like nothing much is happening and then suddenly it's pureed with absolutely no texture. I've made 2 batches of salsa using the thick setting and it automatically makes perfect chunky salsa and automatically stops on its own. I can't wait to try my gazspacho recipe with this. We've made perfect smoothies with the smoothie setting as well as other frozen drinks. I noticed that this blender has a third pair of blades that my past blenders have not had, perhaps that's the secret. Modern technology has done a lot of things, but I never expected a blender that takes the human error out of chunky salsa.

My favorite thing about this blender is the easy control for thick/thin smoothies! Makes it very quick to get exactly what I want out of the blender when I'm in a hurry in the morning. Likewise depending on my ingredients this fits the bill perfectly! Kids also love the fruit smoothies we're now dishing out at home :) I'm also very appreciate of the "blend in" cup, allowing me a no-fuss no-mess way to create my morning drinks.

Attractive on your counter but easy enough to pick-up and put away if necessary. Lightweight base, solid glass pitcher. Has 3-speeds, pulse, and 3 texture settings - not an overwhelming number of buttons. No need trying to guess which buttons to use with the simple control panel that does everything you need. Only downside - when making a "smoothie" with frozen fruit, had to remove lid frequently to push fruit onto blades because unit smelled "hot"

I purchased this product and loved it at first, however from the very beginning I could smell a burnt smell coming from the motor. After using it a few times I noticed smoke coming directly from the vents and a severe burnt smell from the vents. It blended great for about three times, and the last time it hardly worked. I immediately returned it.
