Customers are delighted by the RapidCrisp Digital Air Fryer Oven's ease of use, compact size, and effective air frying capabilities. Many appreciate its sleek design and precise temperature control, although some users find the buttons somewhat unresponsive and wish for an interior light. A few also mentioned the power cord could be longer. Overall, the positive feedback on ease of use and cooking performance outweighs the minor concerns about certain features.

I've had several kettle-type air fryers for the past few years. The biggest problems I had were they just air fried and it was hard to do a full family meal in them because there were small. That is no longer a problem.
The Oster RapidCrisp Digital Air Fryer Oven is more than just an air fryer. It's also a toaster, oven, convection oven, broiler, defroster, dehydrator, and great at making small pizzas. On top of that, it has a much higher capacity than my old kettle air fryers.
I've used it for everything from making pizzas, pizza rolls, chicken tenders, and chicken cordon blu to frozen apple turnovers, and of course french fries. (From frozen and from scratch) It did a fantastic job of cooking everything. It also did it in a fraction of the time it would have taken in the oven. It typically preheats in less than 5 minutes and can cut the baking time by as much as 50% for some of the foods that I made.
The air fryer has a rotary control know that controls which of the 9 preset functions you want to use, A set of membrane buttons allow you to set the cook-time, temperature/toast shade, as well as starting and canceling operations. It comes with an air fryer basket, a baking pan, a wire rack, and a pull-out crumb catcher. All of those items are dishwasher safe.
Now, the drawbacks. Mine was damaged when I received it. It was loud, had a screw that fell out, the baking pan was damaged, and the door hinges weren't tight. Oster replaced the unit and the new one had none of these issues. It does still have some minor design issues. First, the unit should have a light in it. It can be difficult to see the progress of the food, without opening the door and letting heat out. Second, the power cord is very short. An extra foot or 2 would be a fantastic change. Third, when air frying, you are supposed to put the fryer basket on top of the baking pan. This restricts the air circulation in the unit and can cause uneven cooking. I tend to put it on the wire rack instead. Last of all is the buttons. Many devices use membrane buttons that are round and give you sensory feedback that it has been pressed. This one has completely flat buttons printed on it. They can be difficult to press and it takes a lot of getting used to.
Overall, I really like the fryer and its ability to cook a whole family portion of food at one time. While it does have a number of design issues, I can still recommend the unit, especially at the price they offer it at.

In this house, we’re all big fans of air fryers. They take room on your counter shared by other gadgets such as toasters, but they are simple to use and faster than bigger ovens. As for the extra room, this Oster RapidCrist oven can replace a lot of those other gadgets and does so very well. That saved precious room on our counter.
As for functionality, the dial button to change function works well. It is not as pretty as it should be, but it is useful. I like it better than the buttons to change time and temperature. In fact, the main complaint I have about this otherwise excellent air fryer oven, is that the touch buttons are not sensitive enough, requiring you to press them harder than you would expect. Once you get used to it, it is no big deal but I wish Oster had perfected this part because it did bother me.
I found that every single feature worked as designed. With the exception of some frozen chicken thighs that required the addition of a few minutes, everything else came out good the first time. I wish it had more food options to select such as for baking fish, which air fryers can do extremely well, but I was able to come up with a perfect salmon. I must admit that experience with other similar ovens did help me figure out the perfect timing. It worked with pizza even though it didn’t come with an appropriate plate for them. That’s another option I wish you could select. I’m currently trying the dehydrator function, the only one I can’t say much about yet, but it seems that it will work fine. It does look good so far.
Its stainless steel body makes it a nice addition to our kitchen. As I mentioned before, the dial button could have had some design work to match the body material. Still, its not an eye sore and the overall look of this oven is nice and that’s what matters besides its functionality, of which it does a very good job. I would recommend it to friends, although I had a hard time deciding to give it three or four stars, mainly because of the low responsiveness of the touch buttons.

The Oster RapidCrisp Digital Air Fryer Oven is a welcome addition to our countertop. Our ten-year-old toaster oven was on its last legs, and when I read that this unit functions as an air fryer, oven, and toaster, I saw an opportunity to maybe free up some counter space. Trying it out was an easy decision. We have not been disappointed. It is a little taller than the oven it replaces, but it has a surprisingly compact footprint. It’s a good fit. There are nine cooking presets easily selected with a rotary knob. Time and temperature are adjusted using touch controls. There are no physical buttons or membrane switches.
As a toaster, it does a great job. I heats quickly and evenly, and it comfortably accommodates 6 slices from a standard loaf of bread. There don’t appear to be any hot spots while toasting.
As an oven, the results are even more impressive. So far we have baked potatoes, scalloped potatoes, and a frozen pizza, all with excellent results. Reheating leftovers is a breeze and yields great results with foods heated through without drying out.
As an air fryer with foods like French fries and mozzarella sticks, its performance is on par (if not faster) with other air fryers I have used, and the results are crisp and delicious. I can’t wait to try some no-oil-added fried chicken recipes I have been eyeing. The large front glass on the oven makes cooking mozzarella sticks a simple task. Being able to keep an eye on them as they cook is a game changer. No more exploded cheese sticks!
One standout feature of this air fryer vs. other air fryers I have used is the speed of air flow. Air is circulated efficiently to facilitate quick, even cooking, but it is not so fast as to be destructive. Other products I have used have literally blown apart foods (sandwiches) I have placed in their basket and have also blown the seasoning right off of foods. I appreciate that in this air fryer/oven, everything stays put while cooking.
When air frying, the food is placed in a basket that is wide and flat. If a single layer of food is a sufficient quantity, you’re in good shape and cooking is as simple as selecting the Air Fry function and setting cook time. Cooking quantities of food that require stacking is a little trickier, and you’re going to need tongs or a spatula to turn and separate contents. Our other air fryer has a basket that can be removed and the contents tossed to aid in even cooking; I think I might prefer that but not enough to stop using this little gem.
The “Fries” preset works great on standard frozen French fries, but the oven needs to be watched if you’re using a thin or shoestring cut of potatoes. The thinner cuts can get away from you and burn.
The removable tray in the bottom of the oven makes cleanup and disposal of crumbs a breeze. Some drips from cooking foods did stick pretty firmly, but I felt comfortable taking a scrubber to the durable metal tray.
Until you are familiar with its performance as an air fryer and oven, I suggest keeping an eye on your food as it cooks. As mentioned above, it heats quickly and evenly, but it seems that our dishes cook more quickly than we are used to. Perhaps that’s due to the efficient convection airflow? Early on in our experience with the Oster RapidCrisp Digital Air Fryer Oven, the recurring comment is, “Wow, it’s done already?” So far, the results are always pleasing.
Highly recommended!

First off, this combo oven/air fryer has done a good job at everything I've thrown at it. Can't complain about the air fryer option other than it is a bit noisy and it makes the oven itself vibrate/rattle a little bit.
The problem with this unit is 3 fold. One is the size of the oven itself. It is a bit short in width. This comes into play with frozen pizzas. A lot of frozen pizza brands are around 11.5" to 12" across. If you have one that has soft/rising crust, those need to be placed on a pan. The pan that comes with this oven is rectangle and raised around the edges. Therefore an average sized frozen pizza will not lay flat on the pan. There should have been a round pan included.
Second issue is lack of features. No light on this model is a real let down. That should be a standard feature on any decent counter top oven such as this. An even bigger omission, IMO, is the lack of a pre-heat setting. The manual suggests setting the time for several minutes tacked on to the cook time, but this is a hassle. I want the oven to pre-heat to the temperature and notify me that it's ready.
The third issue is the buttons. The buttons are touch style buttons, but they often don't respond when touched. You have to move your finger around some and get to "the spot" where it recognizes the command. This can be a hassle when you are trying to do something like lower or increase the minutes, but the buttons don't respond well.
So while the oven/air fryer performs well enough, it's just a really gimped model and the buttons feel very cheap. I can't imagine if the buttons aren't responding well when it's brand new, then how well will they respond a year from now?

This is a solid counter top oven. Nice large interior, stainless steel exterior, and plenty of functions that help make cooking a little easier. It is genuinely large though so make sure you have enough counter-top space for this beast to move in. Temperature control is consistent and I find it aligns with my full size oven in cook time. I have had counter-top ovens before that cook significantly faster or slower which can make it difficult to use at first until you learn that variance, no burnt food out of the Oster toaster yet. Quality seems good overall, however one place they looked to save money was the lack of interior light. An interior light would have been a great feature on an oven of this size but it is only available on the more expensive model. The selection knob is easy to use for choosing which cooking function you want to use and each setting has its own default time and temperature settings. The touch buttons on the control panel work pretty well but there are times where it wont recognize your input, I hope this doesn't worsen over time or it will become an inconvenience currently its only a slight annoyance. Overall this oven is great if you need to make a whole mess of food for the fam and is easy to use. No complaints I would recommend this to my grandma if she was looking for a new counter-top unit.

Counter top cooking has really increased in my household ever since we got the Oster Rapid Crisp air fryer oven. I’ve owned a range of counter-top appliances, from smokeless grills to quality toaster ovens, and I figured it was finally time to use my first air fryer oven. I’ve always had good luck with Oster, going back as far as I can remember, so I was excited to try this new Oster product.
You have quite a few options to choose from when cooking, along with the air frying capability this oven can toast, bake, broil, dehydrate and be used as a convection oven. The single dial makes everything really easy to select and helps keep things simple to learn right out of the box.
I was truly impressed by the speed in which this appliance cooks using the air fryer setting. French fries actually come out crispy without burning, cookies and brownies cook evenly and I don’t think I’ve ever seen crescent rolls come out so quickly and perfectly done, without having to rotate them on the tray half way through. If you’re looking to shave time off your cooking schedule look no further than this oven from Oster.
Now let’s talk about the one thing I can’t understand, why no inner light? I have a bright kitchen but I still need to see the details of what I’m cooking. I looked everywhere because I thought I was missing something but quickly realized that it just wasn’t a feature. Besides that, this air fryer does a great job.
I love this new counter-top oven from Oster and will recommend it to my family and friends when they come to visit. I also recommend this to anyone who wants a dependable counter-top oven with multiple functions and features.

If you're feeding a family and use your air fryer regularly- then you'll appreciate the size of this fryer. But if you typically toss in just a couple pieces of chicken and some veggies- then opt for a smaller size.
This air fryer is relatively quiet, but takes up a lot of counter space. I haven't figured out if it puts out more smoke than my previous air fryer or it's location/lighting just make it look like like a small forest fire is starting on my counter (that's an exaggeration, but it does make the house noticeably more smokey than other fryers I've used). It leaks oil from the door even if the drip tray isn't full. The poor seal explains the excessive smoke, but according to Google oil leaks are a common problem with oven-door air fryers.
I like that you don't need to preheat the unit. Food comes out crispy every time. Air frying doesn't stop automatically when you open the door and that's taking a little getting used to since the 2 prior brands I tried would automatically shut off when the door opened and resume when it closed.
Dehydrating is at 140 degrees for 8 hours, but I haven't tried the other functions (toast, convect, bake, defrost, fries, keep warm). The touch panel is occasionally unresponsive, but I think cold hands are the culprit and not a defective touch panel.
The smokiness/leaking door are unfortunately going to be dealbreakers for me, but if you're mostly just dehydrating or making pizza - then neither the smoke nor the oil leaking should be an issue.

I have mixed emotions about this air fryer. It does an amazing job as an air fryer. I tried multiple items and they not only crisped up much faster than expected, but they also cooked all the way through. Potato items go from frozen to hot and crispy in minutes. Functions are easy to choose and I really like how it has top and bottom heating elements, plus a separate element dedicated to air frying. This means it truely functions as an air fryer, oven, and toaster, not just one or the other like my previous air fryer/toaster oven combo.
There are a few reasons it is missing that 5th star. The touchpad up/down buttons are a bit finicky with my fingers and completely useless with gloves or oven mits. There is no preheat function, so the manual just says to add an extra 5 minutes to the timer and then assume the temperature is good. That seems a bit odd to me considering it already has a digital control and thermometer. Was it really that hard to program it to know when it is done preheating? Next, up is the crumb tray design. Instead of it sliding straight out, it gets lifted out at an angle through the regular oven door. This means the front, bottom heating element catches anything substantial and pushes it off the tray as I pull it out. Therefore, big crumbs fall off the tray. After making pizza, there was some freshly melted cheese that I wanted to remove before it became stuck. I could not pull the tray out without the cheese hitting the heating element, and it was definitely not safe to reach in and scoop up the cheese prior to the oven cooling down. My previous oven had a tray that slid straight out of a separate slot below the door - no tilting required. At least all of the racks are dishwasher safe, so they are easy to clean. As already mentioned, I made pizza. It is supposedly big enough to handle a 12-inch pizza. I measured the pizza and I measured the oven. It was a really, really snug fit. After everything cooled down, I had to scrape cheese and dough off the back wall and out of the grooves where the rack was placed. I would suggest making a smaller pizza. The last potential issue for some people is the height of the oven. It is designed to be narrow to take up less counter space. Because of that, it is pretty tall. People with low cabinets should measure first to confirm they have enough room for the oven, plus space for ventilation above it.
Would I recommend this to a friend? Yes. Could it have a better design? Yes. I am sure it is perfect for someone. But, it is not the perfect solution for everyone.

Nice oven and seems well built. I’ve been using with almost anything I’m planning to cook. Heats up quickly and doesn’t heat up the entire house. That in it of itself is probably the biggest factor for me as a SoCal resident. The days are pretty hot. The last thing I need is another heat source inside the house.
Semi compact oven, a little on the tall side. But reasonable considering the available space. Measures roughly 15.75”L x 13.25”W x 14.5”H exterior & about 13”L x 12.5”W x 8”H interior. Just slightly taller than my tallest kitchen appliance but easily fits a typical frozen pizza. The presets have worked for mostly anything I’ve used in it, but if adjustments need to be made a simple hold of the button is all it takes. It counts up/down beginning with 1 minute counts until it reaches its first whole number divisible by 10 (ex 10, 20, 30, etc.). Once there it counts in increments of 5 until it reaches the end of the timer.
Included materials felt a bit lacking. I’ve normally come to find a manual with detailed diagrams, instructions on the features and their uses, along with 2 or more recipes that cover each specific feature. The Oster digital air fryer only included 2 recipes. To be fair, it details each and every feature in a section prior.
I only have 2 issues with it.
1)The power cable with this is rather thin and only 2 prong? I’m no graduate in circuitry design but this feels a little off. My Microwave, which uses less juice has a 3 prong. Both are made of aluminum so my only other assumption I can form is that this oven offers better insulation inside? When I measure the difference in wattage between these devices I get 1500w from the wall with the oven set to air fry. Under bake, that drops down to 1250w. The same microwave reads 1200w.
2) The second is the same as mentioned above. The instructions could have been better documented. As they arrive, they feel half baked. They do squeeze them in English, Spanish and French so I suspect this is the primary reason behind this.

Oster - RapidCrisp Digital Air Fryer Oven - Stainless Steel
This Oster toaster oven combines a full size toaster oven, small convection oven, and air fryer all in one. There are multiple presets for an array of cooking needs but I have found that it is more useful to just use those as a starting point and then adjust as needed. Just like all ovens, you need to understand what will cook at what setting and for how long. I have 2 small issues with the unit, the touch buttons are picky. You can’t just press them, or just touch them, in my case I have to place my finger tip flat on the selection before it will move. And then it sometimes moves the wrong way. Something about how my fingers react with the touch buttons does not mesh well. With that aside I have found the “trick” to getting it to work for me. You may not have an issue at all, I think it’s just my fingers, I have issues with my phone as well. The other issue is the door gets very warm. I’m used to my old unit that just had a piece of glass for the door and you kind of knew not to touch the glass. This one has a large stainless steel door with a handle. If you touch the metal of the door, instead of the handle, you’ll notice that it’s very warm to the touch. This is just a learning curve, because it’s small you forget how warm everything is.
This oven replaces a very old toaster oven, one with turn knobs for time and temp, so you were really just guessing at where they were set. With this oven everything is digital. Once you know what temp and how long you need to cook something it is very easy to put those setting back in.
So far, I have used it to air fry onion ring, reheat french fries, and cook beef sticks (think fish sticks, but with beef). I made brownies using the convection oven setting, and used the toast function to make toast. Everything I have made has turned out better than I expected. The footprint of the oven is only about ½” bigger in width and length than my old oven, but about 4 inches taller. All controls are in the top 3 inches of the height. What this means is the inside of the oven is much larger than my old one while not really taking up more counter space. Another thing I really like is the amount of time it takes to “pre heat”, about 1 minute. This is so much better on electricity and heat in the kitchen. You can turn it on to the setting you want and by the time you have the food on a tray to put in, it’s ready.
This is no exaggeration, my full size oven takes 20 minutes to heat up to 400. And by then the kitchen is also heating up. With this toaster oven, just start 1 minute before and your ready to go. I have actually cooked things in it, from frozen to done, before my full size oven would be up to temp.
I am impressed and really don’t see how you could go wrong with this unit.
