Previously I purchased an Otter Box defender which absolutely protects the phone! I dropped my phone multiple times on hard surfaces and the Defender did the trick every time! However, this time around I wanted a cover that was less bulky. Therefore, with this purchase I am going with the Commuter. I do have a slight concern as the Commuters frame is trimmer compared to the Defender. But the commuter passed the test! Yesterday, my phone dropped about two feet onto concrete and all was well!

I’ve been using Otterbox since my first iPhone (about six years ago- 3GS), and the protection is unmatched. Although I like the defender cases, the commuter is great bc you get protection without the bulk (and there are more color options). The black is cool bc it’s sleek and understated, but coordinates well with just about anything! Not to mention you don’t have to worry about babysitting the case itself (like lighter colors) and the rubber, inner piece getting nasty and dirty from wear and use. I’ve dropped my phone about three times in this case on the concrete and not a crack in sight! I would highly recommend this, especially for iPhone 8/8+ users due to the glass that’s all around the phone!

Great case for my new cell phone. Protects it from drops without a scratch and it still lightweight. It fits perfectly in my pocket. Basic color which is what I wanted.

This case is for my mom, we gave her my daughters iPhone 7 when she got her new iPhone 8. My mom loves the color as it matches her old case... and the Otter Commuter series seems like a great protecting product.

This case offers excellent protection for an iPhone. I dropped my iPhone on hard pavement when it slipped out of my hands, and there was no damage to the phone (or the case). The lip on the front of the case also protects the screen if it is placed it face down.

I've used LifeProof and Otterbox products for a while now. Chose the Commuter for my iPhone 8 because it is far less bulky than Defender. I find the buttons on this case to be easier to manage than with the Defender. Overall, very happy with this purchase.

This case offers complete protection for your device - soft shell/hard case design keeps it safe from the occasional drops that will inevitably happen. Sleek design does not make your phone look too bulky. Just an overall well designed product!

Great case! Love the raised edge around the face of phone. I have a neurological issue that caused me to drop things or lose my grip. This case has saved my phone so many times! The buttons are well protected. It takes effort and intention to push the silent mode button. My previous case allowed the button to slip into silent mode unnoticed all the time.... VERY FRUSTRATING! Much Happier with this case. Durability 10+ Protection 10+ Ease of use 10+ Very happy with my purchase and store experience.

The commuter case is great. Gives the expected protection from Otterbox, it hour the clumpy style that the defender has. This is easy in or out of my pocket. I would’ve given 5 stars, but apparently the Otterbox cases no longer come with screen protectors...

My husband picked out this case for his new iphone 8. Provides the right amount of protection. And, the case is not too slippery. Good purchase and good discount at Best Buy, since we bought several accessories, got an extra percentage off.

I was having problems with the phone going on to silent mode. The switch on the side would flip to silent when I put my phone in my pocket or taking it out of pocket. So no alarm and I use the alarm for everything. The case is tough and look like it is supposed to be on this phone. It doesn’t hang over the screen and really protects it. This I know because I already dropped a couple times which I never do. And I was really glad I put the case on the phone. It’s an older phone now but this makes it look like new. There is a cover for the bottom plug for the cable at first I had a thought would be a pain in the butt but I got used to it and it keeps the lint from my pockets out of the speaker and mic holes and the charging port. So I am very pleased and will get another from this company when I get my new phone next month. As for the glass screen cover had one before it was great, but I bought the wrong size, my bad, and was going to return but my sister snagged it before I could return it. She says it was easy install and is perfect fit. She thanks you and I for the screen cover. I will be coming to get another one. Thank you!

This case is really durable. Bought it for my 13 yr. old son. He often drops his phone and breaks or cracks his screen more than a handful of times. Since I’ve got him this, phone is still intacted with no screen damaged.

I got this for my son’s iPhone 8. It is very light and sleek. It’s two layered case helps during unforeseen drops.

When I switched to a bigger phone I still wanted it to fit in my front pocket and this Commuter case allowed that along with solid protection. 35% sale was great too.

The OtterBox Commuter is perfect. Great protection for drops . I have dropped my phone 50+ times in all different circumstances and my phone is totally fine. In fact not even the case has any damage. The charging cover is durable as well and easy to plug in for a charge. Plus it’s real easy to take on and off to clean. I work in the food business and sometimes need to take the cover off to wash it. Piece of cake. I totally would recommend this case to anyone.

The otterbox fits perfectly and is just thick enough to make it easier to grip the phone but to so thick it is bulky to put in my pocket. I have previously used an otterbox for other phones and after several accidental falls, the phone was still safe and undamaged. I recommend this case to anyone who wants to protect their investment.

I previously had an Otterbox Defender and wanted something that was not as bulky for my new phone. I am pleased with the durability and slimness. The only downside is not having a protective cover over the screen.

Love these cases! They protect with out being overly bulky and still slide in and out of a pocket with ease.
