This is great protection for my phone at a reasonable price. Only issue is screen protector which looks easy does not install easily without some bubble no matter how much you prepare surface. I like the covers for usb port. Not flimsy.

I NEEDED a smaller case - the OTTER BOX DEFENDER was just a wee bit to big, but I loved the safety and security of OTTER BOX. The commuter is smooth - easily slides into and out of your pocket. The package puts together quickly. If anything, I would give the consumer a few more screen protectors. Those things get messed up quickly.

I choose this case because of it's slim design and durable quality. It was super easy to install and it doesn't require any more room in my handbag than the phone itself. It's light weight and so far I have no compliants.

Before I bought this case I read some scary reviews, such as 'the case is too small', 'it cracked my screen' and 'the top overhang hurts your ear'. The first two were not true, it fit the phone perfectly, it wasn’t even hard to put on. As for the third concern, the only way the case 'hurts your ear' is if you are applying pressure to the phone to your face. Unless you insist on talking for hours while holding the phone with your shoulder, this shouldn't be a problem. I honestly bought the case for the color, because I want my phone to look good while being protected. The only thing that is not covered is the screen but the rubber bumpers around the edge prevent it from touching anything. All in all, I am happy with my purchase.

I bought this case for my kids tablets. The otterbox company has always protected my devices and so I trusted them to provide a quality cover. The only issue I would have is it makes the tablet really heavy. The good thing is I don't worry that my kids will crack their new tablets.

Otterbox has the best protection when it comes to cases. The price kills me, but it is well worth it. My phones get dropped and I have never had a phone break in an Otterbox case.

This case protects well, has a cover for the charging port, which is important to me. It is a thin case. Best that Otter box makes I think. I had the case that was water proof and all the suppose to be good stuff. really expensive for what it was. Had to replace it twice.

So I've had Otterbox cases before (I mean why would anyone buy anything else right). The last case had a built in screen protector but I found it to be useless as I always install an InvisiShield; so I tore the screen protector out of the last Otterbox. It was a pain and left some residual glue that kept attracting dirt. Not so with the Otterbox Commuter! It's like they knew exactly what I wanted for my Galaxy S4. It provides complete protection while allowing me to use my InvisiShield and providing access to all the ports when I need them and covering them when I don't. Great job Otterbox, there really is nothing else that compares!!

this cover fits perfectly on the Samsung 4 and it does not make the phone bulky. It protects it very well. It is dificult to get the phone in and out of this case.

it keeps the phone protected from scratches and drops, it keeps closely to the size of the phone so its not super huge and bulky... its quick and easy to install.

My employer provided me with an S4 to contact me whenever they wish for work. One of the stipulations of getting the phone is that you must get a case to protect it. Now since this is a work phone and not my personal cell, I wanted a simple yet protective case since I would be using it mostly for business and for casual use. I didn't need a military grade post apocalypse level protection case that you can throw the phone at your assailant in the event you are being mugged. I have used an Otterbox defender on my Iphone 4S and was for the most part satisfied. So I thought I'd give the brand another shot for my new phone and tried the Commuter case. It's dual layer so you have a soft silicone shell with a hard plastic exo-skeleton to give it all around protection. It covers up most ports with pull up rubber flaps when you need to expose them. The camera lens and flash have adequate space so that the case doesn't impact pictures. It comes with one of those screen cover's that no matter what always ends up with 1 hair or a bubble inside of it. I used it anyway but you may want to upgrade. I probably will later when the screen cover goes beyond saving. Even with both layers the phone stays relatively thin. The bulk the case does add actually compliments the phone making it easier to hold (the S4 is shaped like a smooth giant credit card and doesn't always play well with one handed use). It being thin is a plus because as I said before I carry two phones like some futuristic gunslinger and can't afford to have huge bulge on one side of my body all the time. My one complaint is that because the S4 battery life isn't great (literally goes down 1 percent per minute), I often need to plug in the device to ensure that it stays charged. I've invested in 3 docks so far that are all different so that I always have power at the locations I spend most of my time. The reason I have 3 different docks is because though trial and error I've had to evolve through docks to find one that works in a way that allows me not to remove it from the case. Even on the one dock that works with this case, the flap that covers the micro USB port still finds a way to interfere with me easily plugging it in. It's a minor inconvenience and only affects those who use docks. There are no problems plugging in straight from a cable though.

I love that there are 2 colors instead of one and they go well with each other. I like that there is a cover for the headphone plug in and the charger plug in so dust doesn't get in.
