The commuter series is a nice balance between protection and added bulk. Been using the commuter series since the iPhone 5s. Case fits well. My only gripe that also affects previous commuter cases on older iPhones is the hole that shows the Apple logo on the back is exposed. This leads to scratches to the logo over time. Not sure why they don’t add a thin layer of clear plastic to cover the hole like the Defender series. What I usually do is cut up a cheap screen protector to cover the Apple logo so it doesn’t get scratched up. Otterbox is all about protection and to leave something like that exposed seems ridiculous.

We bought this case to replace my husband's case that was literally disintegrating. This case fit very well, although at first, it didn't work as well with the charger cord, but after putting it in a few times, it finally aligned perfectly and has been working well ever since. He loves it. It's a little heavier than the one he had previously but it's an OtterBox so protection is a given. It couldn't accept a holster and we couldn't find one with a holster so he opted to just put it in his pants pocket. He hasn't forgotten it even once. It looks sleek and the phone works perfectly with the case on. The Best Buy salesperson installed the case for us too! BONUS!

I love this case, the color is so cute and it has a good edge so the screen won’t break. I also really like the two parts to the case with the rubber and plastic. I wish it didn’t get dirty so fast though.

This 2-part case is a snug fit, with rubber wrap insert and hard plastic outer case. Feels safe and sturdy, and doesn't make the phone bulky. Well worth the price paid.

Reasonable sturdy, seems to provide good protection for the phone without being too bulky. Would be nice if it included something to protect the screen.

Have purchased this otter box case for several of my family’s iPhones and the main reason is because it is a very sturdy reliable case. We have dropped our phones multiples times and the case has kept the screen intact. I highly recommend the Commuter because it’s thin, sleek look, and best of all it protects your phone.

This is 2nd time I got the OtterBox Commuter and I do like it. It is not bulky so easy to hold. When phone was not in I tried dropping it and it always seemed to fall on back or side then back versus front. Though hope I never drop with phone it would be good if acts the same to preserve screen. Still need to get a tempered glass screen cover, but in meantime keep in felt cover when in bag and am careful. The soft rubber also allows for for comfortable good solid grip. Of course everyone has their own preference, but this works for me.

I have had several Otterbox cases and this one is the best in my opinion. I love the color and I also love the fact if I wanted to buy another Commuter case I case switch out the liner or the shell, or if one get broke or damaged in any way I can order on Otterbox website for a liner or shell.

Fits phone very good and seems to be good protection from drops. Don't care for the back of the case, when you place your phone down with the face up the back of the case can slide very easy . Most other cases I have used have an anti slip coating or rubber type feet on the back or something to keep it from sliding.

Good case, perfect fit, very protective. I would recommend this case to anyone who needs to protect their cell phone without too much bulk.

Purchase for my daughter to protect her phone. She loves the sleek design because if feels like there isn’t a case although it is. Her phone is protected and the case isn’t bulky.

This case is really sick elk made and doesn’t add too much to the overall size or weight of my iPhone 8. Have dropped it several times already and it has not even a scratch!

Always been a fan of OtterBox products. My wife was looking for a new case for her phone and I told her I would pick her up one. Sent her some pics of the colors and she chose sea foam green. Works as expected. Can reach all the buttons with ease and will keep her phone safe and sound!

Previously I purchased an Otter Box defender which absolutely protects the phone! I dropped my phone multiple times on hard surfaces and the Defender did the trick every time! However, this time around I wanted a cover that was less bulky. Therefore, with this purchase I am going with the Commuter. I do have a slight concern as the Commuters frame is trimmer compared to the Defender. But the commuter passed the test! Yesterday, my phone dropped about two feet onto concrete and all was well!
